Потратил 3.5 часа на изучения форумов и пришел к выводу, что установка неоригинального ссд не важно NVMe или AHCI приводит к повышенному нагреву корпуса макбука и сьедает батарею на много быстрее. О чем говорит Ваш опыт?
а вывод один не покупать макбук )) а купить аналогичный асус и накатить мак ось ))

For those who are having sleep problem, you could try using the command
sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 25
This works for me but slower wake / sleep

I upgraded a late 2013 MacBook Pro A1502 with a evo 970 but have had trouble installing the more recent versions of Windows 10. I am able to make a bootcamp USB drive but often the Windows installation can not find the drive partitions or the installation crashed towards the end of the installation whilst getting things ready. The Mojave installation works fine. The only version of windows 10 that works is 1507 but I cannot upgrade this version as the upgrade fails during installation. Can anyone confirm that they have installed Windows 10 with the sintech adapter on a late 2013 macbook pro?

Сделал замену по похожей схеме на Samsung EVO 960 500 GB. В 70% случаев спорадически не видит диск при перезагрузке (мигающая папка). После выключения и включения грузится нормально. SMC сбрасывать пробовал. В остальном все нормально. Скорость чтения 1500, записи - 1370.

Вот только каким образом он научился грузиться с NVMe диска - вопрос, EFI то остался старый, без поддержки.

I was looking at the exast same thread! Reply number #44 looks very promising. Looks like High Sierra and Bootrom update makes NVMe drives compatible with the late 2013 MBP!!

I read through the entire thread, it looks like it works fine now with High Sierra and updated Boot Rom. However given that High Sierra is still in beta I would wait till they release the final version.

I do the same process, use sm951 512g AHCI. It worked but the read and write speed only about 7600. I found the sad connect speed only 2.5GT/s . That maybe only pcie X1 connect. I do not understand what's going on? My sm951 firmware is same with that in video. Can any one tell me why?
Try to re-install the stick. I just install one yesterday and get the same issue at first but it has been fixed after I clean the key and re-install

And finally find the crux of the problem. The NGFF PCIE adapter(eshop.sintech.cn/ngff-m2-pcie-ssd-card-as-2013-2014-2015-macbook-ssd-p-1139.html) in front of the welding point is too bulging. Can not push too much, will encounter MACBOOK PRO interface. Then the speed become only 2.5GT/s (1XPCIE).I took it a little later and then pulled the screws again, and finally had 8GT/s (4XPCIE) speed, although the measured did not reach 2000 mb/s ,but had value for money.

2013 late's original ssd's read/write speed is 600MB/s
and Samsing XP941 and Macbook 2016's SSD is up to 1000MB/s
But Samsing's M.2 PCI-e ssd is more power consuming than original one
My macbook 2013 late with original ssd can use up to 7～8 hour
But now it can only use 6hr after i replace the ssd
I changed my MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014) with SM951 (256 GB). But never wake up when system go in sleep. I already erase NVM and even I change the hibernate
mode to 0. still having same issue.
you could try using the command :
sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 25
This works for me (2015 mbpr 13inch)

Thank you for your reply. I did read the description before I wrote the comment. The problem is that the SSDs are not available or available with more expensive prices than those from OWC in my country. So I thought there might be more available compatible AHCI SSDs than those mentioned in the description.

Sleep is ok but hibernate is problem.. when i close lid it will hibernate and waking up will freez, it's not because of aplication but system..

PCI-x4 ввели только в 2017, о нормальные модели боле менее пошли с 2019.
Макбук из видео 2015 года. У него шина на материнской плате PCI-x3. Он увидит SSD с разъёмом 4-го поколения, но скорость будет как на x3, то есть немного урезана, т.к. ограничена шиной материнской платы макбука

the mac mini doesn't support NVME drives only ACHI SSD
Do you know ESD? Apparently not, next time you are doing this first disconnect the battery and try to ground yourself especially when working on carpet you could damage your machine ;)

yes, i emailed store which sell that adapter and problem is that macOS doesn't support 3rd party NVMe ssd, W10, Linux does.
I doubt you can boot from a NVMe drive though

it can't, because 2012 version's SSD is sata interface, not pci-e.
By the way, also has converter for 2012, maybe.
And there's not any SATA to pci-e converter in some way
