I’ve been binge watching since the March 89 uploads! Awesome 👏 glory days ! Much harder to cheat on your husband when you have to use a phone box to call your lover!
Belinda (Vicki's friend) looks like Tracey And Steph...wow! 🤐 Interesting tune at 1h10 mins as she walks in...Thank you so much for uploading these! Made journey on the tube so much better !
August 1991 - an action packed month. A temporary goodbye to brash selfish Steph Barnes and hello to the Victoria(n) era. Two young ladies I could never take to. Steph was vain beyond belief and Vicky cold and haughty, though we could feel sorry for her to begin to.
Case in point.. Ivy after Brian’s death… there’s just no way she’d ever get over that, her son being brutally stabbed in the street in his prime.. but in Corrie, no problem! 😬
So silly that Gail is making a fuss at Andy, Steve and Tracy for spending so much time in her cafe when there is nobody else in the place but them sitting around one table talking. 🙄
Oops in 1991 Steve and Andy are able to run a pirate station without an antennae transmitter aerial on the roof of any building they're transmitting from.
Super Nintendo Entertainment System.. never heard of them? All the kids had them in the 90s, unless like me you were on the other team.. and had a Sega Megadrive.
Ugh. Vicky should've only been around for a short while. She's such a dull character. And we'll shortly have to endure the boring storyline of her on and off romance with Steve Mcdonald.
I remember August ‘91 vividly - I’d had orders for deployment to Kuwait for July ‘91 - they were issued in January for a posting first to Osnabruck and subsequent deployment shortly after - by Feb 24th though came new orders - Beilefeld instead; shortly after those though I got an 01 confidential and a choice of posting - Cyprus, or Aldershot - recently engaged it was a no-brainer, Aldershot! What a muppet, 😂 by August I was preparing for marriage in September. The rest, 4 kids and 8 years later came the inevitable 12 months notice to leave. Life’s one regret that actually turned out to be a blessing - as do most. Happy times all round. Kinda. 😒👍🤔🤗. Thanks for these - I missed about 20 years of corrie, from ‘89, funny how you can drop straight back in anywhere and it still makes no sense why people watch people doing exactly what people did while they were doing it at home themselves. 🤷🏼♂️
Can't stand Martin tutting and hissing his way through his lines. Bet sailing around like a supportive galleon is a real bore too. I'm still watching though, eh 😉 cheers for posting 👍
did something happen to the alf roberts actor in real life in this month as he wasn't shown on screen at all? EDIT. Seems he suffered with a heart attack in 1991.
Yes it's been mentioned a few times (possibly around May/June '91) but Brian Mosley suffered the first of 3 real life heart attacks (the last one would be fatal) whilst filming a scene in the corner shop with Ivy. It was during that whole period where Audrey had left him.. so god knows what the writers had in mind as the storyline had to be shelved for obvious reasons - he's back in November.
How could Percy Sugden get to nearly 70 years old and not know he was allergic to cats? Surely he would've had friends and relatives that owned cats? Even today cats are still the dominantly owned pet over dogs.
Silly, childish, selfish Victoria. Not wanting to stop with the chain smoking Gilroy's for as long as possible. 🤦♂🤦♂🤑🤑 Let her go Des. You don't want her back, you want how it used to be between you, when things were great back. As one door closes, more doors open. Never chase women or buses, you usually get left behind.
Can't stand Mavis. The moral compass of Weatherfield. Always butting into others business, yet think a married man is in love with her and she gets jealous over Derrick every other month.
Never feel sorry for Des Barnes!! The actor Philip Miidlemiss has a relationship from 1995 to 2000 with a young actress called Alison King aka Carla Connor!
@@bsaunders5271 You could be right. I can remember an interview he did on the Brian Conley show a few years after he left Corrie. He came across as a right wanker.
Gail won`t marry martin because she would have the marital assets while Martin brings nothing to the table but his 20 year old todger. That`s how a woman`s mind thinks.

I like phylis she makes me giggle 🤭 because she just says it as it is! She doesn’t beat around the bush! Thank you 🙏 for your upload
Great character 😻

I’m absolutely loving these old Corrie’s . Thank you so much for uploading. Like I’m a teenager again, reliving my youth through Corrie memories 😂❤
Just settling in for a long watch. Thank you again Eve, you're a star x

Not having reached that part yet, is it Anna Friel from Brookside?
Yes
I thought she looks like Tracy too

@@EveHenleySpread My mate had Streets of Rage that was good.
Well, these episodes are from 1991. The Super Nintendo wasn't launched in the UK until spring 1992.
The McDonald family should have been written out after a year. All four of them are irritating
I can't stand them
Liz is the only one I don't mind. Simon Gregson isn't a very good actor but Steve is good looking.
Kev judging Steph for having an affair yet a few years later he has one.
I always wish I could be a Rita, but in fact, I'm a Mavis. :((
Emily is Deidre's personal piggy bank and child minder. I always thought she was taking advantage of Emily's good nature a bit too much :/
Worse, she has to listen to Deirdre constantly whinge and moan 🙄.
Wait until 1994 when she subsidises the air fare for Deirdre’s Moroccan toyboy. The poor sap has to pay it back using tips from his restaurant job.
Ugh. Vicky should've only been around for a short while. She's such a dull character. And we'll shortly have to endure the boring storyline of her on and off romance with Steve Mcdonald.
I never believed the storyline with her parents killed in a crash, thought it far fetched even back then.
What a great show it was then compared to the rubbish it is now.
And it already was not as good as 20 years earlier.
The MacDonald kids and their radio station is pretty darn funny!!!

What about P.J Leisure’s assets , e,g the amusement arcades etc
Conveniently swept under the rug...
Anna Friel as Victoria’s friend.
Martin's advice to Des is absurd
William Roache was a Captain in the British Army, before he became an actor. I can’t recall Ken Barlow in the Army?
How do you put these on you tube ? Amazing
ITV are monetising them now, so I take that as the royal seal of approval lol
