    I didn't realise how long it can take to repair a crash damaged jet. Finding much quicker ways to fix damaged aircraft is vital, especially if a war breaks out. Easier said than done though on Fifth Gen fighters.

      @ronile81 Yes, a surprisingly long time, although I suspect there has been a great deal of red tape involved (not on the aircraft itself! 😆). This project is essentially a proof of concept that will serve as a base-line for future work of this nature. The more aircraft they repair the more efficient they will become. In a future conflict situation this work could make a positive difference in terms of the number of F-35's that the U.S. Airforce can field on the front lines. There certainly seems to be a bigger picture here beyond getting a single aircraft back in to service. Thanks for your comment, I hope you enjoyed the video. ~Mike
