Can we take a second to appreciate how this man is able to drive in 3rd person with a wheel

@@MarzenPlayGames No, he played in 3rd person, and then made 1st person camera from replay, you can see it on HUD. I know it because I also play in 3rd person camera. This game is very hard to learn. I play it with controller and it took me like 1 to 3 year to almost master it. But now I can see results after all the strugle. Right now, I am mostly getting in Top 100 or sometimes Top 200, worldwide, in daily, weekly or monthly rally races. This is for me most satysfying game in terms of feel of speed and fast decision making to not to get wrecked. It's sad that Dirt Rally 2.0 don't have an option to choose an original Dirt Rally physics and 3rd person cameras, mainly for experienced users that played the first game for hundreds of hours.
@@happycoconut8260 Maybe you are right, but I don't really think that people play 3rd person on racing wheels. As you said, you play on controller, it's easier to play that way on 3rd person, but I don't want to say you are 100% wrong, we just don't know that.
PS Much respect for mastering that type of game, for most users it's just 10-20 hours and uninstall
@@MarzenPlayGames Yeah, but you can't add HUD on replay, so he's definitively playing on 3rd person. I tried to play a Asseto Corsa on a wheel in 3rd person at my friend's house, and it was playable. Even I get few good laps. But I had already more than 70 hours of Dirt Rally, so I learned how much gas, brake and steering I had to do on controller, to go to corner most effitiently, and it applies same with steering wheels. Because when you play Dirt Rally even with controller, your controller have same precise steering turn angle, gas and brake angle as a Wheel, but instead of controlling it precisely with wheel and pedals, you do it in less precise way with left stick and trigers. But it can be done even in controller with great precision, but you to know how.
@@happycoconut8260 Agreed, the rush and satisfaction that this game gives is the best, especially with 1st person camera and VR (+wheel...). I place around top 20 to top 10 mostly in the challenges right now. And to HenrikM, very nice! Do you also drive the online challenges?

Mad how good the game looks compared to other games around the same time as this was released. Graphic comparisons actually show details are better in this than DR 2.0!

You're dropping into 2nd on the every hairpin/share turn far too early, man.
Just drop to it into 3rd then just before you rotate, drop into second and you will get good power on the exit.

The group b's were a lot easier in the first game though
I usually use the limiter on second gear, you seem to like the grip more and use third gear more.
