Mate, the reason why most of us loved your channel was because you owned interesting cars that were so cheap that almost everyone could own. Glad to see you realised that and you're going back to your roots

This is the reason his channel is one of the best on youtube constantly getting unique interesting vehicles and showing us the reality of how expensive some of these cars can be to maintain.

Agreed. Personally I find his older videos a lot better than the newer ones. They have "more soul" in them, seeing as he was making videos about affordable hoopties, rather than "hoopties" with a 5-6 digit price tag.
My personal favorite is his video about the 1993 Lexus ES300 5-speed he bought for only $200. Once he got it washed and detailed, it was sooooo enjoyable to look at.
Edit: Oh and of course his 1996 Buick Park Avenue Ultra is one of his best purchases in my opinion.

What I've learned is that you should figure out if the manufacturer got cute with the engineering that year. His Aston Martin Rapide seems like a decent deal since it has Ford parts, so it should be pretty cheap to own from a mechanical standpoint. The electronics and interior would be expensive to maintain, but at least the parts that make it drive should be cheap to maintain.
Teodor Spiridon parts might be cheap if u cross search for them but the labor is gonna be killer. Theres barely any room in the engine bay to work.
Hookah Phene labor is always expensive anyways at least it takes care of the parts cost for the most part

Yes, i just got a ‘99 cabriolet and immediately did the IMS and got a new clutch. Great car, $21,500 with only 34k miles
Thankfully, mine (986 s model) was already done, top, and new tires as well. Got mine (non running) and luckily, only needed a battery. Fingers crossed, I've only put 5k miles on it.

At 175K, if it was going to happen...it would have. (Or, it's already been done.) For $3K...get it done and don't worry about it. He'll still be well under the book value of that car.
@@brysonkuhn3290 definitely not if it's a BMW. Bought my X3 with 170k thinking it's been sorted(BMW confirmed most problem items were fixed) and it kaboomed at 182k needing a whole new engine.

The day you pick it up, the day I bought my 1991 300E Merc, it was a one owner, my Doctor in fact, I was so lucky, you couldn't fault it. 106,000 km for $6000 drove for 1 year, now it sits in the back of my garage with a cover over it, ok, it's a common model and worth nothing, but it's immaculate and he paid $128,000 in 1991. So it is a very special car to me, very high quality, very uncomplicated and most of all, when I drive it, it smells and drives like new.

I have always loved the 996 and the melting headlights, it's one of my favorite Porsches, I remember getting Need for Speed Porsche Unleashed for the PC on my 7th birthday and playing it all the time and still do, the 996 was so cool to me, I always have loved the looks, it wasn't till I got older that I found out how everyone hated the 996 and it's headlights especially, I think the 996 is a beautiful and very underrated car and Porsche ❤️
Yes, agree. Loved that game. There comes my passion for Porsche. From the Porsche unleashed I loved the history bits of the cars and the 964 in dark blue plus 944 turbo. But I felt in love with the 966 from need for speed hot pursuit 2 and a yellow turbo and the GT2 version from the need for speed most wanted
Yes! The NFS pursuit games have their merits, but my all-time favorite was Porsche Unleashed, the racing and history were great and I loved buying the really beat-up used cars and fixing them
Yeah if you grew up in the 00's it's hard not to like it. I think it got a bad reputation from boomers who were stuck on the old styling, millennials seem to love the 996.

Great purchase for $6k!! iCarsoft OBD port scanner will get rid of airbag light. Check engine light is likely O2 sensors - check the wires first as mice like to chew on them. First mod has to be exhaust! Darren Fister exhaust sounds the best!!
