For those wondering what type of player you are:
Low investment players: f2p, watch guides, can only clear a little over half of MoC or PF, have no lc sigs or limited 5* eidolons, and barely passable relics
Mid investment players: f2p or light spenders, watch guides and don't parrot information, can clear 90% of MoC or PF, have a few sig lc's or limited 5* eidolons, passable to good relics [135 speed, at least 60 crt(r) and 100+ crt(d)], plays almost everyday
High investment players: F2Ps with a lot of time sunken since or near launch and play almost everyday or everyday, watch guides and/or do calcs, can consistently clear MoC and may attempt/do 0 cycles, consistently get sig lc's or eidolons, relics have 160 speed, 70 crt(r) and 140+ crt(d)

I never taught as a college professor, but I did debate club just so I could argue with people and have taught a loooot of content creation knowledge to folks. thought I was mid investment but reading this I'm like kind of high? idk I feel like some of the info from mid and high can be applied to each other
I have all my DPS LCs and very good relics like in the range of the high invest comments but I still struggle to clear some content sometimes like MOC and PF but it might just be cause I have only like 3 elements for my DPS's and I can never 0 cycle it takes me like 7-8 cycles usually to clear and 4-5 if the MOC/PF lines up with my elements
@Iyoverse I doubt that is really the case. We understand the difference. But how much investment a unit and/or team comp needs is also imporant to that. They are not exclusive.
@@zerovking7629 same here, some of my teams struggle and i need one or two more characters to make my account do much better, and i do believe that it is due to my lack of elemental coverage and lack of a 2nd limited sustain. But overall my speed on most of my characters is considered mid investment but my CR/CD is high and stuff.

I really think CCs should tell their audience to focus on covering all the bases on their account every video, like prioritizing 2 sustains, 2 supports, and 2 dps. But most of the time when i see hsr content its just insert character is must pull

Absolutely true, I got sparkle who's supposed to be one of the best supports and I don't use her because my main teams are dot and E0 Acheron. You really have to think for your own account, the playstyles you enjoy, and teams you want to build
I only got her because I like her, not because I need her. For those who care about the meta, the 0 cycles, the min-maxers - basically the 5-10% of the player community - she's a tremendous, amazing addition to the team. She enables a lot of team comps and flexibility. Prydwen put her as an S+ I believe.
Basically for those who already have any two Harmony out of Sparkle/RM/Bronya/SW, or those saving for future characters, or those who are financially struggling, or those who have doubts, or doesn't like her at all, then skip her.
I figured out that the two CCs you'd cite would be Lily Aquina and Lisara aka Dreamy (despite the latter's controversy), because they were the first two CCs whose Robin's non-IPC FuA gameplays I encountered on UA-cam.

Yes there are stuff like using bronya e on her and instantly ulting so it lasts whole ult or using your sustain basic on low hp enemy so that Robin ult damage kills it and she gains extra energy, but like all those stuff is barely some special setups lol… then Acheron is also only for smart people and not casuals cause gotta be mindful with your debuffs and teams! lol she needs some special setups only on her e2

The thing is, when u see multiple creators showcase the same team comp. The tendency is, whoever had the comp showcased first imo is the relevant one. Coz why would i want to watch showcases of the same fkin team over 10 times from diff people? That just doesnt make sense. So i understand why people want to see the comp outside of FUA comp. Especially since many people, including me, does not like follow up attack characters.
I got her for my Swan/Kafka/huohuo team and the amount of combos she allows is insane

I have to test her with Acheron yet but I think they should work fine together.

like your video, I am pulling for Robin because my account is lacking mei and sparkle I came back and started playing during the last day of Sparkle release, so I only have Bronya as my good harmony but I do have Aventurine atm my main team is E2 Archon so looking for a solid 2nd team which I may try Robin, ratio and adventurine hoping in 2.3 sparkle banner rerun.
Wow I'm pretty much in the same situation. Came back tried for sparkle, then got e1 acheron and didn't manage to get adventurine. I'm like 20 pulls away from 50/50 and screwed.
I also got this same feeling, The older your account is and the more Diversified it is (lets say you have multiple Sinergistic dps like FuA DoT or Breakers) robin Becomes more valuable because Older accounts are inherently better invested on average, a New Player can make use of robin bur won't be able to squeeze her to the max
I used Jing Yuan in the story boss. Everything went surprisingly well because it’s lightning weak. Plus full stack LL has the best Super Break.
I said this before with Genshin and I'd say it as well for HSR--I honestly WISH I had that kind of investment because I'd go absolutely ham in fine-tuning my account. Not to say I can't do it now, but it's definitely a huge help for someone like me that enjoys the battle mechanics (especially getting my ass handed to because I get greedy using Acheron LOL).
Thank you. Now this is an informative video most people including me needed. I only see new character videos that showcase on where they good at but don't dig deep with these details. The future is also bright with Mei because of upcoming characters and the new super break mechanic.
I'm at rank 69 now and she is my first Harmony character and WOW she helps so much. I can't wait to fully build my FUA team

They are going to add another mode soon that will need 3 teams. That is when Robin will be "needed". I usually pull one of each sustain and then pick the DPS that fits my playstyle.

After looking at certain dreams of later characters, I just don't have any reason to pull for her unless I wanna min-max 0 cycles. Nah I'm just a casual player with Ruan Mei and Bronya already ain't needing another Sparkle like Harmony that still gets hit while disabled.
I want to ask, with S1 what is the best planar set for me to run?
I think Robin will stay meta relavent as long as the follow up attack team stats strong. She oretty much puts it into its ideal comp. The only concerns for future follow up units is if they are able to slot into that team as well as topaz and ratio or be sutarionally better than one of them.
I think topaz, avent and robin will be staple for FUA for a long while, the last slot is depend on if you need more ST (Ratio) or AoE (Jade)
@@vanagandrd4877 I could see that. Would be nice if Jade can offer good AoE while not being ovetuned to make Ratio worse in every instance, so you would swap between based on the content.
I really want another Topaz I know it’s not likely, but I just wish we had a synergist who has better animations. While buffing the follow up team without needing e1 or s1
@@Moretropes11 Yeah, i think Topaz is in a similar position to Kafka that she's so specialized introducing a character to replace her would most likely be blatant powercreep or posibly even a worse version of Topaz. Her buffs at e0 are still decent and she enables Adventurine and Robin a lot even at base but I agree she feels incomplete when paired with Ratio without e1s1 by only providing the one debuff.

e0 robin came home in after losing 50/50. unlucky me couldn't get e6 hanya, and even tho I don't have/like 2 units on the PRAT team, I still got her as my 1st limited harmony.
I have full followup team, but I'm not rolling for Robin, as her character trial didn't spark any joy for me.

Im set and got them all. robin is on my follow-up team. ruan mei is with jingliu and sparkle is on acherons team.
Btw the bronya vs mei argument, bronya an mei are different fo team comps, bronya an sparkle are for hypercarry best, an mei an robin are for multi dps teams best, so it's not a fair comparison

There's a creator by the name of chewyy that did a lot of testing pre release. This was with the final version of Robin's kit. Every video showcased robin outperforming ruan mei and from what myself and others can tell it's pretty legit. The team did require some speed tuning however not as much as you said. Robin had around 133 and others 150 ish. Now I say this ofc acknowledging I am not the person to discuss mechanics or anything in this game I'm sure there's nuances I might be missing but if you peek at their showcases I'm curious on your take

This is the most tactical-scientific video channel about HSR. Iyo just breaks things down so well, I can put together good teams with the hands I've been dealt as far as characters go.
I don't have eighter Topaz or Aventurine, but I do have a Herta/Himeko/Jing and obv Ratio (yes I enjoy them), so the question is even without Topaz/Aventurine, is Robin still worth pulling?
I got e0 s0 robin for my e6 s1 acheron just because the other team on the other side will use sparkle and ruan mei
If i want to try playing followup team but not sure about it and can only choose between topaz and Robin, which one do i pull for?

I don’t have much FUA members like Topaz or Aventurine, but I always loved her design so I pulled. But on a strategic sense, I have the premium FUA buffer, so in case they announce I really love and they happen to be FUA I’m not held back by not having a strong buffer for them. So I guess it’s a form of investment 😅
He just yaps too much. Regardless, everyone's account is going to improve over time. So if you got/want/ didn't know and get Robin, you'll find great value in her. Your account progress will not stagnate as long as you play diligently and know the basic skills to play optimally. The difference between Mei and Robin is so minute that they can be interchangeable. Iyo is just fighting inanimate objects at this point.

If youre on your 50/50, then id say go for topaz, either way youll be able to guarantee jade. She would benefit your account either way from the leaks ive seen. Plus we'll be getting more jades by the time 2.3 rolls by
No, Topaz doesnt synergize with Jade at all. Jade is a supportive aoe follow up dps unit that synergize with other aoe units and units that sap their own hp like Blade
I have Dr Ratio and Aventurine already (though I have him as a shield bot, no sig LC) but wasn't considering a FUA team. The only reason I was considering Robin was because I don't have any of the power puff girls. So it is difficult for me to potentially skip Robin based on that alone. Even though I know from an Account value standpoint I would benefit more from any one of the power puffs or even future characters like Firefly and a character in 2.4
I would be slotting Robin (if I got her) in my JL team since they currently have Bronya and fu xuan with Lynx. She'd likely replace Lynx. But I feel like HuoHuo would just be a better Harmony to run in this team and she's probably due for a re-run at this point.

Anyways Robin is amazing especially if you don't have Powerpuff girls, she also works really well with Bronya, JL
@@aidanarmaggeddon Lynx is just there because I don't have another unit that really does much for JL. I am not killing fast enough with JL more than likely bc I don't have her sig. Currently using level 80 herta shop cone instead. My CR is 90 and my CD is 200 something. Could maybe polish Bronya a lil more but still. Also ye I know, but the thing is RM, Sparkle, HuoHuo are all most likely to get re-runs very soon.
So why grab Robin for short term if I'm not doing FUA when I can just wait a bit longer and get better value in the immediate? I'd be going for E0S1 for any of the three PPG's anyway and as a current light spender I can't really justify using all my free pulls now for Robin. I just feel some guilt for skipping every Harmony so far.
I got Robin, but I have a mini-whale account and own every single limited 5 star other than Argenti. XD Though I have to cut back now cause I just lost my job this week, sigh. Hopefully doesn't take me too long to get a new one. Hopefully anyway. But at least I have Dr. Ratio, Topaz and Numby, and Aventurine to go with her. I was hoping to get Boothill e2s1, but I doubt I'll be able to now.

I basically just got her bc of the extra turns she gives. Like if I can’t clear a Pure Fiction side, I gotta put robin there for the extra turns! That was my ONLY thought when getting her.

get ruan mei when she reruns she's by far the most comfortable and universal harmony unit

I have low-to-bottom of mid investment account. I finally solidified my DoT team and want my 2nd team to be FuA! Have E1 Himeko, Ratio and Topaz but my 150 wishes failed to secure Adventurine 🤦🏼♀️ i have sparkle that i could make due with... wondering if Robin is still a worthy investment or if I should save for Adventurine's return (or debut of another FuA sustain) 🤔

if you like her - pull. she's on par (sometimes a bit better, sometimes a bit worse) with RM and Sparkle, if you don't have any of them - pull. if you have them, and don't mind pulling a character this patch - pull.

@@senioralexander6681 she will be comfortable in any team by herself, she still advances forward your team and gives 50% DMG and 1000-1500 ATK, while dealing some cheap damage.
the difference between LCs is the usual ~10% damage output, but signature has ER, which is nice but NOT needed.
E1 is nice, but also not that huge, you're better off just getting someone else, unless you really like Robin

Robin 100% just use Pela instead of Topaz, it's only slightly worse
Robin because not only can you run pela, but you can also save for jade later on

I like Robin, but honestly can’t see how she would help my account which is really built around Archeron team (Pela, Sw, Geppy) and Jing Liu team (Bronya, Mei, and Fu). Even for Firefly, Robin doesn’t seem better than Mei or HMC. And Archeron probably has some better support coming along to replace Pela or SW.

Robin is sure as hell next to ruan mei, problem is she is atk focused, if a character like blade is next to her her value will go down, since blade have a shitty scaling with atk, even that 50% bonus dmg is not that important if you trow out her atk bonus she gives out the window, i belive robin true pontetial comes out using FuA and dot teams, wich is very good, there are tons of characters like that, but ruan mei is still top

I came back to Honkai after a good 8 moths or so? I remember quiting because content was lacking and I came back now for the anniversary. Great content added in the meantime. Really love the mechanics an tactics behind the gameplay as I never really got into Genshin; not my type of gatcha game. But anyway no Bronya or Sparkle in my roster and while I wanted Topaz I first decided to go for Robin as I had lost the previous 50/50 and I like Move forward. So got Robin .... and then I lose my 50/50 to Bronya 😅
Really happy to have her finally but yeah ... should have immeadtly focused on Topaz because now I'm on the hunt for some serious Jade. But luckily having a ton of fun in the process 👍

I use E2 Robin with E2S1 Acheron, E1 SW, E1 Huohuo. Only buy $5 monthly but have insane luck and first month player who saves/target pulls. So you're right in that hypercarry players want a high investment team and robin.

I'm trying crack teams right now (not cracked) so i really want solo characters mainlt for gold and gears. I'm talking baby boi Blade, dps Adventurine, sometimes Fu Xuan gets lucky and doesnt get one hit. I'm hoping Sam can also keep up or i might just stick with Acheron and Imagine Dragons
Let's get one thing out of the way getting Eidolons isn't cheating in order to "cheat" we have to have done something that is dishonest or have obtained something in an unfair way to gain an advantage.
Which nobody who spent on the game has done because whatever Eidolon they got they got it in a honest and fair way.
I say this because not only did I just hear you say that but I had some fool yapping at me about how getting Eidolons is cheating and I'm like what the heck is little bear yapping about.
the real question is - if you have Ruan Mei, Sparkle and Bronya - do you still need Robin? should you pull for her or just stick with your supports? I have their S1s too... might just save for firefly or go for Topaz
I would advise against pulling for her unless you specifically want her for X thing.
Think of it this way. Why would you waste your jades/money for a character you aren’t madly in love with, just to sometimes replace 1 of the 3 characters you already use at whatever given investment.

for me it is kinda opposite. As relatively new player no Bronya, no May etc., no relics, no cones XDD she looks extremly easy to build and use. + 50% dmg for 3 turns for the whole team - 1 sp, 20 CD, 800 + att,
you also dont need almost anything special aside from ER rope, free LC.
she is also doing a bit of dmg.

I still think robin is better for blade+jingliu. The only issue is getting blade to 136 spd.
What bothers me the most is lack of debuffs for that premium FUA team if you're not all into that team with Topaz / Aventurine E1s / S1s.
I do not like that about HSR right now at all.
When I can already get my 3 stars with 3 cycles left over it feels awful either way.
I don't need the better performance for anything, so am I going to skip the next characters with fancy animations, new mechanics etc. just to tick all the synergy boxes? Absolutely not.
On the other hand if you don't get the extra investments it takes away the fun for absolutely no reason.
As far as I remember, Genshin has only done that with that awful Chiori C1 and that's the only case I can think of.
When Eidolons / LCs unlock new mechanics, new synergies, then imho they're done right. Simple power up is fine but it's boring so it's w/e.
When instead, Eidolons / LCs only make things you already have available work properly, it's just annoying and the only thing you get out of investing into that is to not be annoyed anymore.
But now you're annoyed anyway because you had to skip another banner just to not be annoyed ..
Yeah, imho this design is terrible.
Even knowing ahead of time, I did pull both Robin and Topaz and I guess I'll see where I can use them properly, but I'm simply not getting Eidolons or LCs to fix their bad game design.
Maybe the Topaz with Ratio will have to swap for an SW and Topaz will only go with Clara instead. Or another future character.
