Actually you people are living in Assam from the British period as a gardener. Adivasis they belong to jharkhand, odisha, and some parts of chattisgarh their orginal motherland is jharkhand, odisha and some parts of West Bengal. Since they migrated in the British period from that time they are living in Assam moreover they does not fall under Assamese community. According to me they should move to their mother land

Technical their demand for ST status is wrong because they are not orginal from west Bengal. They should demand ST certificate from their state of origin that may be jharkhand or odisha.
