Hence there's minimal supply of pork and thats the reason most Hindus don't eat pork and often develop a taboo feeling towards it

Great to see somebody outside of our contry coming to north east and covering up all the north east delicacies and foods ...Thank you and best wishes from assam...
i have hardly seen any indian food vlogger visiting northeast ....thanks sunny for this
Thanks Sister Shyamalima for portraying our Assamese Cuisines to the world, that is much needed...Keep up the good work
Very happy u r covering northeast
India
Love northeast from Himachal Pradesh 🇮🇳
As a long time viewer and a resident of Guwahati I was super happy to see you here. Our food and culture doesn't get much exposure so much much thanks for covering it. Love from Guwahati, Assam. ♥️
A true Assamese cuisine doesn't use so much oil. It's just restaurant recipe.
12:00 I'd like to add that pork isn't exactly discouraged by the Hindu Majority. It's just that pork is haram in Islam and interestingly most butchers in india are muslims. Hence there's minimal supply of pork and thats the reason most Hindus don't eat pork and often develop a taboo feeling towards it
Spot on, I remember eating wild hog's meat.
I am so delighted to see my region being represented especially in your channel!!!! Please do visit Assam again. Other parts of North East are just as pretty and have diversed culture and culinary options 🌸✨️
Same! So glad he visited .
Finally, north-east India in BEST EVER FOOD REVIEW SHOW.. 😍😍, Literally, Chills Chills...
Have been waiting for this moment for ages.. It's Like a dream come true.. 🥰🥰
Thanx alooot Sonny for showing it to the World.. ❤❤
Same here...☺
In my life for the first time I tried pork and beef in North East India, I am so happy and thankful to them because without them it couldn't have been possible, till the age of 28 i never tried beef, pork, pigeon. I think we are the product of our surroundings, our mind is conditioned in such a way that we fear to try it, trust me guys just give it a try and you will never look back, thank you
Waited for this series for a long long time. Thanks to the BEFRS team for covering NORTHEAST INDIA. ❤️ From NORTHEAST INDIA...(7 SISTERS + 1)
I am from north bengal and cuisine here is similar with Assam too , we love pigeon , river snails , Pork , Pitha and all that you have shown in this. Love this cuisine.
Hamm from cb 😁
Ok! I'm also from north Bengal but river snails are not that common here. May be some tribes eat it but never seen in my real life
@@shubhamtubu8027 Never seen ? That means you are Banghladesi immigrants settled here. I'm a Koch-Rajbanshi and we are the native people of this land. And we call River Snail dish as 'Takoa' ( টাকোয়া ).
@@shayanraj7840 I'm Hindu Kshatriya. My surname is "Sen" descendents of "Sen" dynasty of Bengal("pal" & "Sen" dynasties are the earliest dynasties of Bengal). So I'm way more indigenous than you're lol. Koch are also a tribe, so I guess it's common to eat snails among your people not the other parts of north Bengal like alipurduar, Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, kalingpong even among the majority of people of cochbeher bcz my mamabari is also in cochbeher.
@@shayanraj7840 We call it "kuchiya"
I love joining you each week on another culinary escapade! You are the Tony Bourdain of now bringing real people and real food to the rest of the world! Love you and your teams work. PEACE!
Bourdain is one of my heroes and this giy definitely emulates his charisma and wit
জয় আই অসম ❤Love from Assam, Darrang, Mangaldoi, Dhula
The Color Grading, the camera angles, the BGM, The plot.. The humour 🤣. Just next level !!
M from Beltola Guwahati. Thanks for visiting our place and covering the best cuisines of our native state.

Seeing u try our food made me so happy i cant express. U weren’t disrespectful and wanted to try everything and that made me so happy. I really respect it. I never thought guwahati would be shown to the world in such a big channel but thank u. I appreciate u trying to change the views on us northeastern people. ❤
Been watching for other corners of the earth 🌎, like Phillipines, South Africa and others western countries but now I'm watching my own Northeast Food Review.. thank you Sonny for making this possible
Brilliant video. The weed pitha idea is something to think about. You unlocked the culinary potential of pitha manifold.
Hopefully first of many episodes on Assam.
Good to have you back in India man!
Northeastern cuisine is definitely a bit unknown and different to us mainlanders, but I should mention one thing, you will find almost the same type of fish dishes and indo-chinise fusion dishes like this in West Bengal, you should definitely explore bengali traditional and modern cuisine a bit and I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed.
Glad to see you visiting north-east India... The food there's insanely good and highly underrated
Thanks for covering this part of India and showcasing it. We have a lot of so called food vloggers but they are not over with butter, cheese and mayonnaise. Will follow Shyamalima now as I haven't seen anyone promoting such regional food. Will be looking forward to the series of North east India. Way to go.
Welcome to Guwahati, Assam, Northeast India💕💕🩷🩷
Glad to see you try our authentic cuisines. Amazing experience and nicely shown by you!🤤🤤
Thank you Sonny for covering North East India. Love from Kerala. ❤️❤️❤️
North East is integral part of India. As a maharashtrian I love north east food culture..❤️
Omg! I’ve watched you for years. I’m from north east India and I’m so happy you’re here. I just don’t believe it. We’re a very small region and it’s so unbelievable to see you here 😮 and show us in such a big platform.
As an Indian I’ve never seen ppl mention northeast of India be shown as much as other parts of India! Love that you are showing diverse cultures! Love from south India!
Hi Sonny! Thanks for covering this part of India! Social media is making people tolerant and allowing them to accept that it's more important to be a morally better person rather than judging someone solely by the food they eat. I enjoy pork and beef at the same time, and I usually prefer giving a chance to a new cuisine before judging it.
Thank you for coming to North East India... Didn't really expect you to be here. But very warm welcome to our region 🙏
I am so delighted that you came to my state , my city ! I wish more people come and explore the northeast India , India is not all about Mumbai and Delhi . Each state in India is unique .
I am from Assam and we love non veg, especially pork 😋
Tq god dinosaur didn't exist u have eaten that too I think
Yup may be 🤔... Am also pork lover.. And from Assam too @@dynamicvision_838
@@dynamicvision_838 I believe Dinosaur meat would have been really tasty. Giant Local chicken.

Welcome to Nagaland in Advance. I am from Nagaland and looking forward for your episode in Nagaland. Its going to be another legendary food review show of yours. Best food review show ever. Loved all of your contents. Out here in Nagaland, the food here is totally different from Mainland india, we dont use much masala and cooking is simple yet delicious for sure with a variety of dishes, mostly meat is our main dish ingredient and you will find lots of exotic foods. Come and taste as much as you can for review to the world. Thank you 🙂. Few must have are naga pork dish, axone with smoke dry pork, anishi with dry pork, chicken or fish curry naga recipe with bamboo shoots, etc. I hope the guide here in Nagaland will give the best tour for Authentic Naga foods 👍
Been following your content for over 3 years now, and I'm so happy you made your way into the North East as well. As an Assamese, I can testify that this video was a great mix of the daily, the occasional, and the exotic! ❤️
Best thing about this video is you have chosen much small content creator or very underrated hotels/resturants despite having so many options. !!!
Nice to see you covering our north east india. It will be an honour to welcome you in our state Arunachal Pradesh and I'm sure you'll love our traditions, cultures and specially our traditional foods ❤️😁
Always think northeastern states are underrated when it comes to the culture and cuisines . Love from himachal❤️
Assamese food is much tastier than northern or southern food, with the use of less spices but lot of natural herbs. I'm surprised how much tastier and healthier they are even without so many spices.
Taste is very subjective thing. It might be tastier for you but not for others.
For me, northern food is better then Assamese
Too much masala 💩
use of less spices but lot of natural beings is probably what u have to say
Boy, this video is an eye opener even for Indians. Love from the down south.
You should visit south india 🇮🇳 mainly kerala... You will be blown away with the diverse food in every district of kerala within... ❤
As a fellow malayali. Let Northeast shine this is not our place. Unlike us they barely get any chance to be in spot light. So let's focus on NE.
Can't believe he cam to Assam and exploded all the foods in Guwahati 🥺🙌🏻🔥
Love from Assam 💓
Good love from assam but you didn't noticed that shown incorrect map of India 0:16 sorry for commenting but we should keep noticing these things
@@gouravpandey7053 You are right 👍
This should not be over shadowed due to excitement.
Thank you legend .... Because of you now i can show this video to anyone who asks me what food is special in my state ❤️❤️
You are a brave soul trying anything and everything. Some questions for you:
1. Any food that you were scared to try
2. Food that you most dislike
3. Favourite country in regards to food.
4. Favourite country outside of food
5 favourite people.
Keep up with the great videos! Love them.
Appreciate you and your team for the North East tour, much needed exposure ♥️

Wow they have shown Reboti after so long, during my college time I almost visit every week and taste always amazes me....I am from Assam,Guwahati
Totally worth watching👌🏻
Great work Sony and Shyamalima for showing North East food❤️
Pork with sesame seed paste which is a Khasi tribe cuisine is my favourite. Yummy 😋😋😋
Great to see you to cover NE India. The diversity of India is impossible to capture by visiting mega cities only.
One suggestion: NE India not only have different appetite for nonvegetarian but also it abundance of unique vegetable also. Please explore something like elephant plum, elephant foot, taro, bitter eggplant.
Taro? In NE India? Dang. Only ever seen Taro in Filipino videos
We want more of content from North Eastern part of India. Love from TN ❤
Fish bladder has a unique texture and is quite delicious, but it must be cleaned properly! I believe that’s the 2nd intestine Sunny tries around the 6th minute mark. Cooking it may vary from region to region, but we usually cook it in fish soup and it’s amazing 👍
Yup I love it. And I'm from west bengal
