    I'm west African and have been using this my whole life (before it was a fad). Shea Butter is shea butter. As long as there are no serious chemicals in it, IT WILL WORK. Don't kill yourselves over the color people. Yellow is stronger in smell, that's it. You don't like it, add essential oils, THE END, have a good day

    I have a friend from Africa and her family makes and sell the shea butter. I've watched them make it and they put no chemicals in it. yes it is originally white but they mix a tea bark which is grind down and it turns it yello. I've watched it, so there are no chemicals in it. you just have to be careful who you purchase it from.

    The colour with Shea butter. Isn’t always bad. Unless it’s pure white. In some African countries. They will add healing herbs to the Shea butter which makes it yellow. If it’s very bright yellow orange. Then red palm oil was added. Also fell the shea butter. Real shea butter as a weight to it. It should melt with easy with hands. Also really Shea butter as a nutty smell. It’s great for hair and skin. Some African countries cook with Shea butter. But a different type of Shea butter.

      Thanks. so the Yellow shea that's sold in most hair supply stores is which type? they only say from Ghana... Is this okay, or comparable to the Ivory? I've been looking at many suppliers and some are so expensive and i'm trying to figure out why other than supply and demand. if i am to buy the shea from a dealer i want to ensure that i know what i am getting and the differences.

    Okay well I'm Latina , and I received my shea butter in the mail yesterday and today I just used it i ordered from you guys .I've seen a lot of youtube video's and I guess all ethnicity use it and I decided to give it shot . I blended it with coconut oil olive oil , tea tree oil ,and grape seed oil .
    I massaged it into my scalp and hair . Left it on for 2 hours or so . I hated the smell , it horrible . After the two hours I showered and let my hair air dry . I loved the way it left my hair . But I can't stand the smell . I guess if anyone has any tip please comment

      ***** Yes ma'am I'm Latina . I'm always look to try new hair products and so far with the shea butter I'm not too crazy about the smell . Which is a big issue for me . I've used it's about 3 times or so . I've been trying to get my hair healthy again . Which I've been doing since January of this year my hair is much healthier . I used coconut oil . African jamican castor oil , eggs , shea butter, avocado, redken extreme deep conditioning mask , macadamia professional ultra rich moisture masque, amica deep conditioner , bioten . I don't apply all at the same time . I may do a egg and avocado and coconut oil hair mask one week , and next week I do something else . My hair has grown about 5 inches and it's shinny and healthier looking. It's a combination I guess ,and a big difference also would be that I don't wash my hair every day. I wash it every other day bc also the water strips my hair of natural oils and the chlorine in the water also damages hair

      First add shea butter to your face and blend all even on to your face then add sandlewood essential oil and lemon essential oil and ginger essential oil few drops of them all and then do gu_sha (scraping the skin with a crystal fin) to bring the blood to surface which Will create fresh collagen and feed the face of all them beutiful nutrients from the oils,after gu_sha scraping then slightly massge skin and leave on for about half hr to 45 mins then wash off, do this 2/3 times a week and you'll stay youthful plus this Will revitalise the skin putting all the elasticity back but you must also add collogen or gelatin in to your diet to feed skin.

Or will I have to heat it up every time? Is it like a grease? I want something that can easily get into my hair like coconut oil does.

    • @Alyakismydutchname
      @Alyakismydutchname 7 років тому

      No, it just evens out your skin tone and only lightens dark spots (which are essentially scar tissue) by helping your skin to heal itself. I scar/get dark spots easily so I frequently use it to bring my skin back to it's normal color but it does not make it lighter. You will remain the same color you have always been, your skin will just look smoother and healthier.
