Not a bad ride Harvey, not much money, no drama and no horrible surprises left from somebodys cousin who knows how to work on these things! Got 4trax 300 and rancher 400 seats on the table that have to be done by Monday and it looks like most of December I'll be at the repair shop helping out with all the odd jobs. Good luck with the car port guys and other projects. Peace Out.
Thanks for the warning about grinding Harvey. Once upon a time I did a little grinding got a steel sliver in my eye. Waited 2 days went to E.R. where they took the metal out then ground the rust out of the lens of my eye while I watched. Hard lesson learned. Take care DD
I had to do something almost identical to a 185s engine last year. Works great Unfortunately I have to change the shift shaft seal now as it's leaking oil after my last ride I guess that's what happens with 40year old machines. My buddy also has another trick. He center punches the shaft on the end and drills out the end of the shaft and taps it for a bolt he then welds all the way around the bold with a wet cloth on the shaft. Then he grids it square, slightly smaller then the round part of the shaft. Then slightly modifys the shifter and grinds a small track into the shift shaft for the bolt to slip thru for the shifter to tighten down. His way it can still be taken apart just like it was factory.
Harvey..,This is a good reminder to keep the shifter tight on its splines. On some bikes they loosen over time..if it wiggles to much tighten it, if it wont tighten take it off and take a hacksaw to the gap ..so it will tighten..Cheers.!
Hey Terri, It does work well, has a springy feel to it!!! Thanks always for Ur thoughts, watching, and commenting!! I hope U had a good Thanksgiving and that U R feeling well!!!

Hey, I’ve been watching your channel for a few months now. I picked up 2 atc 70s and one the exhaust pipe is just stuck to the motor and on both the flywheels will not come off. Any suggestions?
Hey Timelord! A couple of things.... First, U can clean the points and adjust them with the flywheels on if I recall properly.... Having said that, U need, www.ebay.com/itm/Motion-Pro-Flywheel-Rotor-Puller-Honda-ATC110-185-200-250R-FL350-TRX70-90-250R/254439741084?fits=Model%3AATC70&hash=item3b3dca569c:g:RggAAOSwYSFd49qa , also, use a lot of penetrating oil, U don't want to toast the crank of flywheel.... About the stuck exhaust, once again, a lot of penetrating oil, a lot of patience, and a large tap, like a 1/2 in - 3/4in pipe tap, get a bite on the broken pipe, tap and shake... Patience and be careful.... I have a set of large drill bits, I would drill it out if necessary... Most of all, good luck!!! Thanks for asking, watching, and commenting!!
Hey Lyndon, "A clumsy or inelegant job, usually a temporary repair; a patch, or repair." My thoughts were, I wanted a repair that did not involve welding to the shifter shaft and that was accomplished. With the engine idling down and the shifter clutch adjusted properly, I consider it a fine and functional repair. Having said that, I do appreciate Ur thoughts, comment, and that you took the time to watch!
