Its also very useful to use your RWR it can tell you where its coming from and how far away it is. older missiles like the aim - 7 are semi radar guided so they only use the radar on the aircraft, those missiles will not be detected but you can see where the aircrafts radar locking you from.
In case you did not already know you dont need to use the radar on the f45 becasuse in the tsd you can select enemies too CONGRATS ON YOUR FIRST MISSLE EVATION HOPE U DO MORE!!!!!!!!!!!
I am sorry to inform you, but that was a semi active missile, and without a radar lock it cannot track you, you can see at the last second the radar lock from the ship was broken due to the ship being destroyed. IK am a nerd and nobody cares 🤓
