Is that an 8 foot ceiling I see in the Vauxhall room?? Thanks to you, Brent, 8 foot ceilings are now the bane of my existence. I have seen modernism for the twisted Frankenstein that it is. Amazing material! Thanks a bunch!
Hi, joined you via finish carpentry. I live in Southern England and we have quite a few Georgian (I would say Regency, as there were three kings. George 1, George 2 and the one you fought against George 3) buildings. Getting some good ideas with my limited budget. Thanks.
Welcome aboard! Thanks for watching, I have a few guys from the UK who often share the differences between the US and UK architecture. Federal vs Adamesque, Victorian vs Victorian, Arts and Crafts, etc. There are interesting differences, please share when you can. Thanks.
Did I miss Part 2 of this video somewhere? Your latest video on door headings mentions building a Georgian room in a past video, but I can’t seem to find that one.
American construction history along with its terminology and still to this date impereal measurements absolutely drive me crazy as a person from the UK 😂
Looking forward to building a classical Georgian interior federal and colonial revival style home with you I tried emailing you so far I have not gotten any reply.

Haha, yes low ceilings were a thing in early New England houses because it was easier to keep warm.
Great video
Thanks!

You're welcome, thanks for watching.
I guess the base mouldings have to be that thick to match the raised panels on the walls?
Agreed. All about proportion and scale.
Great video when can we start building
Lol, as soon as you're ready.
