I am just a beginner at woodcarving. A couple knives and a couple tools and a pile of shavings as I learn the basics. The one area where I do have a lot of experience is watching UA-cam videos by a big group of carvers. In my opinion, you are the very best at describing the details of what and why you do things. You show us how you draw out where you will make your cuts and why. Then you explain the steps as you do them. Combine all that high level teaching with excellent videography-that’s why I call you the very best woodcarving teacher on UA-cam. I hope you will find the time to make many more videos. You and they are great.

Nice techniques exactly the video I needed!
I have a dozen done for gifts except for the beard stash and eyebrows. Waiting on a couple tools to show up!
Just one knife, so was hoping to do some of these types of cut thanks

Hey there, i found one of your comments on a video about Jupiter, from two months ago.
I really wanted to comment but youtube wouldn´t let me, so i´ll leave that comment here instead, i hope you don´t mind :P
On the Subject of: Our Moon just being called Moon whereas others have names.
Actually those moons are called Satellites, moons would be a laymans term.
Our Moon is called by different names in different languages, but usually it goes back to a deity.
We just came to understand that to be what "a moon" is. But it comes from an ancient Proto-germanic word that had the meaning "month"
As the moon takes roughly one month to go through the phases.
We refer to everything "to do with the moon" as "Lunar"
And Luna is the name of the Latin Moon goddess.
So as you can see, it is quite the other way around.
They may have names, but what we understand them to be, is labeled after the very Name of our own Satellite.
Much like the Sun too btw.
I hope that brightened your day :D

I also tried answering his question about the moon's name, but my answer was blocked...curious.

Because the moon and the sun are Anglo-Saxon names and the rest are Latin. Plus the moons of other planets were only discovered relatively recently while everyone who ever existed has seen the moon.

When you tried answering his question about the moon's name on the Jupiter video your answer was blocked & that's why you came here...the same thing is happening with everybody who tries to answer him, including me.
