Fantastic casual review with many great points, believe or not one of my favorite aspects to your reviews are your environment, As a renter in New York I long for a woodland area for my sword and knife reviews😅, great job Chris, gotta a couple of Fobos knives coming in from Eric, really looking foward to them
Because it is wide and flat with a lovely curve it’s a great food prep, camp all around knife by nature. Its great cpm 3v and 5 millimetre spine make it a decent survival knife as well. That’s hell of a pure beauty. What a great handle design and material. Thanks for showing me this treasure.
Random compliment here, I just acquired my first JX2 in 3V. Fantastic design and immediately shot to the top of my favorites list. Yes, I know I’m years late on this but thought I’d tell you how great that design is.
Hello 👋 Chris, greetings from Northern California. That's a good looking knife. Thank you for sharing this informative video. All the best to you. Stay safe out there. 🤗
I once worked in a call center. The employee handbook stated "Folding pocket knives are ok to have on Your person" I thought OK :) so I carried a CS Ti-lite 6. Great conversation started when used to take the plastic off of a Ramen Noodle Cup
Hey Chris. Yeah, the old days were kina cool, but ridiculous at times. If the knife on your belt doesn't scrape a ferro rod, well then pack a scraper I guess. You can get them anywhere for a buck or two. I even think that you can get them as a toy surprise in a box of Cracker Jacks. Great video! BTW: Do you still have that Quartermaster EDC? Fell in love with that one after your review!
Damn kool knife, looks like a real Brute!.....Chris, I have a question, maybe you could steer me in the right direction, I know you've owned a Blackjack Anaconda ll.....i own one I bought back in the 80'its mint never used, but I've misplaced the sheath over the years. I've tried to obtain one, but with no success.. I'd really like to get a hold of one, you have any ideas on how I could Get one?......much appreciated
Nice knife Chris. I personally don't think it should have ever been about " what can the knife do" I think it should have been what can the person do,, with the knife.
We do have a thermal elastic radar repel sheath & we work in a Call Centre mate.! Wth the bow drill divet we put a tracking tile. Used a 3D printer to make an adapter for the spine of the knife for ferro rod strker. Perseverence & imagination is the key. Is that the same cap you use 10 years agao? Your show is quite entertaining Cobber. Warm greetings from Australia.
Stated another way, yes, it’s very confusing to have a bow drill divot on a tactical knife and yet not have a sharp spine. Am I starting a fire with it or not? “Survival with rules” indeed, but curious rules none the less. I think some designers consider a sharp spine to look unfinished. To me, having one section of the spine with a crisp 90 degree, and then a nicely dressed section to show off the blade section (rounded or whatever) makes practical sense.
I've been trying to get a SOSPES knife in Saber grind for a few years now with no such luck! (The Sospes is worthy of another run!) Just looking at a SOSPES knife makes me feel like fighting an alligator! HOW DO I GET A SOSPES IN SABER GRIND?
But Chris, with thier 4-payment plans most anything is within your price range lol-ol-ol hell that is how I have bought many of my $300+ knives from DLT 🤷♂️😝
Sooking about a sharp spine is hilarious. It is a 30 second fix if it is important to you. Thankfully, for the last 15 years of bushcraft, I have only bothered to use a ferro rod twice, to make sure I still know how to ride a bike.
I cringe whenever a collector's price folding knife gets sold out. That's a ridiculous use of money, I came here hoping on some background of fobos as I'm looking at their new cacula on dlt
3rd video I've watched about the Alaris that doesn't even mention the weighty 3V protrusion at the pommel. The one that sticks you in the ribs when you fall. ... How can you review a knife and ignore mentioning that?

Hi Chris....another Ohioan here......I've followed you for your 10 years.......you do great vids and I enjoy them.....keep it up.....
It does look cool. With the blade shape it's like having a hand guard, but no hand guard getting in the way.
Ohh yeah, just ordered one with the ivory scales and red liners, used your link brother!

Love that knife. Glad I bought most of my knives a few years ago when they were 150 cheeper for 3v.
Looks like a harpoon/clever blade shape
I like it but I would like to see the blade just a bit longer
Love your videos!

Chris is the best knife reviewer on u tube
Chris, how come I can't find the SOSPES anywhere?
Do you know if they'll be making more of them, especially the saber grind?
I don't believe they are making them anymore.
@@preparedmind101 WTF, are you telling me the only chance is finding one used, maybe on e-bay?
It doesn’t have to have a sharp spin. It has a bow drill divot. 😂

Good thing they didn’t call it a FUBAR ALARIS……🤪😘 Very nice knife.

Trek Light Double
Ty sir
Very nice .not cheap .use in a slaughterhouse. Food prep.
The Benchmade 200 for $100 bucks or that for $300ish ….
That 3V is the 💩
It’s a double edged deba

I'm not so fond of removable handles..., I mean, I'm not buying an AR-15!
IDK, $300 for a knife that doesn't have a sharp 90 degree spine and wasn't sharp out of the box, 🤔🤔
Better more realistic options ! Drug store cowboy belt knife 🎃
Stupid high price !
You must not do much 3V knife shopping.
