I like how part of the infield paint matches the car colors of this ReRe...lol
I'd love to have a Ultima or Turbo Scorpion...

looks quick, will be interesting to see it run on a warm dry day with the bigger pinion.

Hi, can it run with a Tamiya Super Stock RZ 23T 540 Brushed Motor, is it too quick for this car, does it match with the gearing on this, I want it to be really quick around straight line track?

Haha I recognise that track, WLRC, awesome track. I used to race there in 2006-7. Is there a series for these Kyoshos at WLRC?

@RC Empire, I've enjoyed watching your videos on the Fantom, I finally got my own this month and have found there is in/out play on the front offside wheel, where the axle passes through the hub and bearings. Is this normal is yours the same do you know please?

      Hi there!
      Nice! You'll love it 😁
Hmm, that's odd. No it seems okay on ours, maybe a 10th of a mm, but that's fine. Is everything seated correctly?

@@RCEmpire_HQ Thanks for the reply! Yes everything is seated correctly and I pulled it apart a third time yesterday to check if assembled everything correctly, parts are handed correct and shims in the right place but probably 2mm play which allows the outer shim to move out of place. Sems to me like the axle isn't threaded quite enough where the hex fixes, can't find any other reports of this issue though. I've also reached out to Kyosho support but am not hopeful for a reply

Cut the rear of the body you left uncut (with the FRONTIER sticker) to achieve some downforce :)

    Good intro.
    Average content.
As whole Phantom series, looking like hovercraft but on wheels and with weird chain inside instead of driveshaft or even belt like Tamiya does...
Huge disappointment (judging by Fazer VE-X) becaise of lack of spare parts.
Can't tell if Phantom has more or less spare parts because it's a niche.

last time i checked all the spares to build one from scratch where available, the funny thing is how few parts it is actually made of. the chain has surprised me in practice and has the advantage over the belt drive in that it can be loose and still drive which turns out to be critical for passing over the battery
its an odd design and i love it :D

Yeah spot on Blitz. Amazing design but absolutely works with a simple and small package. I've found that, pre covid anyway, parts for the legendary series models were pretty easy to come by, including some of the upgrades and mods.
Where are you based Steel blue? If you keep an eye out on the RC Empire website, we'll 100% have spares on there for all the models 😎
