Nice job by Karl. Hikaru's ability and knowledge is not even really possible to comprehend for us mere mortals.
His chess knowledge and skill is unfathomable.
Karl had to ignore the h6 pawn.. he missed bxa2 which wins easily.
😊
The guy in the suit's reaction at 5:04 then the realization of what he's looking at is classic
Hikaru's bishop was so annoyingly powerful, like a prey playing with his food lol
🕵♂️🕵🕵♀️🆗️
U mean predator?
Hikaru just amazes me. People think 30-1:00 for a move and he instaslaps a piece off the board. Prolly already calculated 5 moves ahead lol maybe outta give him only 30 seconds?😂😂
Carlini's Uh Oh at 4:22 😂😂😂
Hikaru: "note to self. Dont play rauzer against this dude". Opponent: there goes 50 hrs of prep time and another loss smh
my rapid is only 1257 i play 30 and 10 min games.. i feel like im getting better csue i was 1160 for awhile and thought i peaked lol.. i see the board much more now and can prepare attacks better also tactical pawn pushes.. im happy and feel good cause i guessed the wining move.. paused the video and first thought after about 30 seconds was a takes b then i thought no and was looking for something better for like 5 mins then went back to a takes b hit play and shouted yesssssssssssssssssss
I vs Hikaru
Hikaru: Nice Move!
My innerself: Panic! Every move against Hikaru leads you into his trap ☠️
Best game on the channel in quite sometime
Great game guys!!
The only way to refute a sacrifice is to accept it!
Can those of us who can't subscribe to Patreon perhaps see the Alan interview on UA-cam in the future, please?
People's champion Hikaru! 😊
Seems like people forget that Nakamura is also an INTJ, a highly developed one.
It is definitely not the dispositive, end all be all, determiner of rating. And it should not ever dissuade other personality types from playing chess…
But there is correlation between mbti and chess rating. Not sure if it applies at the upper echelon. Also, studies that looked at this also noted that introverts and thinking types were more interested in chess to begin, which asks the question about whether the correlation was in part due to that interest and not necessarily looking precisely at mbti and chess skill/potential.
Anecdotally I (intj) and friend (intp) are two of the strongest at our local club. No idea what anyone else’s personality type is though and there are several others around our rating who may not be thinking intuitive introverts.
Huh? What part of him makes you even think he is an INTJ? INTJ's are Ni-Te-Fi-Se, what made you think he's Ni dominant? Aside if you're following and basing off these stereotypes on tiktok, UA-cam and random images which I highly don't recommend at all because it makes a person braindead. He's most certainly a Te dominant - either ESTJ, or ENTJ both also have low Fi, which indicates significantly low empathetic value. But I'm more inclined to believe him being ESTJ for the simple fact that a high Si user often reminisce about memories which Hikaru very frequently does on previous games
@@gabrielemersoncalderon3752 My Intuition.
@@malakh4585 understandable, have a nice day!
@@Domesticated_Ape chances are you would nt play the game if you were nt an intj … there is actually a very high correlation most chess players are INTJs.. Gerrykasp , Bobby Fischer and Carlsen are all INTJ .. I’m an INTJ and I once was 1400.. took me 6 years starting at the age of 30 , I m now 2200s trying to reach 2300 ..,
Lol im an INTJ too. If we’re talking about personality types..😂 one of if not the rarest.
Actually it's pretty common in the OPS system
Checkmate in 2 moves and he doesnt see it. That's tragic.
He didn't have enough time sadly to see it & he was nervous/intimidated by one of the best chess players in the world. It's much easier to see it if you are spectating
that wast mate in 8 not 2
Hikaru should play the greatest player in chess history - Mike.
@@skydust1269 Yes. It would be split second cough up the cake.
The title is a spoiler. If he's "up 5.5" but no more, that means he eventually lost
Wht happen next if after black ab, white Bg7?
Chess player anon is rated 1200! Let's see if that, PLUS his huge private parts will help him beat Hikaru!
WDYM by "huge private parts" 💀 😳 😂
Post game analysis of the "potential winning move" by black of 1....axb2 does not lead to either a mate or a win for black. The position ends in a draw. The analysis on the video is not quite correct in my view, If white misplays the response to ...axb2, then white loses. The correct response by white to ...axb2 is 2. Ra8!!!! This is extremely tricky and under time pressure, even a grandmaster would have difficulty spotting it. The play sequence then follows 2...b3 3..axb3 Ra7 (works to close down the open h file) 4. Rxa7 Qxa7 5.Kxb2 ...................and so on. I think that the interesting aspect of this part of the game is that blacks g and h pawns are in a very powerful attacking position and based on a quick view black should consider axb2 or move Pb4. One or the other is worthy of quick evaluation. That said, if black does figure out the ...axb2 move, then white must find the brilliant Ra8 to save the day. After ...axb2, the danger to white is the open h file., so white must address this immediately with Ra8. I would definitely and clearly point out that white is up a pawn in the position at the start of this exchange. After the exchange black wins three pawns and loses only one, so black ends up ahead by a pawn! Black clearly wins the exchange, but it is not enough to lead to a win overall. The end game is a pawns versus bishop on each side and it appears as if a draw in inevitable.
Is this recently played game?
16 move mate
An INTJ !! 😂 Most American title ever.
Stupid title for a video or a person.
Meyers Briggs is bigger in Asia right now.
@@Fergus316 nobody gives a fuck to personality types here in Asia. Especially MBTI.
@@Theingthing-TIT Here in Korea, where I live, MBTI is huge.
postgame analysis: asks a question about a move that hikaru missed
2 seconds later
.. "Yes!"
ok dude, because hikaru missed it but I saw it... obviously... of course i did
Statistically speaking, some personality types do have an advantage in chess. Chess has always been a game of people with high IQs and INTJ personality type has the highest average IQ.
Being good at chess has nothing to do with IQ. When will people understand this?
@@JP-jd5vz if being good at chess has nothing to do with iq, then why do all the grandmasters have tremendously high iq?
Calculating different lines in real time definitely requires high brain processing power.
@@rahulvig5298 lol Hikaru's IQ is famously average at 100. Might want to actually learn your facts before getting caught in a lie.
@@rahulvig5298 Also...Hikaru HIMSELF even says being good at chess is not about IQ or intellect. Being good at chess is simply...wait for it...being good at chess (and good pattern recognition). Please stop spreading misinformation, thanks.
@@JP-jd5vz Exceptions don't rule out general facts. Learn that.
Also, INTJ personality type is notoriously famous for much better pattern recognition on an average. Go to google and search the top chess players of all time and see their IQ levels. Many of them also happen to be INTJ personality types.
If you are having difficulty going to Google and accepting facts, then that sounds like a problem you will have to figure out for yourself. Thanks and cheers.
Okay so Hikaru is just what you call a complete Gigachad Savant! ahaah ridiculous
The Myers-Briggs personality test has been discredited, the 4 letters aren’t an indicator of anything.
You’re right, but I’m an INTJ too and it describes me perfectly😂
Scientists are so boring, only CBT was a credible therapy for years.
80%+ of Fortune 500 companies use Myers Briggs. But sure listen to biased, subjective studies.
Science, the religion.
I disagree, Myers-Briggs has over a century of testing and refinement behind. Those who discredit it are just selling something else (e.g., Big Five personality tests).
How has MB been discredited?
What's with that jacket?? 🤣
a cool one.
He looks like a Stickerman. Lol😂😂😂
damn... and karl was so close to winning... axb2 was the winning move and he missed it
Whats INTJ?
Personality type
Nakamura win
Isfp 😐⬅️
Play fast and loose lol
Nahhh jit started to include mbti types, welp type to bounce off the channel.
why does personality type matters in chess? This is some bullshit
because intj is the perfect personality for chess , exemple , fischer .
@@andrei-cezarbleaje5519 Why? I am pretty social when i want to and i am pretty nerd same time.
Don't buy into that MBTI crap.
The guy in the gray shirt should b banned from standing near the board if he is going to commentate.
