Paul I appreciate your time and talent you've shared however, I am having a time with the movements when putting them together. I am holding on but want to be much better.😊 Bernard Lundy Jr. (Virginia)
Single stick with steps and just the medicine I want. Had some time out as my hand is in recovery from pressure wound (household gaff, ouch-lesson-learnt). Can't wait that outdoor DOJO air!
One advantages of this stick is you can use it while jog in the country side against bad elements, wild animal and sneak. Much better if you put on nylon case as what we did here in the Philippines so easily carry on your back.arnis has became the national sport here in my country.gud luck master and keep the good training and teaching on this channel.
I love your training videos, they're always worthwhile watching and you have the gift to present them in a highly motivating way. Thank you very much for sharing this. 🤝
Great Video. Nice touch standing with your shadow in front of you at the 45 angle. Watching the shadow really helped me to see two different angles of the maneuvers. I used to train forward to behind the back horizontal bo staff throws watching my own shadows until it became more reflex for my initial staff designs.
Very simular to how I'd teach pump building at work, demonstrate a couple of times than talk them though a couple of builds than just watch and correct any mistakes
Another great video, thank you for that. Are you able to develop a series of drills that focus on adaptability? In my personal martial arts experience, many students get into trouble when they over-commit to a technique that isn't working in a particular situation. Combat by nature is messy and unpredictable. When something doesn't work out according to plan, it's important for the student make the necessary changes. Creating a series of drills that incorporate adaptability may assist with developing this mindset. For example, a drill may have 5 moves 1-2-3-4-5. A second drill may be 1-2-3-4-6. A third drill may be 1-2-3-7-8. A fourth drill may be 1-2-5-9-4. A fifth drill may be 1-5-6-2-7. Et cetera. These drills should be able to be practiced seamlessly like any other drill, either 'singularly' by choosing to work on just one, but ultimately 'randomly' by consciously choosing any of the drills after one has been completed. e.g. First, fifth, third, first, fourth, second, ninth, etc. What are your thoughts on this method?
Take this comment my good man, treasure it and keep it warm, don’t forget to water and talk to it from time to time. Some people play their comments classical music too so they stay strong and their roots go deeper.
I think using contact during solo training will just build a bad habit of doing a payong in such a way... and you know as well as I do that a power #1 will blow through that payong, breaking the arm and taking the face and body as the payong collapses
Your ability to explain the movements while performing is outstanding.
The quality of a great teacher 👍
