brilliant, love the way his groundbait tin doesnt get any less and fishing 12 inches over depth i dont think the worm will cock the float..maybe laying on..Shirt and ties as well.
in an era when tackle was crude and anglers made their own baits,,,,,these guys had not long returned from the war shortages still into the early 60,s they caught wild fish ,not today ,holes in the ground and more fish than water,,when people look back at pole fishing in the future they will laugh what skill is that they will say ,,like some of the miserable replies on this site ,some people really are sour,,,
Enjoyed the video. But the angler is wearing waders where slippers would do, and puts his rod on a rest to the right, strikes right-handed, then swaps the rod to his left and winds in with his right.... odd?
Talk about over feeding! Fm the guys filled it in!. Feed to your bites! Or pre-bait, move on same again in different swim. Then work ur way bk through the swims
peaceful and scenic with soothing music...loads better than the repetative junk angling videos of today.
I had this series back in the 80s on vhs video. Brought back so many memories watching this 👍
Those bubbles are caused by Brenda, the coeliac bream. She knows that white bread plays havoc with her insides, but just can't resist.
Brian needs to get himself a left hand wind reel by the looks of it
Simply lovely happy memories top job mate top job
The Stately Bream as Mr Crabtree described it .
Brian appears to have a " rev and pop" motorbike attached to his reel.
Lovely video
certainly bombing in the old groundbait is brian

Sounds more like an angry wasp!
Mult respect!
That is one ell of a stodgy mix he's got going on there 😂
Lovely river scene!
Only two groundbait, s in those days brown or white ,,now theres hundreds ,and would've been better fishing a double snowman on a heli rig 😅
tight lines old boy.....
Hey look! Howard has been caught.
Is he wearing a shirt and tie whilst fishing?
He forgot the pipe and slippers.
Blimey that's heavy groundbait. More suitable for the Mariana trench id say lol.
You can't whack a nice stodgy mix, looks like an old fashion method mix 😂😂😂
I think Brian was using the ground bait to stun the bream judging by the sounds it made upon entry.
Is the commentator Bernard Venables?
+Tony Faris I'm sure it is. He had such a distinctive lilting tone.
no its not
@@mattiemclean9882 Yes it is, Bernard Venables otherwise known as Mr Crabtree.

They just keep throwing in that groundbait, disturbing the swim. Lets throw in some more, and more. Letsss.... throw in some more
and it worked so your point is what,,
