I have been searching for the right corner clamps and your video just solved my problem. Thank you for the great instructions 🥰👏👏👏🥳 can’t wait for the table saw jig video 👏
Beautiful and simple. All I added was another hole in the short piece for hanging on a dowel. The other thing that might speed up assembly is to replace the bolt and wingnut with a dowel.
Thank you very much! I actually made these about four years ago. I was making quite a few picture frames at that time. Since then, the jig has been hanging in that spot. It was time to blow off the dust and show everyone just how great this jig is at making quick work of assembling a picture frame.
Hello Pas Paw. Love this jig. Based on this video I am going to attempt to duplicate as close as possible your example. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with the community Harleymike/chicago
Hey there paw,paw great video made mine a little different Sam's concept? But need some kind of adjustment in make some 4x12 frames and wonder where to adjust of smaller blocks to clamp? Any suggestions.
Another great idea! I've made a few frames recently and struggled with the glue up. Wasn't fun, that part. This would be a great easel project. The largest capacity must be around 24 x 24 inches?
Yes, it could be done on Easel. This is really faster the old fashioned way. Not sure the max capacity. I usually did frames around 16x24. You are probably correct.
Is there ever a reason to tighten the wing nuts that holds the arms together? Could the arms have T nuts that recieve bolts and perform the same function? Thx
@@PawPawsWorkShop Really? I would think linking up 4 corners while glued and making everything look clean would be hard to do. I'm going to make about 50 to 60 5x7 and 8x10 desk frames. I'm gonna make this jig for sure.
Sorry Paw Paw this is where that post was supposed to be. Do you have actual plans for this? Have measurements drawn out? Easier to follow something I can print out than starting and pausing the video. I'm new at woodworking. Thanks
Brilliant idea. Must get one built
Awesome. Go for it.
Excellent jig!
Thanks! 👍
OMG... I have to build this! Thanks!
Awesome! Have fun building this and of course using it to make frames.
That is one of the better frame jigs I have ever seen 😀🛫
Awesome, thank you very much.
Nice and easy clamp for frame work... good video. Thanks
Thank you very much.
great idea
Thank you! 😊
Genius. Thank you.
You're welcome!
That is one of the coolest tools I've ever seen! Thank you!
You're very welcome!
Looks like I might have to build a set! About the best picture frame clamps I’ve ever seen!
Awesome! Please do.

Glad I could help! The video is out. I have two on the table saw sled and the latest is the behind the scene for a specialized jig. A Must See!
I’m going to have to build me a couple of those. That’s some good work.
Fantastic!
Brilliant, best one I have found, thank you sir.

Awesome! I hope you get a lot of use out of it. You're welcome. I am glad to help the community.
Paw Paw’s WorkShop what is the max sized frame you can glue up with your jig dims given
I actually never have stretched it to the max. Most of my frames are around 16x20 and you can do that easily.
Paw Paw’s WorkShop ok. Thanks for the reply. Best off simply making two. The size you demonstrated and perhaps a larger one should the need arise.
Excellent idea
Very nice jig, will build one tomorrow! One question, is the jig made from hardwood or would plywood work just as well? Many thanks!
Plywood would work just fine
Great job. Do just use nut, washer, and wing nuts to hold it together??
Yes, I use washers. Thank you for watching
Wow came out perfect. Thank you so much. Do you have an instagram?
Awesome! No, I do not have Instagram

Love it when people modify the design to fit their situation. For the smaller frames try spacer blocks or make a smaller clamp with closer tolerances

You certainly do that. Thanks for watching
As a fletcher if you want to turn out a lot of frames and not worried too much about your corners this would be it.
The corners are protected better than the metal clamps normally used.

Oops. I see the nuts on that connection. How about the corner pieces? Can those have a way of registering in the holes without being taken apart? Thx
Thank you for visiting my channel. You could use pins to hold the corner pieces in place and still allow to pivot
What do you use to finish the wood to prevent the squeeze-out from sticking to the jig pieces?
I put down freezer paper or wax paper and it works just fine.
I like this design but, how thick is the material? Anyone know?
The thickness of the material is 3/4”
Ok I made one checked it over seems exactly the same but cannot get corners lined up hmmm
It sounds like you need to shift it around just a little to get it square
@@PawPawsWorkShop I tried a lot of things would send you a photo but not sure where to send ..thx for your reply
Whats the max size
that you can clamp there?
If I remember correctly the largest one that I have done was 18x24. You can make the arms as long as you need to do larger frames
☺️👍👍👍👌♥️
Thanks
Would you sell these?
Yes, I would sell them. I would have to look at the cost
@@PawPawsWorkShop let me know...
I can make them for $30 US plus shipping in US only.
Is there a limit to the size frame that will fit? I would like to buy one@@PawPawsWorkShop
