Great video. You meantioned about using a screwdriver on the hot glue. Next time try some rubbing alcohol on a Q-Tip. Soak the hotglue and let it sit for about 2 or 3 min and it will peel right off.
Nice one! I've used sticky wheel balancing weights inside the tires before. ( I asked for some at my local tire repair shop to begin with, but they aren't too expensive on the internet. But I've gone over to using plumber's solder wire. Cut 4 lengths of solder all the same,. remove the tire, put some double sided tape around the wheel "well" (the centre part of the rim where the tire doesn't touch) , not hot glue as it will cool off before you've finished, wrap the solder wire around the sticky wheel "well". I then wrapped electrical tape around the solder wire to keep it in place. Tires back on and you're good to go.
@@skybasherrc2372 Yep, if I recall, I've added around 300g to my non scale crawler that way alone. FTX Ravine, (Danchee Ridgerock in the US) Plus sticky weights on the axles, so over 400g of weights.
@@BrothrBob I really can’t remember but all I did was take a wheel and tire to Lowe’s and just picked out which one fit the best. Good luck with yours. It makes a big difference.
What is a good set up on the spur gear n the pinion gear for the ascender. I'm going to run a crawlmaster 550 12 turn or 15 turn...not really worried about real fast wheel speed but want to really get good torque n slow crawling...Thanks
Mine is still stock. Not sure what gearing it has. The 35T motor has done very good paired with the Hobbywing 1080. Sorry I can’t give you info. on gearing.
@@skybasherrc2372 10/4 ive done bought the 1080 and fixing to order that axle upgrade that you put on yours. I cant wait to run it for the first time..
Well i called that mall down in Winston Salem and didnt have any of the vaterra ascenders any more. Buy great news friend i found one on Mercari with several extra,s so i bought it... Whoop Whoop
I really liked that. Better then all the others.
It works and is super cheap 😁

Awesome idea! Sounds like it’d add a good amount of weight 👍

That’s a really good mod that I need for my bandit vxl to keep those front tires down when I do speed runs ! 👍
It might not be the best for speed. You’d have to be pretty precise with placement or the tires could be out of balance. Worth a try though.
Thanks for sharing, definitely worth a try. Subbed ya!!!
Thank you. It makes a big difference. I love good mods that don't cost anything 😁
@@skybasherrc2372 Exactly!!! 😉
Great video
Thanks Bro !
What size washers are you using? I'm looking for some for my RGT. Thanks.
Not sure. I just took one of my wheels to Lowe's Hardware and picked out which one fit better. Good luck.
👍👍👍👍👍
What size are the washers Sir?
