I really like hearing Adele speak, she's brilliant at helping to understand this concept of executive function. I especially love how she sees the importance of things like the arts and a childs happiness. As a student and as a mother I have found her videos brilliant.
I've found that understanding the concept of eustress or "good stress" helps me foster EF skills. How I practice this is by providing kiddos with a developmentally appropriate challenge, then providing them with just enough support (aka scaffolding it) so they feel a sense of accomplishment when completing it.
Thank you, Adele for all the good tips. I agree with you that parents should be encouraged to get involved with their children's Executive Functions training at early stages of infancy long before the formal school education starts.
