I understand you perfectly!! I lost my Mom 7 years ago. She was a sewing guru! Miss her everyday. She would have loved that I started a quilting UA-cam channel. Take care!!! 💜💜💜
That pattern is so much easier than the one I used. Wish i would have saw that one first. It was the most stressful quilt i've ever done. Thanks for sharing this one. Great job Karee ❤
Hi April! I like the idea of sewing one a border of the same fabric all around. Then using your remaining fat quarters for the back. You didn’t mention binding so don’t forget that! 😆 Thanks for the fun video!
I love the quilt top, I think I would add one more column of blocks (4 across) and then a nice border. I am sure that whatever you decide will be beautiful though! I look forward to seeing what you do!
Great New Video Always wanted to make a Wedding Ring Quilt! I think I couldd handle this. 😍 I think those blocks make it big enough. I would add a border and maybe make scalloped border to go with the wedding ring curves!!!
I always say I don't have flaws in my quilts, I have perfect imperfections, which gives them personality, and I'm ok with them. Your quilt is beautiful!! I absolutely love watching your videos. Thank you I would probably add 1 more row of blocks and use the fat quarters to make the binding.
I would add more blocks and then do a solid border. I think a scrappy back with the leftover fat quarters would truly finish the quilt off beautifully!!!☺
So glad you still have your mom to quilt with. I am sure what ever you decide will be amazing. Solid border than a piano scrappy broader using your left over fat quarters. Just a thought 😊.
That does look a lot easier than the way I made my first two Double Wedding Quilts. When I'm sewing crumbs and string blocks, Christmas fabrics are fair game. You will find a little Christmas fabric in all of my scrap quilts. Your pets look very healthy and happy. Your grandchildren also look healthy and happy. Which means that your sewing and crafts rooms are happy, healthy places to be. I think you need to add more blocks also. What you have so far is very pretty. Thank you.
I’m voting for a second time, add more blocks make it wider and maybe one row longer. It will be beautiful without a border. This is a stunning pattern, April, I may have to buy it and make it.
I would add more blocks and then put a solid border all the way around it and I'm like you I don't think you need to trim those I wouldn't have to me the bulk wouldn't be that heavy but without any mistakes you have if you don't like it I will be glad more than glad to take it off your hands. Wouldn't mind going to Ireland but really would rather go back to Germany. They have great chocolate there and beer. Lol
I like bigger quilts so I would add more blocks making it 4 across X 5 down, add a 2 1/2 - 3" white on white border (probably ❄snowflakes❄, I love ❄snowflakes❄), a scrappy border with leftovers of the bundle, whatever is left from scrappy border can be incorporated into the backing, and either red and white stripe or green and white stripe for binding. What ever you decide to do will look great!!
If it were mine, I would add another vertical row of blocks, apply a solid border (since the quilt is busy enough) then use what’s left of the fqs for a scrappy binding. Anything left after that, could be used in the back. Good luck!
I would go with adding extra blocks and then putting the solid border around it I'm like you I don't think you need to trim that bulk because it's not really that much but if you don't care for the little
A small solid border and then another border with your left over fabrics. Then a solid binding matching the small solid border. Any left over fabric on the back.
I vote for more blocks. I always look forward to your videos! I must have missed where you said what product that has the arcs on it. The interfacing or whatever it is. Please inform us.
Use the striped fabric for the bias binding. A tiny inner border of a fabric that appears solid. A 6" border out of yardage. But for the back, do an easy design using 9" squares (each fq yields four 9" squares). Something simple like a row of squares sewn together with the next row being offset (cut 1 block in half). That's quick easy and nothing to match up. Don't worry about "perfect points". Then you'll have a "reversible" quilt.
I'd like to see the light green for the first thinner border and the red and whit star like print for the outer border. That's just me. I love that pattern and the prints.I can see it done in other color too.
Depends how big u want it. I would go with a white low volume first skinny border, then maybe a green and maybe a red skinny borders, then a final scrappy border. I need to buy some of these things if u can find them. Have u seen some of the very modern wedding r quilts that Virginia Findlay wolfe made, super cool, not sure on her name spelling.
If I have an option to use all the fabric iw would do that option. If possible as you don’t want more block, wide borders and then scrappy backing. I live strips as the binding, maybe a scrappy strip binding! ❤❤
I think it would be real cute to have the border in the white fabric with pink, green & red (as shown in the top left block 1 or the second row 2 - block 2).
Please tell me where do you get the printed fusible? I didn’t see it in the description and if you mentioned it I might have missed it. I’ve done appliquéd circles this way too.
Add more blocks. It looks too narrow to wrap comfortably around you. It's absolutely beautiful!❤❤
You are so lucky to be quilting with your mom! My mom has passed, but I treasure our quilting time that we had.
I understand you perfectly!! I lost my Mom 7 years ago. She was a sewing guru! Miss her everyday. She would have loved that I started a quilting UA-cam channel. Take care!!! 💜💜💜
My Mom and I were never able to quilt together, but she did teach me how to sew, and I love her for that. ❤
@ so wonderful!! Let that connection be your happiness & inspiration! 💜💜💜
That pattern is so much easier than the one I used. Wish i would have saw that one first. It was the most stressful quilt i've ever done. Thanks for sharing this one. Great job Karee ❤
I’m so glad this version was helpful! You are welcome!
I would add another 4 blocks, then add borders . I love the idea of using the "leftover" far quarters for the backing fabric. ❤
Add 4 more blocks, a solid border followed by a scrabby border with stripped binding. Absolutely love your channel
I think you and your Mom did a brilliant job.
Piano key border with strips from the fat quarters, then back with the rest, maybe a solid small border first, love this quilt
Hi April! I like the idea of sewing one a border of the same fabric all around. Then using your remaining fat quarters for the back. You didn’t mention binding so don’t forget that! 😆
Thanks for the fun video!
I vote for options 1 and 2. Add another column and a chunky border! This is totally cheating for a wedding ring quilt! Love it!
That’s a lovely quilt. You and your mom make a great team❤. I would add 4 more blocks and then option 4
Option 1. More blocks. Looks beautiful. Have this on my to -do list.
I agree with Di, more blocks 🙃
I love the quilt top, I think I would add one more column of blocks (4 across) and then a nice border. I am sure that whatever you decide will be beautiful though! I look forward to seeing what you do!
Option 1. Add more blocks. Beautiful quilt

I would probably add 1 more row of blocks and use the fat quarters to make the binding.
You and your mom did a great job! Option #1 more blocks and a solid border! A very pretty quilt!
I agree with Di of Sister Chick's. More blocks😊!
Love your idea. A great gift for someone
1/2 blocks to the sides to compleat the rings on the sides. Then add a 6 inch boarders

Hi April! Solid-ish border and scrappy backing.
I vote for more blocks
I LOVE the idea of a wedding ring quilt with Christmas fabrics!
Very pretty, love the design. That would make a great wedding gift using the brides colors.
I would add solid borders of a solid. Using the other fabrics on the back! Love scrappy backs!
I’m voting for a second time, add more blocks make it wider and maybe one row longer. It will be beautiful without a border. This is a stunning pattern, April, I may have to buy it and make it.

I agree Di to make it bigger. Borders are optional but I’ve been keen on piano keys lately with leftovers.
I love quilt smart products. Their stars are so easy and seams so perfect
I agree with more blocks and scrappy border
Fun video!!
So pretty! And love that it's Christmas fabric!! I'd leave as is and add a small solid fabric border, then scrappy border 😊
Hi April,
Yep option 1.
I really like it! Good job mom and you ❤️
i would use solid borders fat quarter backing and scrappy binding that would be so cute and i think you have enough squares very cute
Awesome Video April...I love a wedding ring quilt
Solid border then the scraps around the next border 😊
Solid border, scrappy back and border
I recently found 12 vintage wedding ring blocks and will sprinkle them over some quilt as applique…
I think a solid border in a low volume fabric. Use the extra fat quarters for backing and binding
Beautiful quilt April. I would add more blocks then a plain border.
Quilt def needs widened…so many choices!
My vote is for a solid border scrappy back
Add border and make either pillow/throw cases
Option 4 it is beautiful
Hi April, you have beautiful hair...I would use the solids for a small border then the rest of the fabric sew together to make another border.
I think more blocks! I did this about 20 years ago with the narrow arcs! This looks sooooo much easier!
It is a BEAUTIFUL QUILT, BUT,
I Agree with sisterchicksquilting.
It does need to be wider and at least One row Longer.
Sew many possibilities, u need to see the couple of wedding ring quilts Dave’s craft room made, super cool, I assume u know him. I think he made 2.
Use the fabrics that are in your quilt for the border it will be beautiful!
More blocks, very pretty.
Add more blocks, narrow solid border around, use Fat quarters for backing.
If it were mine, I would add another vertical row of blocks, apply a solid border (since the quilt is busy enough) then use what’s left of the fqs for a scrappy binding. Anything left after that, could be used in the back. Good luck!
I love this and I love the fabric!😊 I am in the add more blocks! Can a quilt be too big?!
I would go with adding extra blocks and then putting the solid border around it I'm like you I don't think you need to trim that bulk because it's not really that much but if you don't care for the little
I would do the fat quarter strip border and fat quarter backing. Beautiful!!!!
I think a solid border Ana scrappy binding
Use a single fabric for the border; use leftover FQs for binding and backing.
Add 1 more row of blocks a wide solid border and complete the rings into the border i like using the rest of the fabric to make the backing.
Option one, more blocks. It will really be fabulous then. Plus it’s too skinny as is. Multiple borders are easier but, girl, you’re a quilter!
I would add more blocks, making it 4x5. Love a scrappy border.
Nice. Scrappy border. 😊😊😊
A small solid border and then another border with your left over fabrics. Then a solid binding matching the small solid border. Any left over fabric on the back.
Border of all the same fabric would be my vote.
Option 1.
I vote for more blocks. I always look forward to your videos! I must have missed where you said what product that has the arcs on it. The interfacing or whatever it is. Please inform us.
Solid border with a scrappy 2nd border.
Option one for me!
NICE
Option 1
Add more blocks and use the extra fat quarters for binding and backing

Very beautiful...do a scrappy border...
I vote more blocks
I'd like to see the light green for the first thinner border and the red and whit star like print for the outer border. That's just me. I love that pattern and the prints.I can see it done in other color too.
Option 1. Add more blocks.
Do a scalloped border
I agree with Di from Sister Chicks, more blocks!
Option2 &3
Half blocks all around the outside so you can complete the circles
love that idea
Hello! Please add more blocks. 🎉
Add more blocks, solid border, scrappy binding.
I would add two borders, first solid, then add piano keyboard after that one .
love this idea
One more row of blocks solid border and solid backing.
Just 1 more block in each row, then a red or white tone on tone border with a striped binding
I like it! So fun! Where did you buy the arcs?
Option 4
How much snow did you get? I’d use a solid border, and scrappy backing.

Add more blocks. It would really bring out the wedding ring circle. There is only one ring now, but two would stand out with more blocks.
My mom sewed clothes . She was readjusting good
I think it would be real cute to have the border in the white fabric with pink, green & red (as shown in the top left block 1 or the second row 2 - block 2).
Borders all around then as you said use the leftover fabric on the back. Don't forget to share your finished product
I’d add more blocks (4x5), no border, use the leftovers for binding and back.
April, please where did you get the panels! Is it a kit!
Scrappy boarder! 5"?
Please tell me where do you get the printed fusible? I didn’t see it in the description and if you mentioned it I might have missed it. I’ve done appliquéd circles this way too.
Did I miss the pattern? Who is the manufacturer. How or where can I purchase this from?
Add more blocks and a solid border
