I love doing things like this. I can’t wait for part 2 to see what you make with it. Y’all need to stop advertising the retreat so that there’s still a space left when I win the lottery! 😉😂
Good morning! I love this version of crumb piecing! I’ll definitely keep watching ! Enjoy your chocolate! Merry Christmas 🎄 rush season. Enjoy your family time!
Thank you for this. I have a plethora of uneven small scraps. This has inspired me to just make fabric with it and see what I come up with. I plan to keep a patch of muslin ready to stitch on throughout 2025.
Your block turned out very nice. Are you going to make a place mat out of it? If you had it on batting the quilting would already be done. I do this type of scrap piecing on cheap copy paper with my sewing machine (so the raw edges are not showing, my stitches are hidden, I can trim off excess fabric (reducing weight and bulk) and I can pull the paper off the back after I square it up. I can add fancy stitches by hand or sewing machine (if I want them). I usually work on two to three of these blocks at the same time. I call it my mindless sewing; because, it relaxes me and time flies by quickly as I sew. I always load up five or more bobbins before I get started. When the last bobbin is empty, it's time to clean the machine, change the needle and give the machine a little oil. It's fun. No two blocks ever look the same.
I ❤ your channel and the work you do. You always make me laugh while I learn something new. So thank you. Hope to see you at this springs retreat. And enjoy your trip to Ireland!
This will be fun to see what ya make out of this masterpiece. I have muslin sitting in a cubby…why I bought it is beyond me so this tutorial just may give my muslin a purpose. 😂😝 Wahoo
Really interesting. Thought the adhesive might gum your machine. But it looks like you had no problems. Again, I was horrified by the fabric choices, but again, I was wrong. It turned out beautifully. Can’t wait to see what you make with it.
I just want to chime in to say...I have that iron ..and I have a few others..I love this iron more than any other I've used...I don't use the steam function tho...I have well water so I'm concerned it may gunk up the inside..so that being said..I use a mister bottle as needed..but I just love this iron...so much so that I got a second one..still in the box...waiting on the day this one decides its done..lol..
Interesting, I am not clear on the name of the product you used to make the fabric sticky. I think I prefer the other method of reusing scraps, where you sew scraps right sides together on a fabric base.
I always look for your videos along with your 2 amigas. I enjoy your videos and your humor! Keep ‘em coming!
Thanks so much!
Such a great way to use scraps! TFS!!! Happy New Year!

That looked really great thank you for sharing that idea❤
You are so welcome
I love her channel too
I've done this and then put black applique designs on it and made pillows and wall hangings.
Love that!
Bernadette Banner is a marvelous source of hand sewing techniques.Have you read her sewing book? Barnes and Nobles bookstores carries it. 🍄🍄
I see a little picture on top with what looks like a iron with an arrow so pretty sure that means iron on that side
Looks like a placemat to me!
Thank you for sharing.
My pleasure!
What adhesive product did you use for this? Love the idea of this! Thanks!
I got mine at Joanns - it is double sided adhesive for applique. I can't remember the brand - could be therm-o-web.
Really interesting. Thought the adhesive might gum your machine. But it looks like you had no problems. Again, I was horrified by the fabric choices, but again, I was wrong. It turned out beautifully. Can’t wait to see what you make with it.
I'm glad you were pleasantly surprised!
Im from Brazil .I like

I think you're going to make a tote bag

It is called double sided adhesive - it is used for applique, too.
