- It’s official - Tweetsie Railroad is open again for the 2024 season, and we’re excited to get back into our favorite small park! They’ve got a new train show for this year, a few new cowboys to perform for us, and a new ride coming to the park - but it’s still the same Tweetsie Railroad we all know and love! We can’t wait to see what else this season might have in store. From Thomas the Tank Engine to Ghost Train to Heritage Weekend to Tweetsie Christmas, we can’t wait to share all the Tweetsie content with you guys!

It will be worth it if y’all can. Each train ride is a little different. Also some of the special events they have makes it worth going too. July 4th fireworks that echos through the Blue Ridge Mountains, double header on one day of heritage weekend and a photo shoot on another day. Thanks for watching!

I just bought tickets for this weekend, is it first come first serve? I didn't see where you had to select dates like some parks do.
On regular day operations the train departs about around 10:30 for the first train ride, and then run throughout the day until the last train show around 5pm. You can ride the train as many times you want throughout the day. I normally get in line just before the train arrives back to the station for the car I want to sit at. That way I can try to sit on the left side of the car when I board. You will have the best view of the show that way without moving or standing up. Car 3 from the train gives the best view of the show.
The only time the ticket is date and time specific is for the special events like Thomas, Ghost Train, and Christmas Train. I hope that we were able to answer your question. Thank you for watching!
