My grandmother insisted on taking me to March of the Penguins when it came out (my mom said “I think that’s a documentary, maybe she’s too young” but my grandma said “it’s a Disney movie, she’ll love it.”) Lo and behold, it *was* a documentary, a bunch of penguins died, and toddler-me left the theater in tears.

i need everyone in this comment section to know that when i was in elementary school, my school put on a musical/play that combined a bunch of early 2000's movies into one titled "a pirate's dream" where the students from high school musical went on a vacation on the pirates of the carribean ship but crashed into madagascar where they ran into the surf's up penguins and alvin and the chipmunks, had to rescue garfield (which plot-wise was sharpay's pet) from a bunch of disney villains, and at the end, took their ship to a car wash... the fish tales car wash.

this is one of my five dvds i have my CRT tv in my living room and ive watched it like 4 or 5 times in the past month
I swear this movie is a masterpiece in my eyes, I had it on repeat as a child, I can memorize the movie line for line, Will smith was a fool he had me dying the entire movie, and of course the soundtrack was extremely fire. Loved the movie back then and I love it even more now.

For a long time I actually thought I made up The Wild in a dream, because it's strangely similar to Madascar but bad. Also I remember seeing it in a different language in a laser game hall / cinema when I was nine.
Edit: it wasn't a different language I looked it up and the Dutch version apparently has Belgian voice actors in it and I couldn't understand the Flemish dialect as a child (I still can't)
