Best instructions of any bear carving I’ve seen. Great job and thank you.
The length of the log in the diameter are crucial factors to help keeping the quadrants size appropriate into scale
I see you like using fancy words
@@EricCaronChainsaw crucial fancy words
My dad past away 2 years ago and he carved for 23 years before he passed and that is how I got my name. "Carver" I want to start carving in memory of him but I don't remember how he did so ur videos help spark that memory and I hope one day I can bring back the chipper dan style.
Just tried my first carving with a standard chainsaw according to your tutorial... very pleased... thx
As a newbie carver, BLOCKING is my biggest goal! Thank you for sharing! Blessings
Just finished detailing my first bear thanks to you, my sister in law’s going to love it! Thank you for sharing your craft. Merry Christmas
Excellent. I have to admit, I’m envious. I keep trying, but can’t seem to get acceptable results. It’s videos like this that make me keep trying. Thank you
Good vid. I've watched a few others and yours seems the most straight forward. I like that you paint the cuts. Makes it much clearer on what you're trying to accomplish. Kudos!
Thank you for the tutorial, I made my first bear today thanks to you. It's not perfect, but it's a start of a jurney. Cheers from Poland!
Thanks!! Made my mom a bear and it came out awesome, she loves it!!
Best tutorials I've seen yet on saw carving! Much appreciated!
I would have to agree also, your great Eric Capn Kirk located in Colorado
Love your style of carving!! Thank you..
Thank you for sharing im jus starting off and excited about my journey in carving !
Eric that was Awesome!!! Love the step by step and I just did my second bear in a log this afternoon. I will be looking for more step by steps on your channel. Thanks very much!!!🐻🐻😆😆🪚🪚
Thanks for sharing brotha. You're a beast using a full sized bar 🤣 I finally broke down and bought a dime tip for my Ms 170 and I couldn't be happier with it.
Wow.....I just finished my first carving , a Northern Pike ( locally called a Jack or " Slew Shark".
You're the first video I've watched. Dumb me did this after. But it showed me I'm on track and some REALLY good techniques will be used . Little Bear is next and you've got a NEW SUBSCRIBER.
I would love to have one for my Elementary School!
It looks so great!
Absalutely brilliant really appreciate the time you take to do these tutorials.thats my laptop coming out to the shed now
Wonderful video. The angle of some of these shots took a lot of the mystery out of the ear- forehead- snout roughing out sequence for me. Thank you
Thank you so much for sharing such an easy mathad. Loved it.
Dude! Over 100k views, and you weren’t going to upload because of your fly being down hahaha. Crazy how stuff works out.
Me and my bro were just dying about his zipper being down and I said hold up...to the comments! Well made vid haha!
Hahaha it’s not just down it’s wiiiidr open hahahahaha but great video!! I didn’t even notice till I read the comment
He did a good job teaching awesome keep it up.
I love it I have a 60 foot pine that fell over I might be able to make one gonna try it!
Never carved pine but I hear it's great with holding detail!
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this. Inspired
Thanks Eric, a lot to learn here. Thanks for sharing your skills and talent.
If there is one thing I have the most of in this world it is OAK WOOD on our 7K acre ranch in Texas. I'm just getting into this with chain saws.
I have this one dead tree below my house that is 15ft tall & 9ft in diameter. I see a giant wooden BIGFOOT in my future!
Merci ! Enfin on voit très bien et tu décris bien les étapes !
Because of this video alone i will subscribe. Thank you. I have many questions like picking out logs to carve type of wood and width. Also a slower tortorial would be great but i might be able to play slow speed and follow that way would be honered to make one for my dad before he passes it would make him proud seeing as he was a farm boy most of his life and he wishes i learned some skills he has. I told him i have learned my own set of skills.
Thank you Eric. You're amazing! Best wishes from Russia!
the best tutorial in UA-cam. Tks!
Great job! Good step by step instructions! I have been using a chainsaw since I was 13 but I have just started carving - doing tiki heads. After a few more tikis, two pelicans are my next project plans. I don’t know if I will attempt a bear, but they seem to be super popular in chainsaw art! You can see my beginner’s work on my Constance Bay Palms channel.
Best video I have ever seen on chainsawing a bear head bar none. Capn Kirk
Awesome Job.. thank you!! this is going to be my go to video as im getting started :D YOU ROCK!!
Appreciate the tutorial.
Subscribed, thank you, it’d be awesome if you could have a couple angles going at the same time like you did for a minute but do that the whole time cut for cut even if it’s long we’d all appreciate it much I’m sure, awesome 👏🏻 job bro looks amazing
Just love the music blaring over his voice
Ha!! Was wondering if I should make a comment about that horrible 'music' selection. I had to turn volume totally off to watch.
Meilleurs explications, merci Éric!
So aousoum , love your videos , really great job , outstanding bud .Jay.
Thank you for sharing this. I’m gonna watch a couple more times and then give this a go with the tree I’m falling in my front yard. You make it look so easy tho. 😬
Half the battle is starting the saw and doing it and you're halfway there by cutting down the tree ;)
Thank you so much for this. I need to tighten up my time with carving.
Great job. Tell us How or who buys these amazing carvings?
Thankyou, for this vid. It was cool and fun.❤
Awesome! Thanks for the lesson
I would love to see a carving of a Lion Pride, or a Lioness and Cub. Please and Thank you, great art
Well great. Its 4am, I found this, and now I know what I am doing in my next video 😂. Its going to be like a bob ross paint along, except with wood and chain saws 🤣
Thanks for the great instruction! The step by step cuts make these really easy to follow. Ever do one on a simple mushroom?
chaos for the grinder and not the saw is crazy
What if you want to make something that is not a bear?
Then you make something that's not a bear. pretty straightforward stuff
@@EricCaronChainsaw I came here from Gus Johnson.
Lmao funny
You make a table by making a chair with no back. Do the conversion to carving and apply 😂
Thank you so much, The exact tutorial I was looking for. Subscribed and liked
I had this crazy idea to do a similar one but bigger so i could hang a quitar between the paws. That would be the coolest quitarstand in livingroom.
Looking forward to more bear videos.
Really liked your video.
Hes a handsome bear.
Eric, your videos are brilliant i hope u do lots more,,,thanks for sharing
My $40 bear I’ll sell for $50 probably get $60 or $70, if this video was couple minutes longer he’d get $100. Good video, thanks
I actually bought that bear for $957,385.59 plus tax lol
Wow I have a hammer tools only time for a chainsaw 🔥🔥😁
How come when I see these things for sale they cost $500.00?! And you say 60.00?
I'm kind of a "fly" by the seat of my pants type of gal...you know...moment to moment...so hoping I can do this!! Will look for the slower version...I'm also blonde...lol Thanks Eric...you make it look so easy with your "blue" touches.... :))
Sweet bear! Another fly video! Can you show more on texture and fur in your next one? Thanks
Great job, Eric! Thanks for sharing! What kind of wood is better for carve? Thank you
Thank you for this video.. It's excellent and very easy to understand how to carve a bear... Perfect for me...blessing
These are awesome Any! Any chance you could do grateful dead bear tutorial..
That would be cool. I'm an old guy and have SOOOooo many friends that would want those!!
What kinds of wood do you normally use? I've watched almost all your videos! You're the reason I started carving xD
Hey Eric,
This video was super insightful and helped me carve my first bear. Thanks for the tips. Keep up the good work
Very helpful video 👍
Looks great man! What kind of wood are you using? Does it matter?
Great video. Thanks.
Excellent skills. Is it just a standard steel bar on the chainsaw?
I thought it was really good thank you
Nice job man glad you decided to release the video very inspirational I want to get carving now but I got to go to work first then I'll be to tired to carve ain't life a bitch
Whats the best wood for carving??want to carve some mushrooms for my daughter..please help.thank you
Love when you carve slow so I can absorb what you are doing. Awesome. Keep up the carving videos. 😀 I was wondering where did you get that vice table from? I have been looking everywhere for something like that.
It's called a jaw horse … I picked mine up at lowes ...
Thank you so much. I’m going to get one tomorrow. Keep up the videos. They have helped me with my work.
Good video
U never disappoint man!
Barn door carving fo sho!!
Amazing🙂
SUPER PANIE KOLEGO - POZDRAWIAM.
What can you use for wood besides cedar?
Awesome tutorial 👍👍
What size chainsaw and bar are you using? And what is your preferred species of wood for chainsaw carving?
what kind of sealant do you use on the bear?
fly is open!
It's cool you share, thumbs up to you.
Dude your fucking bad ass. I love your videos. Your pretty much have taught me to carve. THANKS MAN!!!!
Is 40 bucks the sale price or the cost? Looks awesome btw
Great video man! Thanks for posting. Totally worth the soft-core peep show haha. You ok with more requests? I’d love to see a little 12 inch office desk bear done. I saw a few carvers at Knotts BerryFarm doing them and I haven’t been able to figure out doing something so small.
Merci pour le tutto ;) Thank you Eric
Where can I find big blocks of wood?
Great job
What model Stihl chain saw is that one. Can a smaller chainsaw be used?
Do u get many kick backs carving
Nice job
Did you ever post another version of carving a bear?
Why are your cuts so smooth? Is it the type of wood that youre using? I used hickory ( it wasnt super dry) and my chainsaw would kick like a bitch when I would try and do small details like hair for example.
Sharp chain with low rakers, round edge chain would be a good start and if she's kicking you might be using the wrong part of the tip!!!
And cedar is a very soft wood compared to hickory
@@EricCaronChainsaw thanks broseph!
Youre awesome!
What type of blade and wood are you using man?
Cedar and round edge full house for chains
what is with the zipper????
Thanks for sharing. Nice vid. Just don't forget to zip your pants good man.
Have you tried a Turkey?
Someone tell him his barn door is open... More than one.
👍
