Glad you liked it, it's certainly a unique take on a "home studio"!

Genius. I thought my home set up was a studio!

By using the Ferrofish 16 MX AD/DAs, are you able to implement analogue outboard gear -compressors and EQ- into your signal chain to edit the parameters on the fly via DAW instead of permanently burning the original track?

Stumbled on this looking for quality recording gear. RME have a great rep. Love the sound of the 12 mic, 12 inputs at the front is really useful and so is remote use. Can it be used as a standalone?
Great studio idea. Love recording a band together live and totally get the point about getting the "vibe: but one bad mistake or bad sound killing the recording. Interesting stuff

It's a really great space which has had some serious thought put into it.
When you say standalone, do you mean independently of a computer?

@@SynthaxAudioUK Hi-thanks for getting back. No not independently of the computer. We like the idea of using madi. If we needed to control the 12MIc from say 15M how does it interface with the computer?

Hi, Ferrofish AD/DAs are a more cost-effective option than RME converters (about half the price of an RME equivalent). Both are excellent at what they do, so it depends what your budget is and what you're planning to record.
