- The 2024 NBA offseason is here after the Dallas Mavericks were defeated in the 2024 NBA Finals by the Boston Celtics in 5 games. How can the Mavericks get back to the NBA Finals? Mavericks rumors in the NBA offseason start with LeBron James and Bronny James, with NBA insider Marc Stein reporting that Mavs GM Nico Harrison would have interest in drafting Bronny if he was available. The Mavericks have the 58th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, which is the final pick. If the Mavs do get Bronny, that opens the door to sign LeBron James in 2024 NBA Free Agency or make a LeBron trade, giving Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving a third scorer to play with. 1. If LeBron is chasing titles, then he should come to Dallas, period. If true, he needs us more than we need him. Can't think of too much trade material that we have to offer the Lakers, however.

What happens when LBJ wants his son to play? His son will be a detriment to this team and isn't good enough to help us win. If his last name wasn't James, I doubt he would even make it to the NBA.

Nico prove last draft he is NBA draft magician... I must be honest I think Mavs will somehow get some pick at least end of 1st round I am sure Nico ha some target there. Mavs can go million directions now... They can sign and trade Djones, trade Tim, Kleber one of options could also be Kyre.... you neve know maybe LAL want him even more now and I am sure LAL are not only one...

If LeBron comes to Dallas I will 100% stop being a Mavs fan. Luka is my favorite player, but we don’t need two guys distracted by the refs and not always giving their all on defense. Horrible idea to sign anyone with James in their name.
I see your point, but i disagree. In this scenario you’d basically be swapping DJJ for LeBron. He might not be the defender he once was, but he’s a 25ppg guy that shot 40% from 3. Teams were just leaving DJJ open. It’s a no brainer

Bron and Luka are all time great players makers… hell bron is even a pass first player. You’re essentially saying that the team will have too much talent to work.

On nba 2k my player career this happened. I went with the Mavs and in the second season he picked up Klay. Unfortunately Ky went to the Rockets.
We'll talk about Klay, but the short answer is he would be a good fit, but not an option because he's going to make too much money.

LeBron is a great scorer who can create his own shot, an incredible competitor, etc. But he's a poor defender.
So, basically, he would be a third clone of what you already have in Luka-Kyrie.
You will all laugh, but DJJ (or a FA version with a better jump shot) helps us more than LeBron will.
LeBron does everything Luka is doing but worse offensively and is a traffic cone. That nugget series he was doing what Luka was doing game 3 but instead all series hell no. I just stopped being a laker fan because of him now this hell NOOOO
Dodo is who we should go after then get a more consistent shooter to come off the bench
Sorry Dodo is washed, we need guys that can create shots. Not just 3 and D. He needs to be able to drive the ball, mid range etc. IMO we need a scoring power forward, a consistent 6th man and a 3 point sharp shooter
