I just want to let you know some facts that you may have misunderstood. The circumambulations are performed by one’s devotion and desire, there is no rule as to how many one has to do. But it’s always an odd number. People will do 1 or 1001 or 108 which is a sacred number. The builder of this beautiful Mandir belonged to the Solanki dynasty. The actual carvers are known as the Sompura clan, who are Bhramins and they specialize in this stone carving and are still doing this amazing work presently. The Mahabharata and the Ramayana are sacred 0:03 scriptures known as ithiyas- historical scriptures. They are Not mythology. The scriptures known as Puranas are mythological. The Bhagwat Gita is a historical scripture, as it is part of the Mahabharata. Just fyi.
1. Someone wishes to build a temple for some reason. The reason may be the memory of father, mother, something good happened into the life of a person, for the use/benefit of society or to thank the god. 2. That person gets accord of the king/ruler of the land. Then that person finds a suitable team of स्थपती - temple architects. experts select a site, suitable for . 3. The temple architect helps to select a site and designs a temple according to the person’s wish and his/her personal planet charts- कुंडली. Sometime king/queen/city /place planet charts are used. These are used to determine the basic unit of measurement as well as some other architectural calculations. The longitude and latitude are taken into considerations. Some facts of science are also taken into consideration and these facts are given tangible form in designing and construction of temple. A temple may have a theme such as time keeping, astrology, energy, sex, reproduction, epic etc. 4. Then the creator person and may be the ruler/king/queen and general public funds the project. 5. The temple architect constructs the temple with his team of artisans. The required materials are selected carefully. The idols of particular god/gods are selected as per creator’s planet chart and carved out of stone with very minute details and with very precise measurements. 6. After the completion of construction the pranpratishtha ceremony is done AND THE TEMPLE COME INTO EXISTENCE. Along with it for maintenance of temple, some land is donated to it. Maintenance include upkeep of temple, provision for lightening lamps, flowers for puja and decoration and some sort of salary to the temple staff working in various capacity such as pujari, instrument player, and others. This is very short answer to your question. Complete answer will take few books. Some are available and some are untraceable/lost.

I agree with you 100 %. This is our weakness. This is a purely indiscipline attitude. We show ourselves as a member of the oldest religion in the world but our actions don't match with that. Sorry for this mismatch.
as is understandable, you see things in a western perspective and equate cleanliness with patriotism which is interesting ! this surya temple is far more significant and even waste strewn around the gardens cannot take away the personal spiritual experience the sustained loot of the british left us impoverished and we had to claw our way out ! keeping our surroundings clean came pretty low down on the priority list hunger buggers up your priorities ! no excuses here

Just fyi.
PLEASE VISIT Halebidu, Belur and Somanathapur in Karnataka and comment
The “Gora” visitor should not touch any part of the temple. India is effectively restoring for mankind to experience and admire many years to come.
How they build that temple?
1. Someone wishes to build a temple for some reason. The reason may be the memory of father, mother, something good happened into the life of a person, for the use/benefit of society or to thank the god.
2. That person gets accord of the king/ruler of the land. Then that person finds a suitable team of स्थपती - temple architects. experts select a site, suitable for
.
6. After the completion of construction the pranpratishtha ceremony is done
AND THE TEMPLE COME INTO EXISTENCE.

Are you a citizen of Bharath?
Beautiful Modera Suryanarayan Mandir. Love it! Was there in 2020. Was heartbroken to see all the damage done to the murti carvings by the muslim invaders.
Gaznavi was not a Mogul... he was just another looter from the North and West of Greater India.

I agree with you 100 %. This is our weakness. This is a purely indiscipline attitude. We show ourselves as a member of the oldest religion in the world but our actions don't match with that. Sorry for this mismatch.

as is understandable, you see things in a western perspective and equate cleanliness with patriotism which is interesting !
this surya temple is far more significant and even waste strewn around the gardens cannot take away the personal spiritual experience
the sustained loot of the british left us impoverished and we had to claw our way out !
keeping our surroundings clean came pretty low down on the priority list
hunger buggers up your priorities !
no excuses here
To the point 👌👌
Going around the temple is always in odd numbers. It is up to the individual how many he / she want to make
