A Haunted Palace In India? What I Find Will… *UNEXPECTED*🇮🇳
I Explored the Badi Chhatar Manzil in Lucknow, and Its Forgotten Splendor Took Me by Surprise
Do I REGRET Living In India? - ua-cam.com/video/spW0CzOEouI/v-deo.html
Good morning, Good afternoon, and Good evening! Today, Manu and Myself travel to The Badi Chhatar Manzil, this site is nestled on the banks of the Gomti River in Lucknow, and is a hidden gem of architectural and historical significance. Built during the reign of Nawab Ghazi-ud-Din Haider in the early 19th century, this magnificent palace served as a royal residence and the hub of the Awadhi court.
The name “Chhatar Manzil,” meaning "Umbrella Palace," is derived from the distinctive umbrella-shaped domes that crown the structure. These domes, along with the blend of European and Indian architectural styles, make the palace an iconic example of the cultural fusion that defined the Nawabi era. From the grand façade to the intricate interiors, the Badi Chhatar Manzil exudes an air of elegance and regality.
The palace was more than just a royal abode-it was a hub of cultural and social activity. It witnessed lavish gatherings, literary discussions, and musical performances that showcased the Nawabs’ patronage of the arts. However, the palace also holds stories of resilience, as it played a significant role during the Revolt of 1857. It was used as a strategic base by revolutionaries, adding a layer of historical intrigue to its legacy.
Over time, the palace has seen its fair share of challenges, from natural decay to human neglect. Despite this, its charm endures, with remnants of its once-grand halls, ornate ceilings, and riverside views offering glimpses into a bygone era. Efforts to restore the Badi Chhatar Manzil are ongoing, aiming to preserve its historical and cultural significance for future generations.
Local lore adds a fascinating touch to the palace's allure. Stories of secret tunnels and underground chambers abound, hinting at the ingenuity and grandeur of its construction. While many of these tales remain unverified, they contribute to the mystique surrounding the Chhatar Manzil and its place in Lucknow’s rich history.
Today, the Badi Chhatar Manzil stands as a symbol of Lucknow’s heritage and a reminder of the city’s Nawabi past. Whether you’re an admirer of architecture, a history enthusiast, or simply someone seeking to connect with the soul of Lucknow, this palace offers an experience that’s both captivating and thought-provoking.

another banger from Fozzie-bhai! One word of caution - you keep going into this "haunted" places you might star in a segment of @nukestop5 ghost video series Looking forward to your next episode
"Pehle poha kha lo , phir chai pee lena" 😂😂😂...baat hi alag h apne indore ki.
Hahaha you walked straight into a dilapidated toilet 😂😂
Thanks Fozzie for showing us how muslims used our manpower to make all these structures. Hindus forgot everything. Now its time to get united . Otherwise the day is not that far when muslims will again invade India.
Heritage hotel means to private companies not for public
Its shame government is mot doing any restoration
You can write a movie after watching this haunted house(ghost)😂😂
Keep making videos like this...❤
When historical monuments don’t get their due attention, there is no chance that these ruined palaces would survive the neglect.
The cock graffiti is the symbolism of a Brit was there xD
Fozzie ... improve the editing quality..and stop using black transition between two scenes it's irritating, thumbnails are not good,.you are mostly visiting place where there is no light please buy a torch light.
You are now Desi - not Gora 😂 You are more Desi than more desis I know! BTW is it even safe to walk around that structure? What if something fell on your head? You are lucky it didn’t collapse on you! I am so relieved to hear you are done with Lucknow. Where are you going next?

If you're here for bhagwan the you should definitely go to Uttarakhand.
New subscriber ..hello from Ireland 🇮🇪
❤
Ok enough. Let’s go to Kerala, Hampi, Himachal, Meghalaya, Ladhak, Uttarakhand… South has better architecture. Tamil Nadu has fantastic temples, but the place is not as clean. But, definitely better than UP.
Yep
If you can’t see this with modern torch lights, how did they manage so build it with such precision with no lights???? How did the ancients manage to carve all the details in those dark areas???? How did they manage to paint the budha behind the pillar? Wow! Amazing!
I have a serious problem with these people ruining our beautiful ancient architecture by putting all those modern construction, metal gates, wood and what not! Can’t even see the structure in its full glory! Why are we ruining our ancient architecture? These people have no aesthetics whatsoever! The untouched ancient architecture looks stunning. I wish u could clear all the junk in front of that structure!
Are we still in Lucknow? That place is so chaotic! I am getting stressed out watching this video 😂 Even that heritage site has trash! Guys, do something to clean up your city, please 🙏🏻
How much improvement have you seen in the social attitudes towards littering over your time in the nation? What about infrastructure development? I feel both of these go hand in hand, as people arise out of poverty and compounded over the generations, social attitudes tend to be reformed.
There is a long way to go, BHARAT is full of hypocrites
This is how muslims will grow in Australia bro . When you come back here.😂😂😂😂😂
INDIA is a "FAILED" State ..... It's just sad to see westerners suffer like this all around this country !!!
Cleanniest city chandigarh bro😂😂😂 come to chandigarh
If you don't like the trash then go ahead and start the cleaning! We are tired of your complains! I think you should just go back to your "clean" country since you are always complaining about India.
We ❌ you ✅
Its about Indians. They eat biscuit, and throw the polythene wrap on road, railway side, on hill sides, in water bodies, spit on walls, in train basins, and what not. Stop complaining and start learning. Govt will not clean everything. People have to do their own work to keep their country clean.
Bro .. Keep in mind that you are visiting UP in midst of first anniversary of ram mandir inauguration and mahakumbh days ..UP is now packed with devotees literally in millions so try not to expect too much
Just talk with someone there and give them your youtube channel name and ask them to subscribe 🙏🙏your channel will grow.🙏🙏
Everyone seems to live in their own world
I feel you are tired this time .less interest in showing around 😂😂
Just imagine in what kind of harsh circumstances hindu slaves build these structures. Mughals invaded India ,with hindu slave girls more muslims were born and they were making these kind of structures every where in India. And those kids born at that time with slaves are proud muslims now. 😂😂
Fozzie why didn’t you try the bike yourself 😂
Dirtyness, uncleanliness, nonsense everything in hindus blood 😂😂
nice one bhai! If I ever want to dress up I know where to go in Lucknow.
You are right 👍
Unfortunately, the north is more chaotic, and polluted than Southern states. Just my observation, having lived up north for 5 years.
It is not 'unfortunate', The northern plains have fertile soil and an abundance of fresh water; this is why it was a preferred location for ancestors. Cities like Bangalore and Chennai are facing water scarcity, and many other places in India might face the same issue, but the northern plains will not face such problems soon. Easy crop cultivation and connectivity to the capital add to the value of the northern cities. We are lucky to be sons of the northern soil.
