That steel guitar is one of the most beautiful sounds ever created. It's a lonesome, somber, lonely sound....almost like an old steam locomotive pulling freight through the dark night. I wish they'd put the steel guitar back into country music.?
@@fido3561 I don't know how to upload things...I'm technologically challenged. If you want to hear something awesome (I thought it was) look up Sarah Jory. Look for the live video of her playing Amazing Grace on a regular electric guitar, using a finger slide on the fret board. OMG...she totally rips it.
@@allanwilkerson6426 I have seen Sarah's video. Just as you wrote ,she is fantastic. If I remember right at the age of 19 Sarah rated 5th among the steel guitar players. Glad to hear of someone else who steel guitar playing. Thanks for the reply. Take care, stay safe and stay well. Billy
Hey Dallas,my oldest son is your age and tony's music does the same to me.Best I have ever heard in my lifetime and I was raised in Wyoming when that's all they played.

If iyou get chance to come up to gartcosh please bring your ebow .i would love to hear and see that tune done live . still one of my all time favourite. Psg players . Thanks keep posting Tony
Hi tony just come in from a gig with my rockabilly band and just wanted a chill out so looked you up again on tube And what a fantastic version of a classic song. Without a doubt we have some great players In Scotland and I'm not a newbie just a lack of practice player. You sir along with Mr hey among a handful of superb players should be playing in Nashville. Out standing performance. All the best Tony
Well done! What is that thing you picked up in your right hand that made the notes sustain the whole time with out you picking the string? You held it on the strings but still used the tone bar on your left hand.
Just great with the oboe solo Tony hope your all well down the road 🤞 been some time since you have posted and been Some time since since we've all been clubbing lol pgn
Hi Sally thank you for this reply I'm so sorry to here this sad news🙏 😢he was so talented on the psg hopefully you will leave his videos up to be cherished and not forgotten
Hi Sally hope this is some consultation , your tony Browne was the first video recommended to me by tube , I use to come home from my long hours out on the road driving hgv fuel tankers and his playing and songs just destressed me the way he played , and he also inspired me to go out and purchase my first pedal steel guitar over seven years ago .it was bizarre as I bought it from a musician not far , outside Liverpool I couldn't believe it on the way home back to Scotland I had received many wishes of good luck from the members of the British pedal steel society , I had only joined out of curiosity to seek out any one in the UK possible selling a guitar .,which one did come up .the UK has many great pedal steel players , the society put me in touch with the good folks that ran the Scottish psg club in cartcosh..again many great players there including Bob Adams who repairs ,rebuilds the guitars as mines had levers taken off and had to be reset up ., but I still consider ,tony Browne to have been one of the finest and best players in great Britain ., And I still continue to watch his videos ..👍👏👏👏👏🏴🇬🇧

Without the Steel you have no true country music!

Blower it
o Tony u the man sound great well done bravo bravo 👍👍👍👍👍👌
What effects are you using?
Wabash Canon Ball..?
He said, "I'll love you till I die"
She told him, "You'll forget in time"
As the years went slowly by
She still preyed upon his mind
He kept her picture on his wall
Went half-crazy, now and then
He still loved her through it all
Hoping she'd come back again
Kept some letters by his bed
Dated 1962
He had underlined in red
Every single 'I love you'
I went to see him just today
Oh, but I didn't see no tears
All dressed up to go away
First time I'd seen him smile in years
He stopped loving her today
They placed a wreath upon his door
And soon they'll carry him away
He stopped loving her today
You know, she came to see him one last time
Oh, and we all wondered if she would
And it kept running through my mind
This time he's over her for good
He stopped loving her today
They placed a wreath upon his door
And soon they'll carry him away
He stopped loving her today
There is no sound better than a steel guitar other than your mammas voice
