Given the health of most heroes these days it seems a much needed buff so she can remain viable as with her low health it’s very easy to get accidentally one shot trying to fight close range.
See the reason why you were struggling so much is because you were trying to prove the long distance thing. It’s a cool bug and all but tracer is supposed to be up close and personal and blinking through people because it confuses them. When you’re shooting from a distance even without damage fall off you’re still just a sitting duck
exactly, one new hability is no good if, when you use it, you discard the two more important aspects of her kit: being fast and confuse your enemies in their backline.
Blizzard will be temporarily removing Tracer not because of how broken she would be, but because Muselk was so bad with her that they couldn't watch anymore.
Did anyone ever tell you the story of Darth Muselk the wise? It's not a story UA-cam would tell you. He could help finish other people off, but could not finish himself.

And he couldn't get anything done as Tracer, even in this state. I played a ton of Tracer. She's my most played hero. Whenever I'm deathmatching in between rounds, I play tracer. I love playing her. And I feel absolutely useless when I pick her in a normal round. Yes, I'm sure that at the very, very top tier of play she becomes a force to be reckoned with, but for anyone who is not a diehard professional godlike OW player, she is useless. I have been saying for years that she needed a buff. As new heroes were introduced, powercreep made Tracer weaker and weaker. Her ultimate cannot kill a single tank. At close-range, she is outgunned by Sombra. For anyone who is not a godlike gamer, she may as well not exist, because picking her meant an automatic loss. I hope this change was intentional; I look forward to playing her as a regular Joe Schmoe and maybe being actually useful for a change.
Game director Aaron Keller confirms that she’ll remain in the game as “her overall power level has been ok”, and that she’ll be buffed to compensate the power loss from her bug being fixed. They also found out the bug was introduced as far back as the Halloween event.

ngl I don't see a problem with Tracer having mid-range damage. Almost all DPS heroes can kill other 200 HP heroes with one clip at mid-range. Plus, unlike in the training range, most enemies won't just be standing still for you to shoot, so this isn't that big a deal.
I think the issue is 1) Even without falloff, you still have to deal with spread, and 2) Overwatch 2 just kinda sucks to play if you aren't the Tank 3) And you suck at Tracer

Tracer's health is so low that Widowmaker could miss her by a foot and she'd still die in one shot.

Tracer is a hard hero to play and master so it's understandable why ur struggling to get kills with her but I like playing her and main her

It wasn't even the aim that was holding him back. He was taking 1vx fights and not using his blinks + recall efficiently.
