Family Mountain Bike Adventures on a 2 day cycle with the family. on the Twin Coast Cycle Trail. No child was hurt in this production (apart from the odd fall).

That trail goes past my place about 5 kms west of Kawakawa, it is only about 140 metres away from my house, so it is my local ride. You are so correct about those squeezes. Some I can ride straight through others I cant. When ever I see someone on a bike with bags I sure feel sorry for them knowing what they are going to face

Thx for video, looks great. 3 questions! Do you have to take the trains or can you cycle those sections too please? Also I’m not sure whether to take an ebike or mountain bike, I’m not very ‘hill fit’ but carrying your ebike over 50 gates sounds a challenge! What are those hills like? Finally do you think it’s best to do the trail east to west as you did or vv? Thank you!

Hi Julie. An ebike would be more fun but you can do it easty enough on a regular bike taking your time,and you can fit the bikes through the gates from memory. Most do it the same way we rode it and there are more transport options available
I believe. Have fun.

Hey friend, for the hard of hearing, it is quite a juggle with the volume to A) hear you without B) getting one's ears blasted by the loud music! I really need to see it again but . . .

How much was the shuttle back to Opua? (And do you have a link to the shuttle company?)

Hi Ross. The shuttle was about $250 for 4 of us and it was from
twincoastcycletransport.co.nz
