Nice Vid Jas. Love that part of the country. Completed the trail 5 times now with 4 being single day adventures. I think the first half through the natives is probably the better riding. Looks like a lit of trail widening and gravel on the second section. Ill have to give it another go!
Thanks Richard.yes agreed the first half is great in the native, the second half was a lot quicker. Next time I will try to time it with better weather.
A couple of mates and I did on 2nd Jan this year, in a day. I think the pizza for lunch was a mistake as we were pretty tanked after that. Great ride though, next time I'll do it on an e bike over two days taking more time to stop and read all the signs re the history of the place. Thanks for the inspiration.
My please Richard. Sorry about the bum steer with the Pizza, we inhaled ours and were on our way. Yes I think I need to do it again with better weather.
A warning: someone's credit card number might be visible at the point where you stopped at the lodge. If you're feeling paranoid, you might want to edit that out and re-upload...
Thanks for sharing. Nice ride. Great crew.
Thanks @Rafaeloliveira.
It looks a lot more enjoyable in the dry! I rode it in March, a great trail and very enjoyable.
I bet it does! I might have to do it again and order sunshine.

Nice one Jase. Was a good day out!
Yes, even in the wet!
Man you have an amazing crew to ride with! 😎👍🏻
Always!
awesome makes me want to try to schedule some time one day to do that. The downhill looks like it up your average speed
Yes I think we were only on 11-12kph after the first 12km.

Looks fantastic Jason I don’t know if I would do it or not. I’m not to keen on those swing bridges.
Just close your eyes.
Nearly got it right but such a good video! Still have yet to do this ride! Well done Jase
Cheers Tommo.
Epic ride. Do you think it's possible to do this on a gravel bike?
Yes it is. Decent 45ish tyres would do the trick.
@@jaselikesbikes awesome thanks :)
Epic Ride! Was this your first time doing the Timber Trail?
It's looks pretty amazing👌
Not much to go until the Whaka100, best of luck 🤞
Hi Bruno. Yes first time, a good bit of Endurance for the Whaka, thanks.
Always a fun ride. You were unlucky to choose the one wet day this year.🙄
Ha ha yes Lance a drought this winter.
Pretty horrific wheelie attempt by Gav
Yes, he hasn’t quite got your wheelie game.
Not a bad pronunciation attempt of Pureōra bud, ka Pai hoki koe.
Thanks, I try but I usually fail!
