TIME TO LET GO - LYRICS:
Busy lives
So much to do
Heads down from dawn
After so little sleep
No time to look up
No time to breathe
So much distraction from what’s important to us
Time To Let Go, Time To Let Go...
Busy minds
Too much to think about
What is essential
And what is just noise
No time to be still
No time to hear
So little patience with those important to us
Time To Let Go, Time To Let Go...
Time to let go
We don’t need it all
Time to surrender
The weapons of our time
Time to let go
We don’t need it all
The world already has so much to offer us
Time To Let Go, Time To Let Go...
Time to let go
We don’t need it all
We already bring
so much inside of us
Time to let go
We don’t need it all
The world already has so much to offer us

Gorgeous!!!
Mike and Level 42 have been keeping me company since 1981 with their wonderful music, I have no words to thank them: they are truly a gift from God!
I have always liked his music, the way he does stuff is magic. I recall seeing “Changes” when it came out in 1990 on CD, it just seemed like he didn’t want to stop doing stuff. The style Mike has is varied but he puts a lot of thought into his work too. It was partly because of him I decided to buy a Yamaha XF7,not the best synthesiser but one that allows me to explore and enjoy the elements of music. The friendship he has with Phil Gould is evident by the work they did together and Mike also has done other stuff too, always a pleasure to listen to.
Incredible chords, harmonies 'n lyrics! This is Mike!! Once again!!
I love this song Mike and the story behind it. 🙏
Love the new track!
Magnifique !

Phenomenal melody. The sentiment resonates with many as well. Thank you, Mr. Lindup.

Amazing song as usual and with your unique and remarkable voice. 😀 Thanks a lot Mike for another pearl. I grew up with you guys since 1981. I was onky 8 years old when I heard Level 42 for the first time. Since then, you were, are and will always be my favourtie band, Level 42 and also your solo projects too. Thanks once again. 😀 Best wishes and all the best from Lisbon, Portugal. 😀

Fantastic!! Thanks for posting Mike. All the best from Spain.
This is an excellent example of pop/fusion. This one sounds like Level 42/Allan Holdsworth/Drum'n'Bass. Love it! Great to see your trajectory is still on the way up!
Changes is one my favourite albums ever. Can't wait to hear part two! Looks very promising!
I really like the synth sounds on this track, and the guitar is very good too. Looking forward the album now!
This is stunningly beautiful. The way Mike paints a feeling w sound...
Great stuff Mike , great beat and sound 👍🏼
Great music as always Mike. Thank you very much!!
Greetings master, I can feel the depth of your interpretation and it is wonderful, I just want to think that it is so, because this lake is slowly beginning to be empty. And since I was a child I dreamed so much today that I have my children I need strength to continue. More in a country like Mexico where dreams are ceasing to exist every day. They will always be in me, like Level 42, so many long nights looking for inspiration to continue in their songs. It seems to me a beautiful interpretation, a philosophical thesis about these times. One more song that I will show my little ones to put off for many more years. Thanks a huge hug.
Love this tune ... that rhythm ..wow ... that bass line is killer - (would love to hear Mark playing that) - and that guitar solo....(not that Alex doesn't nail it - he's great!....but)... ooo... I could hear Steve Farris (of Mr. Mister) playing that!...(both guitar & bass brought to the foreground more though during audio engineering). Thanks, Mike! You always deliver!
Thanks Mike!
I listen to the track on repeat
I have always been a fan
What talent you have!
Very impatient to hear the rest !!

Wowwww... Mike you are truly magic! Can't tell you enough how much I love your singing, your voice and the style... Absolutely sublime and beautiful! Those melodies, guitar licks as if Alan Holdsworth is doing the honours and those sound scapes... Dreamy
Thanks so much for sharing it with us your beautiful side through your music!
Best wishes & regards

@@MikeLindup42 Mike Lindup answered me! Man, you can't imagine my joy!!! Come and discover Brazil when everything returns to normal.
Great stuff, love the synths and guitar solo with a touch of West London Broken Beat
It's so inspiring - the track and you describing its creation Mike. Love everything about it.
Just beautiful mike. I've been telling people this for years. They still perpetuate in the same old ways, accumulating possessions for what?
Found this song from being a fan of Mike Patto music. I'm also a longtime Level 42 and your fans. Good to hear your new music :)
Mike Patto is great!
Mike is an amazing Musician and Artist.brought the new single and i look forward for Changes 2 !!! Who's the guitarist very Holdsworth- like.......!?
Alex hutchings
@@Alchemist37 Yeah of course, Alex: Great Job !!! Thank You !
Resterai nel mio cuore, mi dispiace che tu non sia più presente insieme ai tuoi compagni di viaggio i Level42
Capisco il tuo percorso personale, ma la storia non si può cancellare
Hi Mike, I love the vibe of this music, can't wait to hear it in full. The playful rhythmic complexity reminds me of the Beyond Jipangu album by Opolopo.
Mike. Thanks for this track. It reflects my own life and I dare say others out there like me where because of Covid, their jobs have changed to a point where they are almost unrecognisable. I listen to "Changes" quite often and that in itself is a tonic to keep me going when Im low but even on a high (West Coast Man etc). So glad you're producing more music once again. Yours and Level42's music has been my companion for so long now...
Oh my goodness .... nice tune! Mike, ... your voice is as beautiful as ever combined with your magic keys & chords! Who's on guitar?! Powerful licks ~
Alex Hutchings on guitar - check out his UA-cam channel
@@MikeLindup42 Thanks for the information. I almost thought it was something you'd put together with Alan Murphy and had worked on and released now. Was that the sound you were going for?
Mi piacerebbe ascoltare altri tuoi brani con I tuoi mitici acuti come nel brano take a look mhhhh fantastici e altri. Spero che tu mi possa accontentare mi fanno rabbrividire I tuoi acuti e I tuoi falsetti
Thank you
Traslate to Spanish:
"Vidas ocupadas
Hope you like it, Mike.
wonderful, what a pleasant surprise, and a timely sentiment! also, super curious what the new synth was?
It was a Novation A Station rack
@@MikeLindup42 oh nice! the supernova engine has definitely earned it's place as an inspirational tool. can't wait to hear more.

Louie Vega remix of this song is the BOMB!!
It is indeed!

No doubt beautiful song … just heard it today but really want to know if anyone does who played that awesome guitar solo 🎸???
Guitar solo by Alex Hutchings - check out his channel!
@@MikeLindup42 Thank you very much for the reply . Will definitely check out his channel .
anyone else thinking that this sounds like the spiritual successor to "jung"?
Does anyone know when the album is due for release??
End of the year for the finished album, but you'll hear more before then :)
Anyone know who is playing the guitar? Really mimcks the great Boon Gould. Rip.
That guitar solo, for a second I thought it was Boon....Then I remembered.
MORE LIKE Mr Murphy..
The song is great but it reminds a lot of the style of "The Individual Choice" by Jean Luc Ponty.
ele era lindo como ficou feio...jesus
You have no class. He is older now. Personal remarks like yours are in bad taste.
..the inclusion of Teflon Don ruined it for me and I’ve always been a big Mike Lindup fan since the early days of Level 42 but when recoding artists go political it’s tiresome
