We arrived at the quay in front of the Korfos restaurant and were warmly greeted. Janis Markellos, the restaurant's owner, assisted with the mooring, providing several planks up to four meters long, one of which he promptly placed on our boat. The food was simple but delicious. When one of our crew members experienced kidney pain, Janis kindly drove them to the hospital at 11 PM. A huge thank you to him! Korfos is a well-protected bay with moorings and ample anchorage options. The wind here is typically two to three Beaufort less than outside the bay, making it an excellent spot to dock.
Moored opposite the Papa George Tavern, you can count on electricity, water and wifi, plus showers and toilets (I haven't checked). Nice atmosphere, cold beer and good food await sailors.
