You are such a talented gardener. YOU have created such a lively, lovely, enchanting garden space. What a feast for the eyes, ears, and nose..ahhhhh..the sounds..singing birds etc.. I have always enjoyed your videos.
hi Laura❤ looking forward to the weekly garden content.Your channel has been such a blessing to me. ❤❤ the updates to your garden are beautiful!
Barbara this is so kind. I appreciate you being here and your support and encouragement very much! I hope you’re having a wonderful garden season. Thank you! 💜
Thank you for sharing your garden with us! I really love everything you’ve done! I appreciate seeing how much you can do with a “normal” sized yard. I keep thinking I need more land, but you remind me how to bloom where planted 🥰
Such a great example of just digging in and doing it! Sometimes I get intimidated when it comes to creating a new area. This is beautiful.
Why in the world have I not thought to put a pot in a raised bed? I will doing that today. I love the look!
Such nice and encouraging feedback! I appreciate it! Thanks for the compliment on the pot in the bed too. I plopped it there and never moved it because it looked so nice. 🥰 happy gardening to you!
100% worth the wait. No apology needed. The joy spreads to hear in your voice how much you are enjoying your garden/gardening. :)
That New Dawn is perfection. I like all the symmetry with the raised beds between the greenhouse and the shed. And the Parterre is such a nice addition. I just put in a Parterre this year too and am loving it! Glad that you are having so much fun, and you are right your garden does seem to be growing! ;-)
I have four New Dawn roses on arbors in front of my house along with two James Galways, two Generous Gardeners, and two Edens. The New Dawn really r stunning and r my favorite!
Oh my goodness, your Hydrangeas are so much further along than mine here in my Western Massachusetts garden, I’m a zone 6 . You’ve been as busy as a bee 🐝, your climbing roses are incredible, so many blooms , I love 💕 it all , great job Laura
Your gardens are looking beautiful. It's okay to change your mind. Creativity takes time. The process brings joy to watch. Thank you.
Wowzers, Laura what a beautiful space you are creating. Moving the raised beds was a stroke of genius as well adding more garden beds. I’m so looking forward to weekly updates! 👏🇨🇦
Thank you Peggy-Ann! I appreciate your kind feedback and you being here! Hope you’re doing great! 🍁 I love Canada!
@@HowsItGrowing Thank you for the comment about Canada, I love it too! 😄🇨🇦
It does make the yard look larger from my view. You have been working like beavers!! Looking so AMAZING! Say hello to the garden fairies for me.I still wish I could live with them!🥲 😚
I TOTALLY can see that area in front of the garage door being a patio area with a big square or rectangular pergola ❤❤
And you can open the garage door for entertaining on that patio !
I have always loved your garden and thought I would miss your white fence. However, with each change it just looks more lovely. I am excited to see the continued changes especially the flower bed near the patio.
Beautifulllll, great job Laura! I have a suggestion, maybe switch the fountain to the boxwood area and the sun clock with the raised beds. I believe it will create more of a balance and it will be easier to work in the raised beds.
The changes you have made are fantastic. The garden is beautiful.
Everything looks so beautiful!! ❤❤❤
Thank you very much!
Thank you
Oh Laura how Beautiful you made your. I can see why you are so excited. Your Rose's are Absolutely Gorgeous. You and Mark did a Fantastic job. I can't wait to see what is next. Stunning! Your garden has just flourished! Absolutely gorgeous! 💐
Laura, everything looks so lovely. The new changes are perfect in your garden space. The Spring here in Georgia has been glorious! We don’t often get a true Spring season, as far as the weather goes, but this year it was a true gift. The plants are loving it too. 🤗
Hi Donna!!! 💜💜 thank you for watching friend! And for all the encouragement you always give to me. It has been an actual Spring here too, incredibly. It’s usually steaming hot by now. So enjoyable and breezy. I’m glad things are beautiful there too! 🥰💜
I love your videos showing your pretty garden 🙂 you give me new ideas all the time 😃🌺🌻🌼
Your garden is so lovely. The changes and additions look wonderful! Where do you get your wire cloches? I see them all over your yard and I love them. They add a touch of English cottage touch. Happy Gardening!
Just beautiful! Great design ! A gardener knows when it feels right!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Thought I had lost your videos. Glad I got to see this video. Amazing what can grow in your cold neck of the world. Tfs cheers
Thank you so much for watching Victoria! It gets super hot here. Our summers are usually in mid and upper 90s. I don’t love it. 😆
Love everything about your garden! What a true delight!! Adore the greenhouse.❤
Your garden is beautiful. The urn plant combination is stunning. I hope to remember this for next year to replicate!
Wow! You are forgiven for not posting a video. All of the changes in your garden reflect the hours and thought it takes to create such lovely areas. Your garden should be featured in a magazine. If I had the resources and energy, this is the type of garden I would want. It's a treat to view your videos and I look forward to more in the coming months.
Great to see you back on after doing all your improvements, it looks wonderful, peaceful, & beautiful. Where did you get your willow tutuers?
Thanks Heidi! Some from Home Depot, some from shop terrain.
Everything looks fantastic Laura! Hopefully the tree does well for you! 🌺🌿🌸🌳💚
Amazing changes ❤

You deserve more subscribers, hopefully more coming!!!!
Beautiful garden tour. Inspirational! Thank you
Thank you for watching!
Love all the changes!! Kudos!!
Hi Laura! Your excitement is contagious!! Luv it!! Can you tell me where you got the long bamboo stakes? You’ve got a few sizes. Did you get these at a big box store? They add such an organic visual rather than those metal cages. Looks awesome Laura!! Thx for sharing your treasures ❤
I have been using the sheet mulching method in my garden and it has changed my life, lol! GREAT work!
This is great to hear Lisa! I’m such a newbie with it. But I NEVER want to dig out grass like that again. Been there, done that. 😆🙈
@@HowsItGrowing Right?! I'm trying to get as little actual grass in my yard as possible.
I just planted a new ‘rise up lilac’, and I had no idea I bought a climber……I wondered why it’s was so leggy! Now I have to get an obelisk! Lol thanks for the tour
This one can actually be grown as a shrub as well. Just depends on how you want to prune it. If you want to keep it as a shrub just cut it back in Sping to shape it. 💜
So many beautiful things. Very pretty
Thank you for watching and for your kindness Beth! Have a beautiful day!
I've been following along for a couple of years and I love everything you've done this year!! 😍 I'm always inspired when I visit your garden. 😊
So much appreciated Gina! Thank you! I hope you’re enjoying your garden this season. 💜
Wow, you have been so busy and it looks beautiful!

Very beautiful and so inspiring 🥰
You’ve done an amazing job! I love it!
I am really inspired by your garden❣ Enjoyed the video so much I decided to hit subscribe 😊
That makes me happy! Thank you very much! 🥰
Your garden is way too cute! 🍃💗🍃
Thank you so much!
I am tearing up! That dogwood is so beautiful. I want a full view of the front yard ,PLEASE! Yes, I know your concentration is on the back right now, BUT I LOVE THE TOTAL PACKAGE!🤗
Your garden is beautiful.
would like to see how you planted that tree with the cardboard .
Thank you! That cardboard is just laying there. I planted the tree in the ground as normal. I am going to be laying cardboard out in that area for a new bed soon, but I’ve never done this before so I’m not sure what the results will be.
We have two new Shumard Red Oak tress that we planted in the ground as usual last fall. Then we laid out big circles around the trees with string and marking paint, laid cardboard, wet it down, then laid top soil and mulch on top. The trees r doing fabulously, and we just made sure the cardboard and mulch doesn’t touch the trunks of the trees. We’re in Tx, zone 8a, and the cardboard decomposes while smothering out the grass which add nutrients to the soil.
It looks so beautiful! You are such an inspiration… I mean it, I have copied you on several projects, and I am going to copy another one (bamboo trellis). I appreciate all you do…
Hi Kate! This was so nice to hear. I truly appreciate it. Makes me so happy that anything I share is giving you some inspiration. Hope you have a great garden season!!
I can’t believe all you have accomplished in the last two months! It was beautiful before but it is truly going to be spectacular now! Love everything you do. 🌸❤️🌿❤️🌸🌿
What a lovely tour! 😊
Love your videos .. your gardens look amazing l really like the new changes ❤️🌷
Thank you Lisa! It gets intimidating to share sometimes because I know what I like, but sometimes others don’t like it and not shy to tell me. 😆 so your kindness is appreciated! Thank you!
Just beautiful!
Thank you Michelle, and for watching!
I haven't even watched the video yet, but just letting you know your thumbnails are perf. Every time I get recommended one of your videos, they're so beautiful I have to click.
Laura, catching up on your videos! Your garden always looks beautiful! Do you by chance recall where you got that gorgeous urn? I'm looking for a large piece or a fountain for a specific spot in my garden. I love that! So beautiful! Thx for sharing!
What a beautiful and inspiring garden, it's a gardener's garden ❤ love from England
Hi Laura, it’s such a joy to hear your happy greeting on Instagram and U Tube. Really enjoyed the walk thru of your garden. You explain everything you doing so well. 😊
love watching your garden change over time… where did you get baskets and trellises that you put in them? Do you plant directly in basket or is there material inside.. love how it looks
Looking good!
Thank you! 💜
Looking absolutely gorgeous you do such amazing job you’re garden is beautiful
Love all your new changes, everything looks great. So exciting
Good to know you have been busy doing what makes you happy 😊! I LOVE the changes, I think what you have been thinking is SPOT ON! I had been thinking about you in relation to you Master Gardener program that you took. In the program offered here @ UNH in NH, a requirement is to speak publicly, among others things once you have graduated (maybe during you classes). How long did it take you to do the program? I am in my 70’s I still love learning anything related to gardening and am interested in doing a program like that but the commitment to such outside things would be difficult. LOVED this video btw!!
Thank you so much Janice! It was a couple of months and meeting a few times a week. I got the certification and passed the test, but I’m not “officially” in the program now. They require volunteer hours to maintain your status as “master gardener” and with home, kids, my job, just not enough hours in the day to keep up with it. 💜
Hi Laura so glad you are back. Love your garden it is beautiful, looking forward to see your garden weekly since I’m not on instagram
Oh my gosh!!! I totally love your parterre!! That is absolutely the perfect solution to joining the two gardens together! I too have a gravel driveway that I can’t touch because my husband uses it from time to time. We recently moved a year and a half ago (downsized from a huge cottage garden), with an enclosed space, so now we are able to move things to the back of the house which I have to say is great. However, that does limit my gardening space. I can’t make a parterre although that that was on the top of my list! So I just have added a lot of boxwood as edgers and hedges in certain parts of the garden. When we first moved, I also planted dahlias and they were incredible! But they take up so much space in my small garden! So sadly, I had to remove them this year but did manage to keep 2 of them. 🤪
And don’t get me started on your beautiful potager! Well done!
So thank you for sharing my favorite type of garden. I’m just loving all your hard work, and can’t wait till you post more videos! Yay!
You are so so kind. Thank you! I love to hear all about your garden. Sounds like we have a lot in common taste wise and similar situations. This was originally an asphalt blacktop driveway, horrible use of space and soooo long. We had half removed and then gravel brought in a few years ago. The lower half of the driveway is still asphalt and we park there. I really appreciate you watching and such nice feedback. I hope you are enjoying your garden season! 🥰💜
Everything is stunning.
Thank you for watching Kathie! 🥰
Such a pretty garden! Roses are amazing! What is your tip on keeping Japanese beetles away?
Thank you! I have never gotten too many here. When Summer kicks in I get some, not a ton. I’ll go out in the evenings to look at the plants and if I see some, I’ll just flick them into a cup of soapy water.
Hi there! I just came across your channel today and LOVE your space. I was wondering where all your wicker baskets are from? Thank you!
It’s looking lovely!
Much appreciated Kathy! 💜
Hi Laura, i love your garden and i agree with everyone else that you have so much talent. Ive started growing roses this year and would like to know what you use for pests and fertilizer. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hi Michele! Thank you so very much! 💜 Everything in my garden is handled organic. So for roses I fertilize with Espoma Rose-Tone. Pests I deal with aphids and sawfly larvae mostly. I go out in the garden daily and will hose off aphids, and most of the time smush by hand. If you do that early on in the season, it really brings the amount down. Since I don’t use chemicals, the plants here are protected by beneficial insects like ladybugs that will eat the bad bugs. I also like to plant “trap crops” I have a large spirea bush in my garden that attracts many aphids. They tend to hang out there, and not as much on my roses.
Love it! Can’t wait to see it grow!
Love the new configuration, Laura. Could you share the dimensions and type of wood you used to build your raised beds? Thanks!!!
Thank you so much. They are 4x4 and we used douglas fir.
the Benjamin rose is gorgeous!! how are you keeping it up against your house? I see the lattice, but what about the long vining arms?
Thank you! I screwed cup hooks into the siding. Not many. I know this isn’t something everyone is comfortable with. The damage is minimal and if I ever changed things I’d just fill the tiny screw holes with vinyl filler. Works great!
@@HowsItGrowing love that idea.....thank you! 🌹🌼
I had to pause the video!!! That rose is STUNNING!!! 🥰 Where on God’s green earth did you find that? I heard you say the name! I am definitely going on the hunt for that! Now, back to the regularly scheduled program! 💜
😆😆 the one in the begining? That is Benjamin Britten. I got it online from David Austin roses. The one by the veggie garden is called New Dawn if that’s the one you meant. That one is pretty common and easy to find. It’s a fast grower! Thank you so much for watching! 🥰
@@HowsItGrowing David Britten stopped me in my tracks. New Dawn took my breath away! That is going to be so beautiful as it climbs the roof! Can’t wait to see that. I forgot to hit subscribe but I’m on it! 🙂. You’ve done a fantastic job creating a space so tranquil and inviting! I’d hire you to rework my space, if you weren’t so far away! You’ve got the eye for it! 🥰. I’m in Texas. 😂
What a transformation! Fantastic job!I also notice your fabulous climbing rose, which variety is it?
Beautiful gardens. Love your greenhouse. What variety of daisy did you put in the urn that will bloom all summer?
Thank you! I used Marguerite daisies. I’ve never tried them before. Right now they are even bigger. So far so good. It says they should bloom all summer. Hoping! 💜
Now I can see why you removed the fence. I think it looks much better if you don't have the fence with the arbor. Your garden both side will connect and looks much better. Put the fence not to high to where you garden vegetables with the arbor. and see if looks better. Just check it out. Maybe your gonna like it, or not..LOL
😆😆 I love this answer so much. It sounds exactly like what’s in my head.
Morning your roses look beautiful! May I ask what do you feed them with? Thank kindly
Thank you Lucy! I use Espoma Rose-Tone. I even use that on my hydrangeas! 💜
How did you train your climbing roses? What materials did you use?
I use cup hooks and fishing line along the roof of the shed. On the side of the house, just cup hooks with the canes resting inside the center.
Can you tell where the urn is from?? It is gorgeous!!! I just found your videos and playing catch up!!! Your garden is amazing!!!
Thanks so much!! This is the Neoclassic Urn and I got it from garden-fountains.com
@@HowsItGrowing thank you!!!
