When my husband passed away 1 1/2 yrs ago I lost interest in my home and yard. I’ve been binge watching your UA-cam channel and also White Cottage channel recently and you’ve inspired me and motivated me to get back to creating a welcoming and inviting home. Thank you!! I’ve gotten wonderful ideas/projects from you. I can’t wait to go thrifting and antiquing again. ❤😊
Being creative and working on your home and yard will be very therapeutic for you I hope. ❤ Sending out positive vibes for you for a peaceful heart.
So sorry to hear of the loss of your husband ( I'm a widow myself) it takes some time to find that creative spark again- happy gardening!
It' s fun and healthy to refresh your space and make it a haven of peace.
I’m sorry for your loss. I’m glad that your healing has begun. It’s been a year since my husband passed. It’s not easy but I am beginning to think there is hope. God Bless
I've been with my husband 23 years and just the thought of losing him makes my heart hurt. I can't imagine what you ladies went through. Prayers sent to all you beautiful ladies.
Every time I watch your thrift videos, I think of the saying “use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without.” You make magic out of odds and ends. I love the fairy door because I’m a sucker for fairies but I really like everything!
Thank you so much, Dianna! What a lovely compliment!
I always love outdoor DIYs. Living in a colder climate, I get excited starting to see outdoor videos. So many of the UA-cam artists I watch are in southern states, so watching people do outdoor patio shows make me happy and dreaming of the summer months.
Summer is coming, Terry! The weather in Illinois is still unpredictable! We have had several severe storms with hail in the past few weeks.
Clever, clever, clever! Your patio looks lovely Sherry, during the day and at night. I especially liked the tea pot with fairy lights and the birdhouse chandelier. Your family and friends will love hanging out there.
Hello Sherry, ho are you doing today?
I hope you never stop making these videos! I’ve never seen anyone with as much artistic imagination as you have. You are truly gifted.
Oh, thank you! What a sweet compliment! 😊
Out of 25 out door make overs there’s not one I didn’t like. Everyone was great creativity on your part. So awesome for a out door patio or a deck area. Loving all the fairy lights. In the evening when it’s dark it looks so magical. Sherry, you are awesome!!
♥️♥️😊👍👍🌟🌟🌟
I can’t even pick a favorite because all of your creations are so clever and charming! Your patio looks so inviting and comfortable!
Hello Robin, how are you doing?
An
I randomly came across this and I’m enjoying all your creativity, planning some crafts with older grandchildren for yard art!
I love all your ideas! I especially love how you add in what to do to make them last longer. I live in Arizona and have noticed how much the intense sun wears on things so much in just one summer. Very helpful to hear about how long your projects last and to also see how you reuse them when that happens🥰
Thank you, Julie! I went to ASU and lived in the Phoenix area for five years. The sun there is brutal. I would think that all your furniture needs to be shaded.
I don’t know where to begin or where to end with regards to commenting on your creativity, your vision, or how much I enjoyed your video. What an oasis of peace your patio is!
Oh, thank you! 😊
Wow! The birdbath and the plant hanger...love them!
Thank you, Susan! 😊
Gosh I love how your mind works! I have so many random things lying around that I assume I will never use, but you have given me some great ideas!! My jaw was on the floor watching each masterpiece!! I have found gardening therapeutic in my sobriety, and I love learning new ways to decorate. Thank you!
I have a TINY apartment porch...but on the corner, allowing more "yard" than most in the complex...I cannot wait to get started on these!! Love and hugs!
I love all your ideas. Absolutely love the bird bath you did.
Thank you so much! That blue and white tray was a lucky find!
Love the piano music at the end of the video. My favorite is the floor stand plant hanger with the fern in it🌿.
I love all your ideas I need to spruce up my little backyard. It’s very small but I wanted it to be charming and I love spring stuff. I love winter stuff but I wanted to be family friendly. I have a new grandbaby so I want her to be in the backyard with me as I plant and grow my flowers and veggies.🌱🌱
I enjoyed seeing how you reuse items you already have or purchase for cheap at the thrift stores. All projects were awesome, but I really love your planter chair and your fern iron planter.
Only now you have that beautiful arbor/cover outside.😊❤ Love your clever, budget friendly ideas.
Your ideas are practical, inexpensive and VERY pretty! I also enjoy your delivery, calm voice, not TOO many instructions - leaving it open for individual interpretation! Thank you, and hugs!!
I love what you did with the chandelier! So creative!
I love all your outdoor idea's for patio, and how you can do it affordable with today prices well done, and your patio is looking amazing .
They were all amazing as usual!! I absolutely love ❤️ the teapot with the cascading fairy lights!! It is soooo cool!
Thank you so much, Elaine! I love how the cascading fairy lights look at night!
Love how you did the seeds on the watermelon coasters. And the jar cozies
I love all the creative outdoor decorations, I also love how you explain how you made them in detail, and your calming voice. Especially like how you think outside the box.and create wonderful decor.
I love all of your projects. I like how you set up small vignettes through out your patio. I'm sure your guests spend a lot of time looking at all of your creative projects.😊
Oh, thank you, Sherilyn!
I’m loving the lantern bird feeder 😮🎉😊
You are very creative and I love the projects but my husband would NEVER let me drill holes in my house to hang things from! You go, girl!
So many wonderful projects! My favorite was the waterfall but snapped a picture of the clothes line basket to try to make! Thank you 😊
Your creativity knows no bounds! I love all the new makes and really can't choose a fave. However every time the little mouse house came into view waaay down there made me smile big!! Tfs and Happy Mothers Day😀
You have a lovely welcoming patio!
Your patio is gorgeous and thanks for the tips! 😊
Q
Hello Jenn, how are you doing?
Very sweet things, the squirrel would brake some of those things so fast, they are alot of troible here.
Absolutely beautiful projects ❤️❤️❤️ thank you for sharing
I love the watermelon tray , so much. Was bright and summery and then you went further with the coasters , utensil basket and cozies. What a beautiful set ! Love love everything was lovely Thank you as usual for all your creativity and awesome imagination . Blessings
Thank you so much and blessing to you, too!
You are amazing! I hope your husband appreciates all you do!
Thank you! I don’t know if my hubby “appreciates” what I do, but he lets me do whatever I want. If you’ve seen last year’s bedroom makeover, he wasn’t happy when I removed his coat rack, so I brought it back. He so rarely expresses an opinion about decor, so if he needs a coat rack, he can have it.

You never stop surprising us with your lovely creations x
Love, love, love everything you made for your patio !!
The wood box is my faviorite. Love how you used an old bench back to the back. Its both a bench and a wood box.
Your imagination is amazing. I do things like that, but your vision is much stronger. I love 💕 your work.
Absolutely wonderful!!! I really love the bird bath and bird feeder. I think it all turned out pretty great. You always make the best things and I love your videos.
Thank you so much, Laura! 😊
Wow oh wow your ideas are amazing and the good thing is the type of tools you used are doable for anyone. You are too much much. I love you.
Canterbury Cottage, This is amazing! I can't stop smiling!
What a pretty and inviting space you've created. I love the caged fern in particular. Can't wait to see what new projects you have for your patio this year. Have the birds been using the feeders, nesting boxes and bath? I'd love to see what kind of birds you get if you can film some. Sadly I have no garden here but I did pot up two raised planters outside the communal entrance to the flats last year. I used hardy succulents which amazingly did survive the winter and have now taken off at a pace. Fingers crossed they should end up trailing over the sides in the coming warmer months!
I say 'ditto' to all the positive, wonderful remarks. You really are a gifted & talented person who generously shares her knowledge. THANK YOU ❤
Wow, thank you!
Youre a GENIUS. My favorite was the large chandelier turn hanging planter. I always look forward to your videos. Noone can DIY as good as you.....noone
Oh, thank you, Shannon! You are so sweet!
Heading to Habitat Restore tomorrow to look for suitable fixture…new addition to thrifting list.
There was alot on this video to mention everything & the music is relaxing. Especially if you add black mulch to your stepping stone & river rock walk would really be nice with your black & white them ;). Have a nice summer 2023 😊
Well, beautifully executed and styled like only you can. It is so gorgeous and has a relaxing, comfy vibe. 😌
Thank you, Nickie!
I couldn't have said it better..just lovely!
I like how you explain things. It sounds so easy and doable . You are so creative and inspiring .
So fun great ideas. I find myself buying items and sitting on them for awhile until the idea comes and another piece is found to complete the project.
Beautiful DIYS. The outdoors space looks amazing at night with the lights. Xxx
Where have you been? This is the type of DIY I want to make! Thank goodness I found your videos.
Absolutely gorgeous & so comfy/cozy looking! ❤❤❤
I remember you gave your patio a beautiful makeover last year.
Thank you. Yes, these projects are from the past few years. I haven’t really started working on my patio this year. I’m still brainstorming ideas.
You're blue & white bird bath really inspired me!! Thank you 😊 💓 ☺️
Hi Sherry 🌸
Great video and thank you for letting us know how your projects held up!
hello.
Thank you for sharing wonderful props and beautiful garden and terrace videos.
Stay healthy in the hot summer.
I pray that you are healthy and at peace in the Lord. Shalom
Oh, thank you so much! Bless you, too!
I love your ideas! They’re very creative and pretty, not cheap and tacky. Keep your creative genes up and doing over time ❤️
Your creativity is endless. I get inspired by watching. Thanks for sharing
Sherry, you give me SOOO many amazing ideas for my yard and home. I love them ALL, and will definitely be trying them out as soon as our weather gives me warmer weather. ❤❤❤
Love love everything! Good job and thanks for the ideas for me to be able to reuse some things I have that I couldn’t think of how to redo!!!
You are so clever and creative! My favorite is the large chandelier with the fern inside.
This woman is a wizard. Oh my goodness
Very inviting and cozy. Love all the extra touches. Beautiful. ♥️👍
What a beautiful patio. Your diy's never disappoint and are always giving me fresh inspiration!
Love them all. I'm partial to birds and ferns and fairies, so perfect match for my tastes. Thanks for sharing your talent.
I love love the candle holder bird bath! My favorite! Great and beautiful job!
Sherry these are really great ideas! I love the wall art with sheet moss and the giant outdoor light turned planter!!!
Thank you so much, Christine! 😊
Oh my gosh!! The fairy door!! 🩷🧚🏼♀️ your outfits are super cute too!
Oh, thank you!☺️
Wow, I love all your projects. I love the chandelier with the fern! Loved the bird bath bottom with the feeder on top! Love them all and the fairy lights falling down is so pretty! I have a front covered porch that goes all the way across the front. When it storms it does get hit from the side and pretty hard, depending on the wind! If storms are predicted I usually try to move things closer to the wall to protect them somewhat. Love the ideas you come up with and it does get the mind flowing with my own thoughts of what I can do! I also love the wood box, because that is something I need. Thanks for the inspiration!
Very creative. You have several unique ideas. I’m amazed!
Cathy, from Durban South Africa. I am redecorating my whole house.
I made a bird bath out of a large old terra cotta pot and metal stand from my mom. She loved bird watching, used a solar fountain to keep the water moving, it has attracted the birds.
I love this idea! I will definitely be buying a solar fountain because I rarely see birds in my bird bath.
They are all beautiful! Honestly, I LOVE your two tier planter way more than the other two. STUNNING!!
Hello Fitwith, how are you doing?
I think I have just watched over 3 plus hours of your videos! I LOVE the way you clearly teach , your personal touches and techniques 😊❤❤❤thank you!!
Wow, thank you! I am so glad that I can share some ideas with you (and you enjoy them)! 😊
So creative, I love your style and how you repurpose without making waste. Now off to my garden to see what I can transform based on inspiration you shared here. Thanks !
Thanks so much 😊
How beautiful! Everything you’ve created is so perfect to make a yard and patio so cozy! Love all your creations❤
Thank you so much, Ann!
I’m late today….no notification! Geez….UA-cam. As always, great ideas Sherry .
Thank you, Lanet! Sometimes my husband doesn’t get a notification until after my video has been out for awhile.🤷♂️
It is so beautiful, I dream about having a space to do things like that ❤️
I fill ceramic garden stands and statues with sand to stabilize them. I then plug the holes in the bottom with newspaper and hot glue to seal.
Thank you for the tips! I’ll have to be sure to pick up a bag of sand.
Number 17 is GORGEOUS!!! What a great flip/idea
Oh, thank you, Lia! 😊
Thank you so much for sharing your amazing creations! I am always inspired to try diys when I see your videos ❤
Hello Tasha, how are you doing today?
I thought i was a LITTLE creative, but you come up with ideas that never would have occurred to me! I LOVE your stuff and hope you dont mind if i use some! Thank you for being an inspiration!
Thank you so much! Of course, you can use my ideas. I hope you will!
I love upcycling and you have done some really fun and interesting projects. Thanks for sharing them. 😊
Great ideas.I feed the birds in my backyard since 2012. They are so beautiful in every year I get the same blue birds nesting in one of my trees and have their babies. It’s so rewarding.❤
I love that planter idea for the fern!
You have given me so many great ideas with this video, Sherri!! I love every-single-repurpose you came up with. You are probably the most clever person I know with your eye for how ANYTHING can be used! Thank you so very much for sharing such unique ideas!!
I absolutely LOVE your channel! As a retired teacher myself, I truly appreciate your creativity and design. You are a true inspiration!
Do you have done a wonderful job on this video giving us lots of inspiration for our gardens. Thank you so much for sharing so many great little things we can do to make it look fabulous and not like everyone else something unique and different. Hugs and kisses from grandma, Sandy and Debbie.
You are so welcome!
Great projects! Use Brick Clips instead of a nail or screw. You can hang items on them and they don’t damage bricks.
All such wonderful ideas and I love your patio area. Thank you for sharing all your ideas.
Love the chandelier crafts! The herb basket is something I'm gonna do for sure! Nice use of lamp shades.
I am now on the search for a chandelier! What a great idea!
Oh my goodness :) It's lovely, amazing and a place that one would never get tired of. I could sit there watching the birdies eating. Looking at the flowers filling in their pots;. At night I would look for fairies flying around the lights. I'm a dreamer sometimes especially when your in a place like that :) Hug's and God Bless. Rebekah
Oh, thank you, Rebekah! I’m a dreamer, too! 😊
So creative! You always give us so many good ideas!
You sure know how to do it Sherry! Beautiful! ❤️💕
I wish I could see your stash! You always seem to have just the right thing! 😊
Your DIY garden projects are so creative and fun. I can't wait to try them myself.
what a lovely yard and patio you have designed. I can hardly wait for warmer weather so I can get out in this February unpredictable Ohio weather.
I know what you mean. We had 4 inches of snow and a 60 degree day in the same week here in Illinois!
Wow! You are such an inspiration to me. Thanks a million. Your patio is absolutely romantic, and beautiful. I am cheaper, than a cheapskate, and your ideas just suits my purse. Have a great spring, and summer!
You are so welcome! I’m pretty cheap myself!
One marvelous project after another! All these ideas are just great. Thank you for sharing.
You have a beautiful space!
