No, he didn't. Rachel led Bruce on, knowing how much he was needed to save Gotham, but she couldn't be happy with him. That letter was the culmination of her leading him on, not entirely honest either because she said it to hurt him after letting Harvey get arrested. She reacted with anger and hate, as much as it was honesty.
@victor4782 Your just as oblivious as the guy in glasses. Rachel wasn't leading Bruce on she was following his lead as best as she could. Holding out for him with the last bit of love & patience she had left for him. Because she did truly love him. But wasn't going to conform to his Batman persona. Because it wasn't normal. Not all girls want that type of Superman & Lois type relationship. She was hoping he would eventually give it up & then they could start having a normal life together. But Bruce's obsession & quest for vengeance & justice was an immense toll on both of them. The only normality in Bruce's personal life wasn't his billionaire businessman playboy status or even his relationship with Alfred. It was his relationship with Rachel who knew his secret & could talk to him on a different level from others. But how long was she suppose to wait? Countless times Bruce made promises that it would be soon or the last time & that he would put up the cape. But there would always be something else. She even told him "Bruce don't make me your one hope for a normal life". Yes she knew he needed to save Gotham. But how long & how many times? Threats will always come & go. It's part of life it's the world we live in. Psychologist did studies on Batman. Showing why majority of his personal relationships end badly.Selina Kyle, Dick Grayson, Barbara Gordon, Jason Todd, Talia al Ghul, Vicki Vale, ect. List goes on & on. It's due to his priorities. His unwillingness to put aside his differences. His one sided view to stop crime & injustice. His pride & ego. An that's what makes Bruce Wayne Batman. He prefers being Batman more than anything else.
@@ChosenOne1991yeah I thought it was clear at 1:58 when she basically promised ‘i told you I’d be with you when Gotham stopped needing Batman, and THEY might stop needing you someday, but then i realized that you yourself will always need that persona regardless , so my promise was pointless”
"Is alfred saying what he did was bad?" No it's more on just a case of "cause and effect" my guy. You stop bad guys, bad guys get worse (or in this case find someone that is), get ready for that.
For Those Who wanted the Extra scene.
Enjoy.
Thanks man
Glasses guy somehow managed to misunderstand Rachel's very straightforward letter 🤣
