So... I had an issue with the video quality. Sorry 🥲 I promise the next one will be better. As you can see, I just started this week so I would really appreciate the support for the channel :)
Dude don't apologize. Your content is absolutely amazing especially regarding you just started out. Keep going please. And if I'm allowed to say that: Please don't become one of those people who just become judgemental of stuff they don't like? It's really refreshing to see somebody go into detail so much about how stuff is actually made. There aren't many channels that do that at all and there sure as hell are even less that do it well.
It goes back to the days of plays, its easier for people to read over acted and over voiced performances. In modern times, they reflect more what it feels like in your head than actual reality. You have every perfect word and response.
I know this isn’t what you’re implying, but performances weren’t overacted because of people not understanding them otherwise. It was so everyone could see and hear since microphones and speakers weren’t a thing even though they were smart enough to develop theaters that amplified sound. I find it kind of interesting that you can see this overacting in older films where they only had a single microphone. Everyone talks at a near shout just so they can be heard by the single microphone dangling above the set. Had to get that brain worm out of my head.
@@lemonmouth7895 Though I get this point about the microphone, what comment above stated can also be true. In the old times, acting jobs dominated in the theatre and radio, so they were heavily depending on what to say to the audiences and how to say it in the most clear way, so the audience could get it. Also, it was because of how young the industry was. They just didn't use the cinema aspect to those limits of today, that cinema is above all visual medium. It's the same with videogames. Just look at some old game from the 90s and compare it with games from today like The Last of Us.
Man thank you for getting into UA-cam. Videos on just my favourite media, expressing things i felt while watching in words and concepts I would never know. Man I hope you'll keep making analyses of this quality and keep enjoying it for a long time!
Damn bro, didn’t know Marriage Story was chill like that. First time I saw it it made me feel things but it’s nice to analyze the little details that made it work.
Thanks for breaking down every frame so masterfully and explaining the significance of minute details. it gives another dimension, which is not obvious at all. One question though. I understand the urge for recognition, alas, your appearance in the middle of a scene is not right. better to start as you always do, then cut to introduction by you and that's it. Be that as it may, it's a real pleasure and I'm an avid subscriber.
your videos are awsome ! the fact that they´re behind their lawyers has me thinking that they are feeling guilty and with shame, feeling weak to the point they need someones defense
This analysis is amazing. I remember I initially watched this movie coz I was just excited that Kylo Ren and Black Widow were in the same movie but what a pleasant and emotional surprise it turned out to be. Thank you for helping us to understand it better.
I was binge watching your videos and I noticed you were at 99.8k subs, as I opened this video I see now you are at 100k. So let me be the first to congratulate you on 100k. You make great content, keep up the good work. ❤
What astonishes me most is how amazing the cinematography and framing is, even though the set design is extremely bland and limited. An obvious choice by the filmmakers but it's amazing how much emotion they can convey even in a mundane environment.
great video man. you have a good eye for cinematography techniques but i would like to see you explain how the shots and composition ties in with the narrative more often. Otherwise you're just explaining what the director did with no additional commentary. The times you did do this however where very well done 👍
This movie was literally the story of my parents/family only that I was 6 and heared all of it and my father was physically and psychologically abusive towards me and my mother and a lot poorer (actually my father was insolvent and lend money from the Mafia to pay his bills just to run from them). Well, maybe just the emotions I felt during this movie did remind me of the divorce of my parents 🙃🔫
That has to be hard for a kid to process. I hope you are able to talk to a therapist ( a good one, not a charlatan) so you can learn how to form good relationships that are not based in turmoil.
I buy your argument, and it's an incredible video, but you need a third party to serve someone a lawsuit, so while that scene may be an example of the use of an awkward intermediary, it's legally necessary. Either way, amazing analysis! I particularly loved the birds-eye-view 3D model of the set. Genius!
Do you ever analyse stage plays or films of stage plays? I write and direct plays and so I think about the staging of my productions the way you critique film.

Great channel, loving the short format and the production quality! And I'm learning a lot too. I see big things in your future!

Again, like in your recent Pixar video, you reveal a hidden insight. You unlock the mysteries of cinema and make it new again.
Dude... you're really amazing at this. COngrats! I hope I can see more

Wonderful analysis. You should do this more often.
The weirdest thing just happened. I enjoyed a video and I managed to like & subscribe without the narrator having to remind me to do so. Go figure. 🤯
Thank you for reminding me to like the video too 😊

Thanks bro! I just uploaded a new one today :)
Nice job! Have you considered the exaggerated acting in Andrzej Zulawski's Possession?
Brilliant - This is my third - catching up.
Isn't that the guy who flips coins and has a weird air pressure gun thing?
If this is a serious comment I'll answer... No that is Adam Driver. The actor you're thinking of is: Spanish Actor, Javier Bardem.
