Why not place a 0.1 Ohm 25W power resistor in series with the LIFEPO4 battery on the red wire ? It limits the current being pulled from the battery to around 15 amps while actually starting the car. It also decoupled the battery from high amperage loads and allows the supercaps to do thier job and supply the bulk of the energy for starting your car.
Quick question: If the Lithium Battery has a lower voltage of 12v and the capacitor is 16v wired directly parallel, How does this rest? Or how does it work together? Sorry I'm new to this and researching before i decide to start a project. Thanks!
16v is only the upper limit. The Super Caps will only Charge up to the same voltage of the battery and will deliver a Large amount of Current within seconds. The super caps will only give the Intial powerful kick and the battery will sustain.
@@iangoh7289 just have one other question, what's the best way to wire these up to charge off the alternator? I have a lithium house battery that's charged on a dc to dc. Would these need a alternator regulator set to lithium profile?
No only 7S lithium ion and 8S LiFePO4 have similar enough voltage profiles for that to even remotely work…but due to the resting voltage of LiFePO4 it further complicates things and is not recommended

Not in Parallel! At 1:06 I am sure you meant In Series in order to make 24V out of two 12V capacitor banks.
no resistor between lifepo and ultracaps so its going to put a lot of extra wear and tear on the battery/bms with high drain. ugh.

yes! as long as they are packs with their own bms
