When I went to Paris with my family, we were expecting Haunted Mansion/Phantom Manor to be just like at WDW. We were so surprised!

I believe the Sven animatronic is a puppet being performed by a actor or puppeteer inside the float. But if it is truly animatronic then still amazing job!

Great job! I actually live at Disneyland Paris (next door to the Val D'Europe shops, on Disney owned land) I moved here a year ago ago for work, and of course I go for a run and visit the parks and village literally every day to do at least one ride, one show, or go shopping/eat after my run. Its been incredible, I've loved visiting Disney for holidays for many years and I'm getting to know it so much better than I ever thought I would have the chance to. I adore Disney World as well but though Paris is much smaller, some of the little flourishes and design details here are just so cool to me, and I love how everything is easily walkable from park to park and the queues are SO much smaller. Our castle is my favourite in the world too, and the dragon caves underneath is a huge part of that, it is incredible. It was so surreal when they closed the parks and village down for lockdown, I've never known it to be closed since it opened in 1992 :( Hopefully it can return to normal soon. :) Stay safe everyone!
You're so lucky! Last month when we went to DLP we stayed next door to the Val D'Europe shops for a while and you have no idea how much we loved it
@@fastpassfacts Thank you! I absolutely love living here, there is everything I could possibly need within walking distance from my house and as you know its a beautiful area. If you remember the terrace courtyard with the fountain at the main entrance of the Val d'Europe shops, I live in a flat attached to that, but to the side. The bus stop for the shuttle bus is literally on my actual doorstep :) I'm very happy here. Just looking forward to everything opening back up again of course! I'm so glad you had a lovely time here.
@tinylilmatt I'm so glad you have happy memories of there, that's amazing that you worked there in 1992 on the first year! 😮 I was actually there on holiday on the day of the Batalcan attack, it was our last day and we travelled back that afternoon, was crazy that if we had been just a few hours later, we'd have been caught in the madness of travel delays etc. We heard about it when we got home, so sad. I didn't know they shut afterwards, but that makes sense to ramp up safety measures etc. I remember hearing about the incident at the HNY, and was very happy that the stringent safety measures were working. Disneyland Paris is my favourite place in the world, I couldn't bare it if something bad happened there, I'm glad their security is so high. 😊
@tinylilmatt Oh dude that's really cool! I was there for the 25th anniversary too (I used to go a LOT before I moved here lol, 3-4 timess a year in recent years for different seasons/events) but I didn't know original staff were having reunions, that makes me happy that you all had such happy memories to want to be there. I don't ever remember there not being the security gates and bag checks, I don't know what year they were added. After the attacks in Paris though, the security notably became much stricter (my mum was once stopped cos she accidentally had a small knife in her big suitcase left over from picnic when camping!). I don't mind it, it helps me to feel safe. Its a shame a tiy tiny amount of people make it inconvenient for others, but better safe than sorry and the security are always lovely, especially with the kids.

As someone who’s ultimate dream is to build her own theme park, thank you for this and all of your videos. I love Disney, but I can’t afford to go to the parks in my country much less in Europe or Asia, so I’ve picked up a habit during quarantine of watching videos like this and videos of the rides in their entireties and imagining I’m there instead of stuck inside. 😂
When I was 6 I was TERRIFIED of the dragon even the second time i went I would still forget how terrified I was lmao

I was surprised by the Captain Jack animatronic the second time I went on Pirates of the Caribbean ride but I was even more surprised by the Barbossa animatronic

i think personally that phantom manor is less scary than haunted mansion. but the henry ravenswood animatronic is pretty terrifying. i went to disneyland paris last summer and got to see it for myself. not just phantom manor, but the whole resort was so beautiful.
How long has the squid been like this? Because I remember being there the last time and being disappointed at the movements. I knew it was better when I had been there before. But the last time I was there was in 2006 I think...

Totally agree. Both original Phantom Manor and Space Mountain: From the Earth to the Moon, were superior to their respective updates.
@tinylilmatt Yes, was there this past October and Loved that Vincent Price is back to co-narrate the ride. Hated the change in story though. To see mannequin Melanie in the load area makes no sense. And, to have the same Phantom throughout, instead of having him a bit more decayed, like Melanie, every time you see him, really takes away from the story. Same with that ending, or, lack of ending.
As for Space Mountain, here's hoping they go back to the far superior original version after Galaxy's Edge opens.....or sooner.

But I've seen plenty of other channels where you can tell the person narrating has taken the time to study what they're talking about, planned out what to say, and then memorized it. No offense but these guys are clearly just writing a script down and then reading it as fast as then can off a sheet or cards behind the camera. The original host of this channel is much better
