And now I have to face it: I just don't like my life here and never did. I used to find reasons, to say "I must try harder"- but it is just not my country. Right now Iam in the tallinn in the hotel preparing for my flight back to the UK after staying in Moscow for three weeks and I feel totally sick already. I feel almost wretched, and finally I admit, i cannot continue living in the UK, I don't like Europe or any other country and Ive travelled a lot, the only way for me is my Homeland, this is the only place on earth when I feel alive, present, truly happy - it's undescribable. The most amazing aspect of Moscow, is how very clean and orderly everything is, and most wonderful of all is no ugly graffiti anywhere. Truly a place where the citizens are very proud to be residents of Moscow.
It’s so true. When I come to Moscow from Vienna which is absolutely marred with graffiti, it’s such a pleasure to walk there, such a huge contrast. Moscow is impeccably clean and not only in downtown Moscow but in other districts as well.
So nice to hear you guys have been married for 20 years and are moving to Russia. I just came back from there last week and I want to move back there after 30 years overseas.
Come to St. Petersburg also and travel across Russia - I’ve been to Baikal, Kamchatka, Sochi, Caucasus etc. I’m from St. Petersburg ❤ my husband is from England, he adores St. Petersburg, and our metro stations were shocking for him - like underground palaces and only for 0,50 £ 😅
Moscow is a fantastic city. I have been there twice. Any American considering moving should start the process today to become part of a culture that values traditional beliefs.
Love Russia and Moscow. A beautiful place and beautiful people. The most beautiful women on earth. Kiwi here, amazing to hear that you have lived in NZ.
@alexvlasny9755 hahahahaha yea righto, what media channels have you being watching?? That's insane. I wasn't arrested the first time why would I be arrested the second time?
Every time I watch videos on Russia and its cities and the countryside of Russia, I fall more and more in love with Russia 🇷🇺 Canada 🇨🇦 I guess you would feel more safe in Moscow than you would in Glasgow or Edinburgh Scottish Guy ? I visited Russia and Moscow for 2 weeks this July. It really is a great country and people should see it for themselves, before they make up their opinion on it. And Moscow is a beautiful city.
I have been watching your channel and a few others these last few weeks, Russia looks great and the people seem to be amazing, with the way the UK is falling faster than brick dropped from a plane, i really want to get out of my own country, will have to wait till July next year as my daughter is in her last year of college.

I really enjoyed the people you bumped into - who responded to your comment about speaking English! Shame you didn’t get them to subscribe to your channel (if they have UA-cam) Great video! Proud to be a subscriber from the UK London! Keep it up! Keep showing us Moscow and Russia!
Your videos are quite interesting. I'm 76, retire, and living near Chicago. If I was in my early 20s, I might consider Russia as a place to live. It's safer, cleaner, and devoid of the moral corruption and cultural rot that infests the USA at all levels.
I used to work in Rosyth dockyard 1981 to 1999 and remember all the crap we were told back then. If you were going on a visit or holiday to a non approved country you were grilled rotten and warned about being approached by shadowy people ready to extract secrets that were bad for Her Majesty's defence. Propaganda still embedded in the population to this day, despite the fact that our government are more dangerous to us than we'd ever believe. I've seen enough to know I'd rather live in Russia than experience the decline that's headed our way in the UK. Much as I love Scotland I'd be willing to leave it if the opportunity was available.

Foreigners find English speaking people speak too fast to understand- your words flow easily when you speak in your mother tongue, no matter the language 😁. The good thing about social media is that we're uncovering the lies we've been fed for far too long. A Polish YTuber I'm subscribed to wants to move to Russia too.
I’d love to visit Russia, so much history and culture. People need to look into history and keep an open mind and try things for themselves. They’ll be surprised
I moved to the UK from Slovakia in 2011 and I like it here. People are friendly and welcoming as long as you respect the British culture. My parents are in Slovakia and they are more than happy living there. They have their own house with a big garden, which is the most important thing for them as a retired couple in their early 60s. Maybe I will move back when I get old, but for now, I am happy here in the UK. I love that I can spend time in both countries. I like how busy the UK is (population of Slovakia equals to 1/2 of London), you can always find something to do + the architecture, museums, the way of life, the people, but I also enjoy the mountains in Slovakia, proper 4 season and how laid back Slovaks are. Skiing, hiking, mountain biking...it's another level and I miss that sometimes, so I visit often. Speaking of Russia, I would love to visit one day. Since they introduced an electronic visa to Russia, it should be a bit easier now :)
Good advice. I wish someone on such videos would focus on the Russian Orthodox Churches which i love. I wish i could see inside each one . And even get glimpses of the services , but i recognize the unlikelyhood of that. Because of the beauty and holiness of the services. As a convert to the Orthodox Church who first attended services in Moscow and St. Petersburg, they would be my first loves if i could go back, which i cannot now..☦️💜☦️

Love the sound of Scottish English ) thanks for saying such a nice things about Russians ! We will always welcome everyone, who’s coming to Russia with good intentions !
There are almost no Russians in Brooklyn. They don't move there. The Russian speaking population in Brooklyn are Jewish immigrants who immigrated from the USSR (Mostly Odessa, Ukraine) back in the 1970s and the 1980s. Their children (who also still speak Russian) were mostly born and raised in Brooklyn. These Jewish people have nothing to do with Russia or Russians, neither culturally nor in terms of ethnicity. The dialect of the Russian language that they speak is also very different from Russian spoken in Russia. It sounds very funny and weird to any Russian. In recent years there have also been a lot of Russian speaking immigrants in Brooklyn from other republics of the former Soviet Union, like Uzbekistan or Tajikistan. They also have nothing to do with Russia or Russians. Now, if you want to see real Russians from Russia in the US, you need to go to Miami (Sunny Isles, Hallandale, Hollywood and Brickell). That's where most real Russian immigrants are, especially from Moscow. Boca Raton, FL also has a huge Russian community. The second largest concentration of Russians is San Jose, California, because of the IT industry. Also, Russians usually live among Americans in most major US cities, like in Seattle, Chicago, Austin, Charlotte, Tampa, San Diego, etc. Many Russians do not live in the Russian speaking communities in the US.
@@elena79rus …… sorry, but I have to disagree. I was born and raised in Brooklyn and now live on Staten Island. Brighton Beach and Sheepshead Bay have a huge Russian population - almost 90,000, hence the nick name of “Little Odesa”. The large Jewish Russian population lives in areas like Boro Park, Williamsburg (the largest Orthodox Jewish population in NYC), and a few areas on Staten Island, plus huge communities in upstate NY. The Russian Orthodox (Christian) have been most recently been coming to Staten Island within the last decade or so. My neighbor and his family emigrated from Russia to Staten Island about 20 years ago. At the time, none of them spoke fluent English, but their sons integrated smoothly into the school system here and have gone on to very successful jobs now with NASA. They are Russian Orthodox (Christian). The Russian population on Staten Island is slightly less than in Brooklyn and as far as I know, there aren’t any Orthodox churches on Staten Island, but several beautiful cathedrals in Brooklyn. Actually, according to the latest population data for 2024, New York has the highest at 357K, California is second at 354K and Florida is third, with just about 2/3s that amount (196K). Anyway…… the point is, Russia has often been depicted as some dark, nefarious, unfriendly-to-outsiders place by the media, but recent videos by Russian citizens, as well as non-Russians living there now, show a very different place - one of law and order, strong family structure, rich culture etc. it is looking very inviting, especially as we see life here in the US take a sharp turn away from traditions and culture as it heads to more woke agendas at warp speed. My husband is of Lithuanian decent, and I taught in a Greek Orthodox school for many years, so the Russian culture, having several similar traits, has always interested me,coming from a totally different background of NY Irish/Scottish/Sicilian 😊 ~> which is why I follow several channels here.
Very interesting videos you are making. Moscow seems very clean and litter free and graffiti free. Of course Russia is such a huge country and quite fascinating.
Greetings, mate. Russian is a very very difficult language and the russians are well aware of that and are not very demanding like the french, for example, it goes by itself that it's very very hard for a foreigner to learn it even on a basic level. So the only important thing really is the idea and the vibe when you try to comunicate to people in a foreign language, the grammar and the pronounciation really don't count that much, the only important thing is comunicating intelligent ideas with a good vibe, the rest is details. P.S. Learning english for years and then listening to a scottish person speak english and not being able to understand a word, not even where a word starts and ends was a real shock, lol. So I feel your pain about coming to Russia and having problems understanding the locals that speak not quite like at russian lessons at a language school :) Really good content, nice job!

There have been many very large and dramatic wars on our land in recent centuries. This changes the mentality. On the one hand, we have seen many times that you can only save yourself together, you cannot survive in a big trouble alone and you need to help those who are nearby. It is a shame not to help. On the other hand, Russians can become very unpleasant people if you really anger them and become an enemy. Friends and enemies are real concepts in Russia. In addition, the ancient tradition of helping a foreign wanderer is still strong in Russia.

I think in western countries people don't really make friends and stay away from others as much as they can to avoid ratting on non existen things so they use small talk instead. And if they make friends it's because they've decided you are their personal slave, not because you are equal. Friendshiping in west is a lottle bit mad.
Your opening my eyes here my friend, the stereotype we are fed from the uk establishment and media about Russia is not surprisingly a load of guff., I’m 62 and would definitely consider moving there. The monument to children victims of adult vices is an interesting one! There was a lot of controversy when it was just erected, as tradition of monuments with negative connotation was almost nonexistent in Russia. Local residents didn't like the monument and told it was ugly. I like it though, I think the artist was genuine in expressing this idea.
This is my favorite monument in Moscow. I am a local resident. 😁 It would be interesting if they let blogger through the fence and allowed us to film the monument up close.
I know what you mean. I can imagine a child asking what this monument means. It lacks innocence and it could be taken both ways. I think the best thing about it, is that it sends a clear message to parents.
Have YOU of the concept called "The Quality-of-Life Index"? In the USA the major cities have a declining Quality-of Life Index as I have experienced it in Philadelphia and in Louisville. Luckly with my wife and myself having the wealth to escape those two cities we NOW live in Eastern Tennessee and our quality-of-life is NOW back to what it was when I was growing up in Kentucky. I can see that Moscow has a high quality-of-life for those Russians who can afford to live there. About the language, I see that there are portable language translators or apps you can have on YOUR AI equipped phone. The new Samsung phones have apps that can translate in real time the spoken words of Russians into English and that is what someone can do if they lack the ability and the time to invest in learning to speak and understand a new language. Being a retired person who has just moved into a new community I would love to come and visit Moscow and stay for a year and find out how the Russians in Moscow live. I can already tell that I would love to explore the Moscow Metro and its cultural sites.

That detail with the tree where people can put their lockets tells you something very important. I always thought bridges look messy with all those lockets on them, which is not pleasant for the eye and breaks the aesthetics of the outside environment. Simple solutions like that just make a lot of difference, because you want to walk around clean and nice-looking streets and bridges. Seeing that clean environment itself educates people to respect it, kids see clean street they will never trou their garbage outside the bin. This respect for the environment and the people surrounding you is very much gone in Western countries.

I used to work in Rosyth dockyard 1981 to 1999 and remember all the crap we were told back then.

Russia is a country of opportunities.
@@hansschwartz1480 For self-realization of a person. Have you watched the video? New horizons open up for a person, new opportunities appear. A person's opportunities are not necessarily money. First of all, it is self-realization and self-development. Money is only a pleasant bonus or a consequence of these opportunities.
@@hansschwartz1480 Many young Russians are leaving Russia en masse only on the pages of Western propaganda newspapers. Just as I have repeatedly read reports that there are no men on the streets of Russian cities. This is nonsense and a lie.
But of course, this phenomenon partially existed, two years ago. But these people left Russia not because of a lack of prospects and a lack of opportunities, but because of their political views and mobilization. But now more than 70% of these people have already returned to Russia.
What came first, the chicken or the egg? For some reason, for you, self-realization is first and foremost money, and only then develop with this money. But Russia is turning the card table upside down. First of all, morality and soul, and material goods are in second place. First, a person realizes himself, sets new goals, does not see barriers, spiritual uplift, a new outlook on life, a change in worldview, development, and only then money, as a consequence of all of the above. Russia is a country of opportunities because there are all the ways for a person to realize themselves, and if after that a person can earn money, then that is a big plus. Cheers mate, I appreciate that!
Shout out to Brooklyn! (Native Brooklynite here). There is a very large Russian population in Brooklyn and Staten Island.
Great video today!!
1:38 wow, this random encounter was priceless!

Люди в Москве автоматически начинают говорить быстрее, даже если приезжают из маленьких городов, где речь и ритм жизни более размеренный. Я это на себе испытал, поэтому с уверенностью могу сказать, что это так.

I think in western countries people don't really make friends and stay away from others as much as they can to avoid ratting on non existen things so they use small talk instead. And if they make friends it's because they've decided you are their personal slave, not because you are equal. Friendshiping in west is a lottle bit mad.

It would be interesting if they let blogger through the fence and allowed us to film the monument up close.
