Great content as usual. Found you guys last summer when I started reselling and switched to shoes exclusively with your help and because I love it! And LOVE Lindsey’s shirt! Vegan 6 years now ✊🏼
Just one more thought I'm also wondering when you pay yourselves from your profit are you paying yourselves in at 100%, and if so how are you funding your thrift Hauls, Marshalls, etc I'm not trying to be a pain I'm just trying to understand better.
Great content!! .....As usual !! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your success with others! Your positive energy and good work ethic its contagious and I love it!! Always looking forward to watch your videos!
Hi guys! Hope you all are well and keeping busy during these crazy times! Yesterday was my last day to go sourcing and I found my first pair of Cole Haan's (which I learned about from you!). Not the highest market value, some casual dark green suede men's shoes, haven't found an exact identical pair on either the co. website or on ebay or poshmark so maybe they were an older style? Perfect condition they look like they were never worn! Will price in the $35 range as a similar style is selling in that range (paid $7 minus my old lady discount - I'm only 58!) but still very excited to find my first pair! Felt like I got a virtual high 5 from the two of you :) Thanks for the continued education, especially now that we're confined here in AZ for the most part, using it as study time. I'll be really raring to go when life gets back to normal. Love to both of you and your families - stay safe out there
Tks very much indeed for you 2 sharing all these valuable experience to us. Wish your shoes resell business keep on growing in good health. And helping more beginners in long terms. Blessings.
Hey RNZY, love the videos, was wondering what you meant at @7:15 about the 25% for taxes. Do you mean beginning of the year tax season taxes or just the sales taxes through the outlets you sale through?
Appreciate you tuning in 🤝🤝 We’re referring to tax season federal tax taxes : ) We always make sure we keep up to date on our yearly taxes so it doesn’t jump up on us at the end of the year.
Rnzy Thank you’ll so much for the reply! So when you guys take out the 25% is it 25% of each 7-day week total profit or is it 25% of 1 day worth of total profit?
Great advice definitely you guys are great! 👍👊👊 do you ever Source shoes like from these liquidation companies I see sometimes like branded shoe bulk pallets, it's something I was going to venture in but it's a little iffy.. thanks
We don’t use EBay. We do cross list on Poshmark and Mercari. Pros and Cons to every marketplace so we use the ones we enjoy. We don’t enjoy using Ebay.
Ryan Morris we’ve sold over 11,000 pairs and that had happened less than 5 times. When it does we simply let one of the buyers know the pair has sold on another marketplace and we will do our best to hunt them down another pair.
Do you have a template that you would recommend to keep track of the products you have listed? I have started listing yet! Taking lots of pictures and listening to others success stories. Learning from other’s to do and not to do. Kinda old to start 67-but after Covid and now long hauler’s Covid - trying to find something to do from home that will motivate me and bring in some extra cash! I’ve always loved thrifting and my house shows it! Better get rid of this stuff so my kids don’t have to deal with it….otherwise I will hear them in heaven saying mom over and over….anyone else have that issue 😉? Love you two - your rewards will be great!
It’s not about quantity...it’s about quality. There are people that have 1,000 active listings that struggle to sell pairs and people who have 100 active listings that sell them all in a day. Source with respect to the market value on the marketplaces you use and put up good listings and you’ll grow.
Diego Flores we do a ton of research BEFORE we buy inventory and have multiple game plans to sell each pair that all include making a profit. If inventory isn’t selling it either means you didn’t do enough research before, you’re not being as active in your listing (using all the tools offered by each marketplace to make a sale) or you made a bad purchase. Sell them for what you can and learn from it or try another marketplace.
Thank you for the video, info and ideas. Do you all have to deal with paying taxes to the state for your online sales? Out here in Arizona, we are a nexus/point of origin state. So everything I sell I have to pay 8.05% tax against the item and the buyer has to pay any applicable taxes on their end. That 8.05% is a beast on top of the 25% for federal. I'm taking a margin hit, but your content helps me continue to learn how to mitigate all of that. Thanks y'all. -casper
So many intricacies from state to state. The one thing we can tell you is all our taxes get paid in full every year. Super important when running a long term reselling business 👊👊 Sending you our best from Maine!
@@rnzynow Absolutely 100% agree. The Tax monster gets theirs and I set that aside before I do anything else. Thanks for sharing your journey and adding value to the community. I hope to add value to others as well. AZ out. 🌵
Velvet, I have a few pair in the garage right now, but most of them are in my home office space. I’ve only been reselling since October ‘19 so I haven’t run into any dry rot issues as of yet. My current hope is that we can turn over the inventory enough that it doesn’t become an issue, but your comment certainly has me thinking now. -Casper
Quick question. I have put my first 11 pairs up for sale on Poshmark per your advice. My average buy cost is about 6.50 and I'm asking 29 for all of the pairs. I'm following as many of your best practices as I can. No rips, no tears, original insoles, no funky smells, 20 bolo brands, cleaned the shoes up, nice photos, clear descriptions, etc. How long do you think it will take to sell my first pair, and what is average time for a pair to sell if they are priced competitively?
On Poshmark you should be pricing based on comps (completed sales) The $25 per pair if you’re following our videos is for Facebook Marketplace local deliveries. Great work getting started! Always here if you have any more questions 🤙🤙
@@rnzynow Thanks for the advice Rnzy. Excited for that first sale. I'm going to cap my inventory at 20 pairs for this first month per the wives request. It's probably good to start small and figure things out first.
