Wow, Paul! Your playing, the Oswald, the strings, the people you recommend & refer to... they're all so classy. One detail: your playing on the rhythm circuit sounds excellent, I'm sure Leo would approve. There's definitely jazz in that Jazzmaster.

Paul , thats your Masterpiece. ( No matter it's from Tobias ) Your playing is brilliant and so is this Oswald. There is definitive a great danger to get addicted. And yes , that thing sounds better ( in my opinion ) in your hands and with your style of playing than any other instrument of yours. And now think about, how this sound could improve ? Yes , with a Deluxe Reverb , a Vibroverb or a Princeton.

I’ve just stumbled upon you4 channel, Paul and very glad that I did! Lovely playing and amazing tone- much better than many other UA-cam guitarists who do have the fancy interfaces etc- but also great engaging style and personality. And as for the Oswald Jazzmaster, wow I want one!

That was my first thought. Ive been lucky to play some seriously nice pricey new guitars, but nearly all of them sounded new, its a thing you have to know to get for sure haha. But this thing sounded old in the best possible way. That said - i have never once tried flatwounds so… maybe thats a thing!

Yeah, I gotta say I’m very happy with both my Oswalds (Strat and Jazzmaster). His build time is definitely getting to be a longer wait though…. which I guess is only natural as his popularity grows. All in all I’m quite the fan of his work !

I was hoping that with all the anticipation Paul, that Oswald would work it’s own way out of the box. But scalpel skills aside, you did a nice cesarean delivery. And no tears of joy.🤷♂️ Back in the early 60s when I worked part time at Toronto’s largest musical instrument store, we couldn’t give Jazzmasters away. Jaguars definitely out sold them. Perhaps it was just a Toronto thing. To this day I have still to play one. Anyway, nice to see the enthusiasm with the new arrival. Sounds great.👍

This guitar has such a cool 60's vibe it's as though by magic all the notes and tones are emerging from the instrument without you touching it! I can also hear "Sleepwalk" ready to burst out all of a sudden. Lovin' that lazy whammy bar.

I have never played or wanted a Jazzmaster----until now. It just sounds glorious, and your playing is so melodic. The first piece you played by Tobias Hoffman reminded me a little of Ry Cooder's version of Maria Elena. Fabulous stuff.

nice egg-shell blue finish! that reminds me back in early 1990's when I was gonna purchase a JAGUAR PRE-CBS '63 in that color BUT couldnt afford the £550! price at the time. never been a great lover of the vintage headstock that I also have on M.I.M. FENDER burgundy mist strat from 2000! but still a great guitar. anyway all the best on your new baby!😉. and like to see how you play it with even heavier gauge! cheers! Gordon.😎
