I never watched Narcos and I did see an interview where Tenoch Huerta said he there aren't really much opportunities in Hollywood for Mexicans especially of indigenous descent. When I heard the rumor of him being in BP 2 as Namor I was like WHAT. Clearly he is not what we all expected. But then I read on that article that Marvel is looking at 2 Mayan characters. Then it hit me. The Mayan civilization is one of the biggest civilizations in human history and their empire expanded down to central America. As a Mexican we don't really know what happened to that civilization and why they suddenly disappear, leaving ruins. What if they decided to hide from mankind? This could be the new lost city of Atlantis but full of Mayans living a new life under the sea. 🤯.

I've been a fan of Namor since the 90s. I'm ready to see him mack on Sue Storm. I also, kind of wish Marvel would recast T'Challa so we can see him fight Namor.
Same I feel like they shouldn’t do it immediately and they should take the time they need but T’Challa is an important character and should probably be recast because he’s such an amazing character

Here’s hoping that they actually use Namor right instead of just dumping him into being a pure villain. We need more of the Namor who fought as a member of the All-Winners and the Defenders.

In any case, Marvel are not going to recast, but if they did, Aldis Hodge would be the perfect replacement for T'Challa.
Recast T'Challa or bust. I can't believe some people want Namor to kill T'Challa all for the sake of "Good storytelling". That's like saying the Winter Soldier should kill Steve Rogers in Captain America 2 in order to start a feud with Sam Wilson.

What if ... T'Challa's soul is trapped in a Spectral form. But because of the heart shaped herb, he is able to transition and take over the body of another who has consumed the herb... Shuri could have been rebuilding KillMonger's body and trying to find a ritual to return his soul to his body... essentially a blank. ( Use your imagination)

What i suspect. Killmonger does not die. or is not "dead" when he is dumped into the ocean. his body is recovered by the atlantians and thus begiunning killmonger's arc to become the black panther, this time honorably
I mean, the Wakandans and Atlanteans are not on good terms with each other, if they got Killmongers body they would probably kill him (if he wasn't already dead) and feed him to sharks or something. the title of Wakanda Forever almost makes me think that there won't be a Wakanda or a Black Panther as well, so how could he come back to a role of ruling a place when neither the role nor the place really exist anymore?

@@faxkellerman8610 one for sure, the Okoye one is still under debate if it's her own show or if it's part of the Wakanda show or what exactly because the wording for it was a bit confusing. Also, yes, we are getting at least 1 Wakanda show coming up, however that doesn't mean Wakanda can't be destroyed in BP 2 (As I said the title suggests to me may be happening) and the Wakanda show simply be a "walk through the history and such of Wakanda before it was destroyed" type show or whatever.

I know, that's the point. The enemy of my enemy. Killmonger dies an enemy of wakanda and a claim to the throne. Atlantean deux ex machina revives killmonger so that he can be integorgated to provide wakanda secrets. or turned agains thtem. This seperates from teh comic, but perfect for the movie considering it's michael b jordan that sold that movie . tying him to the franchise would be something i'd try to do with i was feige to keep the black panther going strong.

I would love if John David Washington was cast as the new t'challa. As a black man I feel like not recasting him does more harm than good. I didn't know Mr. Boseman like that but i feel like he wouldn't be the type of person who would say "when i go this character goes with me" not when he knows how important that movie was to our culture.
indeed, T'Challa's story has been about fully accepting the mantle of king and being fully comfortable with his decisions. Marvel has 3 kings: T'Challa, Namor, Blackbolt and from them we have various points of view of what it means to be a king.
Black panther isn't even about tchalla we need a whole tchalla origin flick. Just start over from the beginning. Show how a young man is educated on his path to becoming king. Without disrespecting his elders.

@@geoffreytasker2097 T'Challa had already assumed the role of Black Panther from his father prior to CW. CW was like his first appearance in Fantastic Four, an introduction of the Black Panther and Wakanda to the Marvel Universe. We then had him become king in his Solo flick, fight thanos and lose in IW, then briefly come back at the end of End Game.
With Namor and Doom both on the horizon having T'Challa is essential at this point

Namor and Black Panther first became rivals in the old defenders comic book 40 years ago .

Rob, good to see you enthusiastically talk about Namor, I guess I had the impression you were not a big fan of the character from some of your much earlier videos. Anyway, Namor is my all time favorite character since I was a kid and I always thought he never got enough respect! I hope this rumored actor will play him with all the ego, unrelenting, and haughtiness of The Sun-Mariner.! He needs to be kind of a egotistical jerk but also awesome at the same time.! Such a great character!!!

THIS is why the decision to not recast Chadwick is a terrible one. He was an amazing BP, and his loss was tragic, but T'chslla as a character is integral to so many epic stories. They should have recast him...or bring Killmonger back and adapt to fit in those stories. Shuri we all know becomes BP, and T'challa becomes King of the Dead. Just writing out T'challa altogether, we lose all those epic stories. T'challa is inspirational and amazing. Recasting was the right call, after a proper time. Now it seems the MCU is going to explain T'challa dying somehow, with no recast, and I feel that we lose more than a gifted actor, we lose all that he was going to portray. That is wrong. I hope Marvel doesn't F this up :(

I think they’ll write T’Challa’s death in connection to what happens to Atlantis, and Neymor mistakes T’Challa’s attempt to stop the atrocity and is instead blamed for it
I think with all the Multiverse craziness happening that they bring back Killmonger. Except he is Black Panther for that universe.
Rob, there's a story called Invaders featuring Namor, Cap & Bucky and shows how Namor has ptsd from WW2. Definitely worth a look at how he copes and how people like Iron man treat him.

Namors history is the reason why I believe Black Panther should be recast a few years down the road, Boseman was an amazing Black Panther but there is too much history and story for Black Panther to just end with Boseman's death. The next actor could possibly take on the role with the same passion and love as Boseman did and we could get another great Black Panther for years to come. Can't wait to see Namor on the big screen and maybe Storm making an appearance in the same movie.
Agreed. They should use the Panther god to reincarnate T’Challa into a new host like The Matrix did w/ the Oracle character. Another option would be that the next Black Panther in succession would take on the 616 Black Panther plot points and not T’Challa. Either way, the heart shaped herb &/or Panther god allows all knowledge and experience to be passed to the next Black Panther. Black Panther is a major character in the Marvel tapestry and a title shared by many just like the Immortal Iron Fist. MCU has way more leeway than the comics so I see no reason not to have a new Black Panther. How many Spider-Man, Batman, Superman have we had? I’ve lost count.

Not recasting T'Challa is the biggest thing they can do to dishonor Chadwick's memory.
Would love if Disney uses similar under water special effects from Pirates of the Caribbean movies in Atlantis scenes.
If Feige doesn't announce it I don't believe it especially if it is a big character like Namor, no way Feige would skip announcing that.
The other thing about Namor that I really hope they nail is his absolute disrespect for everyone. I need him to be disrespectful in wakanda, I need him to be disrespectful of Reed Richards marriage. I need him to be disrespectful to literally everyone that he meets that has any significance in the MCU.
I don’t know why I haven’t heard anyone talk about this yet but I think Michael B. Jordan is the best choice to replace Chadwick Boseman as the black panther. The excuse for his change in appearance would best be explained that it is in honor of killmonger. As we know he became sympathetic to killmonger’s philosophy in the end. It would be much better recieved than casting a completely new face. Just a thought. What do you think.

Momoa changed the game. They need someone that can match him or Namor will be seen as a weaker version of Aquaman despite the comic origins. The Rock used to be fan cast as Namor and Black Adam when he had hair. The fan cast became a reality with Black Adam. Now we'll see if he has interest in the MCU. Who ever they pick, this skinny guy Rob and everyone else is trying to push ain't gonna cut it.

No Rob, the coolest Namor moments was when he threw Wakanda under the bus after the Black Order shows up to Atlantis after Black Panther wipes it out, and he tells the Black Order the Gems are in Wakanda; this was followed by Namor throwing BPs words back in his face " I drowned your people once and when they dared to raise them selves up I burned them down again. But I want you to know one thing of those that remain, every breath they take is a mercy from me"

I hope I'm wrong but this guy isn't physically big or powerful looking enough to play Namor. To me Namor's stature is a big part of the character. The same mistake was done with the Jack Reacher movies. If you never read the books then it was a good movie, but if you were a fan of the books some of us were disappointed

I'm also pretty sure they referenced Atlantis during the scene in endgame where black widow is talking to okoye, captain marvel, rocket and rhodey. When okoye says there was a mild subduction on the African plate or something black widow asks how they're handling it and okoye says "nat, it's an earthquake under the ocean, we handle it by not handling it" I remember because I thought it was a reference at the time because the mark on the map in the scene with Nick fury and Captain America the mark in the ocean would be right on the African plate, near where it meets the South American plate so it actually makes sense there's be an earthquake there.
If you really think about it, Vegeta (Arguably the best anime character EVER & easily the most intriguing character in the Dragonball Franchise) is just anime’s version of Namor. Personality & backstory wise, they are the EXACT same person.

SAME. He went to far with jokey silly stories in Ragnarok which saw the frivolous death of nearly all of Asgard, and Thor is making jokes? C'mon. Humor can be injected but lets not insult the seriousness of the material

@@BlueCheeseLucci well I'm sorry to hear that. Overly serious Thor is what Thor IS, though injecting humor helps break up the brooding. Dark World got a bad rap because the elves and Maleketh were written and designed terribly. The final fight was meh. But go watch the movie again it is far better than given credit. Ragnarok was too silly. Fun, but eye rolling weak humor that doesn't fit the gravity if the story. Likely we see more of that in Love and Thunder, though I hope pulled back a bit
@@mitchcowan1446 I actually enjoyed dark world thought it was better than the first but I still prefer the 3rd I understand u wanted more serious but it did get serious in the end also infinity war picked up what where rangorok left off with the asgardinan people being in despair. Also I like humor in my mcu movies it works. I think thor is more of a proud person. You make him sound like batman where he doesn't crack a smile

Tenoch Huerta is the best to represent a a Native Indigenous Warrior representing Aztec/Maya culture in Atlantis. This is the reason I have become a Namor fan a d looking for to everything Tenoch Huerta as Namor and future franchise of Namor.

Thanos was killed off too soon man. He would have still fit well with all these new characters coming out.
People should be pissed that T'Challa is being killed off in the first place. If you are one of the people thats against recasting then respond to this explaining why because im genuinely curious why you believe that not recasting is the best move not just for honoring Chadwick but also for the grand scheme of Wakanda in the MCU. #RecastTChalla
