Omg Capri is the sweetest, cutest most mature little human ever 💞💞. She is such a great little bird Momma now I can only imagine when she gets older. She’s going to be just like Mommy and Daddy for sure ! Seriously, you guys great job on raising a well rounded thoughtful, brilliant, beautiful baby girl ❤️
Yes 👍 I absolutely agree.. love 💘 u guys im watch u guys every day I am thinking about getting my 1st bird 🐦 and super excited 😄about it so Definitely wanting to figure what one was kinda in between a sun conure or a Indian ringneck or a few others. Definitely not ready for a bigger one!! Lol
What a cute and smart kiddo Capri is! I'm really jealous that she gets the opportunity to grow up with birds! She gonna be the best bird trainer ever! 😅
My Green cheek was noisy as well. Just was so sweet until I left her for 3 weeks. She would bite me every chance she got after that. I was never forgiven.
I appreciate how like honest you are with the care and living with conures, and all your birds. It looks like a lot of fun and rewarding but never looks easy. I've seen a "cutesy"article that said parrots make good apartment pets and my eyebrows hit the ceiling.
I am hard of hearing and I rescued a 3 year old sun conure, I enjoy everything about him. I feel people with hearing loss should be open to rescuing the loud ones, the ones that most people would avoid... If you would put that out there, then I think more unwanted loud birds would find loving forever homes
After finishing the video I'd say that's pretty much dead on. They just scream for screamings sake, if you just have one you can at least kind of teach them different calls for attention. My bird was never once afraid of my cats, they're afraid if him. So yeah big bird personality for sure. I need to watch your video on getting them to play with toys again, Gordon is stuck closer than cling wrap with this quarantine. Which is bad since now he's jealous of any attention I pay the cats. I ain't your mate bud I'm your dad 😬
The evil little smile when you asked Capri if she had been making faces at the camera, then she said no, made my day.The good thing about a galah, is it’s morning and dusk for the screech, to say hi and good night.Although joining in with only phone conversations is also a favourite.
You know what is worse? An African Grey who mimics the low battery sound on smoke detectors. ...had personal experience with that and we went through 3 batteries before figuring it out.
I can barely handle my amazon parrot screaming soemtimes (Although im used to it by now), A Sun conure? For Me? NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE!!! My ears are going to bleed! Lol
That beginning was too much.... Nope too adorable. The giant grin on Capri when she realized it was filming. Also, yeah, I will just enjoy YOUR sun conures. From afar. ;)
I got a sun conure because of your first video with them. My Simba and I are two peas in a pod and we love to drive the house nuts! I rescued her she’s 8 years we’ve been together for 9 months She’s helped me with my anxiety and adhd. And that adhd isn’t something to feel bad about. Love you guys. Thank you. I think the best thing about owning her is she loves me entirely lol
Hey!!! I love all your content, especially your sun conures. I recently bought a baby sun conure at 4 weeks old and was able to hand feed him, he is now 9 weeks old super happy and weaning well. Mango loves your nutritional feeding system. Just wanted to say thanks for all you do to help birds and the bird community.
My sun conure is literally the sweetest little boy, and over our first two months he actually started to scream less, I love having the personality of a macaw wrapped into a cute little sun package
Your daughter cracked me up! The bird store/rescue I volunteer at has about 12! They definitely talk a ton and their cry is very distinctive. The first time you hear it for hours on end, you’ll never forget it! 😂❤️🦜
I have found that the quickest way to bond a bird to me is to sing to it. (and not just birds, all animals, especially young humans!) Each of my birds has their own song, which they LOVE. I've had my sun conure (rescue/rehome) for 11yrs now, and absolutely adore her.
My husband found our sun conure on Thanksgiving, freezing and starving. I looove my little Louie, but he drives my husband CRAZY and attacks all visitors.
My answer is yes.i have 4 Caiques. They scream and call and whistle back and forth all day long. Oh, my husband has Timbrado and Gloster canaries. 9 males and 5 females. The males sing all day. I love it!
Your daughter is so cute and she made me laugh. You asked did you make faces and she said no, meanwhile she made faces which was so cute and funny. I love her drawings 😍
Thank you for this video. I did things backwards ie bought a sun conure then started learning. Bought your intro training series and also following you has made all the difference! Keep up the great work.
I have 7 conures 😂 i actually love the sun noise! I'd love to have a flock of 10 one day! I have a macaw too and we are adopting a 22 year old elanora cockatoo in august which is the one bird i'm pretty nervous about
I really love how you explain things. You are very thoughtful and aware of your viewers whether they are experts or beginners with birds. If you have time and could point me in the right direction, i would absolutely love that: I brought home a male Cockatiel two days ago and i have been researching endlessly to get all of this right. The first thing i am focussing on is to not be too overbearing these first few days towards him. I have (for the most part) done everything else right for example, pop him in a relatively high spot, in a corner so he feels safe, good cage setup, diet, different natural size perches, etc. If i ever go near him, he starts endlessly pacing, climbing up and down his cage, sometimes smacking his beak on his cage. He has never ever hissed or bit me. I am not sure if he is anxious of me or if he is desperate to get out and fly. The first day i brought him home i made the mistake of giving him a taste of flying out of his cage in the room and i think he enjoyed it. The problem is, he is not hand tamed and hasn't even become fully used to his cage so it is a struggle to get him back in. I haven't even considered target training him yet just because his energy levels skyrocket when i go near his cage. Would target practise be the first thing to teach him even before hand feeding and getting him to step up? The most progress i have made with him is when he does settle down and im sitting near his cage, he is comfortable enough to eat his food within close proximity to me. I walk past his room daily and whistle and say hello to establish a connection and relationship from afar, but i really dont know how else to go about it. He is extremely silent all day and i assume thats because its all new to him but im not too sure. If i can tell he is going crazy to get out of his cage, should i use this to my ability and open his cage and sit infront of it to see if he approaches me? Or should i leave him inside until he is hand tamed and able to understand when he needs to go back into the cage? Another side note is he is not interested in millet spray, toys or anything else at the current moment. Ive paid attention to his food bowls and he does love sunflower seeds. Im thinking that when i switch him over to pellets and fruit/veg, i will remove the sunflower seeds slowly and use that as a treat to get him to come to me, step up etc. If you read all of this, thank you so much. I do appreciate it.
I love my sun conure, Sunshine, because he is a cuddly, affectionate and lovable goofball. He is a clown and so clever. He loves his tickle-tickle time, and is so smart.
My sun conure was a good boy... He only screamed when he was right next to my ear LOL Needless to say I prefer green cheeks, even though they are more nippy.
I am very interested in becoming a parrot friend (owner). I fell in love with a son conure, but also love the macaw. I am enjoying your videos. Thank you for them.
I can't believe how grown up she looks . I love the fact that she really enjoys working and playing with the birds instead of being made to . I hope that came across correctly.
My husband and I had two Jenday conures, we just loved them! They were very noisy, but they were awesome! Both have passed on now, Nikki was 23 and Bobbi was 28. We miss them so much!

Oh gosh, i loved this video. There’s a sun conure at the local petco (which i wish they didn’t sell birds). He’s been in this stupid little cage with NOTHING to do. I asked if i could buy it a toy but supposedly the petco “vet” said it’s not a good idea to put anything in there. Maybe there’s good reason for that, but i don’t think so. . It’s been in that stupid box for MONTHS with nothing to do. I hate it. I also hate how no one who worked there seemed to care or know anything about the bird. Oy, had to vent.
Don’t know if anyone els noticed this but about 2 minutes in Capri asked the bird if she wanted to be scratched / pet and with no help form Jamie she read the birds body language and knew not to must say I’m impressed!!!!

Please, take a deep breath & let him fly indoors. My sun was the most special of all my birds. He was allowed to fly from the kitchen to a small screen enclosed porch. Yes, I did clip his long flight feathers. Yes, he did have to work a little harder to fly. But that worked in his favor because our apartment was very small. He never screamed from boredom & he was very social. He didn't bite. Over a very short time, he learned to go to a perch to relieve himself. Ever since I has Pebbles, I realized how to have birds in a house. It's not about the cage, or the petting, or the food. It's all of it with as much freedom as you can allow.
Keep him in his cage for the first week. Then in the second week, complete checkpoint training in the cage, if you're still scared then have a piece of fruit on a stick and complete the training, help the bird know that you are friend not foe. Don't look at it with both eyes as it can cause the bird to be scared as humans may look like predators because we have our eyes on the front of our head. Just let it be calm, as it can be very skiddish when young. So just wait it out and let them fly around and give them space. Just ignore then in week one, in week 2 let them out of their cage and let them fly in your house.

i have a sun conure. surprisingly he’s mostly quietly but not for breakfast or dinner lol
Same, but I guess it's probably different when you have more than one.
Mine is the quietest at night time..
same!! except when she feels like we arent paying attention to her or arent in the same room as her she starts screaming like crazy!!1
Same!! The only times He’s loud is if I leave the room (he’s loud for about 10 minutes after I’ve left), but he usually a sweetheart and super quiet
