I bought 2 of these with a dual axle tandem trailer and I love them. I take them out at Ventura harbor and even drive them up to Morro Bay. I don't have much of a problem with storage BUT I found a excellent place to lodge the anchor in the engine compartment on the starboard side. I take water and sandwiches in the storage at the front seat and no issues at all even catching swells in the ocean. I put a Ronco pocket fisherman in the front storage and fish while I am having lunch in open ocean, great stuff! We also drive these like I stole them and they have not let any of us down so I am enjoying them a lot. Would I ever just buy one? Um, no.. You can always find someone to go out with you when you have two and as long as you clean the hell out of them with salt away and then pressure wash they hold up really well. From a price point for 2 you can't go wrong!
Front deep storage, shallow plastic storage has plastic pop fasteners, pull them out lift that pan out and you will have storage . Anything hard or metal like a anchors, wrap in some beach towls. Dealer told me that then said don't recommend because of the wiring. All I did was use wiring sticky blocks, wire tied everything out of the way Works perfect. Luv my machine

For the most value for your dollar, I would go for the Kawasaki stx-15f, I have a 2008 model that I bought brand new, and its still running great to this date. Plenty of storage, 160 hp, still in production and virtually unchanged except for the color. Mine does 58 mile an hour on a full 16 gallon tank and when the tank is running low I can get it up to 62 mile an hour. And since it's a naturally aspirated motor it will be very reliable.
I got a 2018 VX cruiser 1.8HO for 10k flat. Thats not much of a price difference from the EX deluxe. The dealerships I talked to would not drop the price on the EX models. New line up and selling good I guess. Did have to spend an additional 900 bucks for the all aluminum Triton trailer........The ski has good power (180Hp). Decent storage. Good handling in chop. Also got a extended service by yamaha ,they call it Y.E.S. until mid year 2021 for free. NO complaints so far. Knock on wood......So in conclusion I would recommend a VX for your next purchase.

This was our first ski to try out on the lake so we could be very versatile out at the sandbars. We have since realized we want a pontoon for next summer. So in the spring, we’ll most likely be selling this for a pontoon. Overall we like it, but we need bigger now. My neighbor has the VX with the same TR-1 motor and his does 60. And goes through the chop quite a bit better. I would also recommend anyone wanting to buy a ski for more than 1 person to ride, do no buy the EX series. The EX Series is nice for one person. Overall it’s still a good ski

Just found a 2019 Ex Sport for $4500 it has high hours and some dings but too good to pass up. Just did a fresh oil change and CeraTec it runs awesome..Hit 53mph on Mission bay..
My dad bought two of these and we were able to fit one anchor in each the anchors are really small but like 10 pounds and it will keep the waverunner from floating away at the at the sandbar
You may have already found an anchor and I haven’t read the comments but maybe look into a kayak anchor, I’ve seen some very good compact ones that may work for you!
This is no review, just a rant. Why buy one of those huge heavy whale PWC with big storage compartments when all you need is a 3up compact, powerful, light, nimble, fun ski, easy to handle in and out of the water and easy to store. Sometimes less is more. Had an old VX before, I’d take my EX any day of the week or I just grab the boat.

Dude there is a Yamaha anchor that fits in the under seat bin. Was just at a Yamaha dealer and they showed me the anchor and we confirmed it fits in there.
I live in Florida and am trying to buy a jetski just to ride around and have fun but the water tends to get pretty choppy. Does this jetski bounce around a lot while hitting waves or is it a smoother ride because I’m trying to decide between this or a sea doo spark
Austin Leeck yes i put 2 lifejackets under there you can leave it with out the white plastic clips and just use the lid you have the ropes on as an extra layer of security for the water to not get in there
I did it to mine also, you will want to put the black part back in every time to keep water out, but it has its own tab to keep in place and doesnt need the white plastic clips.
Some guys working on my lift broke the left side mirror and I need to switch it out. I have the replacement but not sure how to access the interior to make the change. Do I remove the front storage container? Looks like it could come out, but doesn't want to that easily. I don't want to break anything else. It is a 2017 EX Sport.
I just bought a 2018 EX deluxe myself. We did the break in period today and a big wave hit me once and the ski went in between gears somehow and sounded like it was grinding gears and then shut down right as I was between two concrete pylons under a bridge. I'm feeling a little skeptical about this machine now. Luckily I was able to restart it and it then went into forward.
Mike Dugan yeah I would go that route if you’re going to be on the big lake. I had mine on Lake Huron once Andy had some chop. Especially with two people on it. I don’t recommend for big lake chop. Inland lakes are good for this machine
I doubt between the ex deluxe and the seadoo gti 90 hp because of the fuel consumption but i dont know the seadoo can only do 43 mph and the yamaha 53 mph. I mean the gti is so much more better in fuel consumption and the seadoo spark is also fun but not comfort
HI Austin, I'm thinking about buying one of these and wondered if you would mind answering a few questions for me? Is this ski stable with 2 people on it? Second how does it do in typical Great Lakes chop?
Overall would you say it would be worth upgrading from my 2010 VX deluxe to this? I have an opportunity to get one at a great price but it measures alittle smaller then the VX but I think have a brake instead of just manual reverse would come in handy often.
Brett Ekelmann umm it really depends. The VX goes through the water better. My neighbors have one. This with two people on it, with it being a little rough.. seems like anything over 25-29 MPH it starts to hop. VX is bigger and cruises better. This is just made to go have fun on. Plus it’s less stable. Overall it’s a good machine. But there’s lots of room for improvement on it
Austin Leeck really appreciate the quick response! Only have 44 hours on my ski and it’s in perfect shape just though maybe the ride technology might be worth ditching the manual reverse but I do like having alittle more storage and bigger ski for when it gets choppy

Yamahas are the most stable and comfortable besides power., so good choice.

Storage definitely sucks but A mushroom anchor fits fine up front and works good for the ski.
Take the clips off the front storage there is plenty of storage underneath the lid

We ride our EX’s in 4’chops on Lake Erie and they do fine! Provided y’all don’t get sea sick!

I fit a 10lb anchor just fine in mine. If you wanted more storage you definitely bought the wrong model and spent more money
