It's far more appealing now. I was only expecting only a visual upgrade but it seems to go beyond in gameplay. People expected new menus or completely new animations but that's not the case. I am getting the game now.
That's BS, the industry is just not like it used to be. All those in charge and those who worked on games that truly pushed boundaries are mostly gone. The big publisher's bought them out and shut them down when they weren't making the money they wanted. Both gameplay and graphical fidelity have suffered because of it.

With engines like UE5, an amateur with little experience can develop a graphically mindblowing setting that pushes the boundaries of what is technologically possible that completely blows away what game devs could have dreamed about just a few years ago; and they can do it rendered in real time, with mid-tier consumer hardware, and in as little as 15-30 minutes.

You can tell they updated a bunch but the issue most people are having is that, when games are done under the REMAKE title esp from the ground up usually the assets are also done redone to the point it would look like a ps5 game. Here, they used the same assets and just improved the textures on them rather than remaking them from scratch like when they TLOU part 2. the lighting and facials are great but those stand out.
Almost everything looks entirely redone, can you point out spots where its simply a texture resolution bump? Im looking at the environments and they're not even close to similar.

Me personally I'm fine with the updates, but I'm just talking about what others complain about. All the changes they talk about are definitely noticeable.
