I see a rear subframe removal in the near future ! Apparently it’s quite easy according to the internet ! 😊 Congrats on a mess-free oil change this time…. 😂
Looking good Brett. Were you using the funnel and rubber tube as a stethoscope? I have no idea about carbs but that looked like a special skill. Not sure there is a ‘right bank’ on a straight 6 especially when the exhaust joins then splits again 😊. I reckon that crack in the exhaust adds a nice burble though.
The series 1 has to be the nicest beautiful looking style , why don't they bring it back its not copyright for the looks after all its still a jag and best looking , get the ac working mate who wants to drive a car these days with no ac unless you live in Tasmania 😅
Can you do me a favour please? I have broken off the handbrake cable support piece that runs along the front of the cage on the passenger side; Can you please have look at yours to see if it is welded in position or is it held in position by a nut and bolt? As it is now the handbrake does not hold properly probably because the cable is not being held in the right position when I apply the brake. Wish that I had that lift, however, i might bring my pit back into operation and put one over that.
Series 1 looking and sounding better.
A bunch of memories watching this S1
You’re doing a great job saving these old Jags Brett, well done and keep up the good…and brave work.👍🏻
Thanks Mike 👍
You are a lover of Jag challenges and we love to watch.

Only a mother could love that one.
It feels gross out this morning. I don’t want to do anything beside lay here. Thank gosh for the weekend.
Coming along Brett you soon have her squared away best regards Andy Allen.

Doing an Ian Tyrell there Brett. Getting there.
the upper canister looks very much like the one on my Daimler V8-250. Ryco R243P
Thanks, I will look it up!
Inboard brakes are a pain! The guy who came up with that design must have been smoking something really strong…! Good luck with fixing!

Hi Greg
Old school balancing! Yes, you're right, I meant the right carburettor that feeds the front three cylinders😁
Shockies, Carbies :)
It's an Aussie thing
Those rear brake discs dont look shiny at all, say its been a while since they have worked.
Yeap!

I agree!
In regards to the a/c, yes, I agree i would not own a car without it, but there's nothing left of it
Need full recommissioning
So not sure

It's off the hoist at the moment
When I get back, I will have a look
Nothing like an oil and filter change on an old Jag fitted with a canister. 😠
